Hi, could I ask a question. Why is it that so many Albanian's are coming to the UK seeking refugee status? I thought it was a peaceful country with no war?
Great information! We went to Bunk'Art 2 when we were in Tirana, but Bunk'Art 1 looks fascinating as well! The hikes outside of the capital look stunning 😍
@@worldwildhearts we found it quite interesting. We were surprised how many room there were down there. It had quite a bit of information as well as a number of displays. Quite shocking and saddening to learn about what happened back then.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Tirana and was thoroughly impressed by the city. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the vibrant culture and welcoming atmosphere. The locals were incredibly friendly and always willing to help out a tourist. The city has a rich history and there are many interesting sights to see, including the Skanderbeg Square and the Et'hem Bey Mosque. Overall, Tirana is a charming city with a lot to offer and I would definitely recommend a visit.
Very helpful video Thankyou , walking tour is a must as apart from learning so much you can get your bearings so much quicker , cheers again and safe travels from our home just outside London called Watford , 😊
Tirana had a great free walking tour... one of the better ones we've done actually! Really makes you appreciate the city and culture even more... Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
Have fun in Albania! We will try to add more details like how to get around, etc in future videos. You can check out the blog posts on our website for interactive maps of each location in case they help you navigate around the country. This is the one for Tirana for instance: www.worldwildhearts.com/post/tirana-albania
Based on your video, Tirana itself is worth maybe a 2 hour visit. It has been over 100° every day this month. I will fly there in @ 3 hours, just to check it off the list and return to Zagreb.
Hi guys, congrats for the series of videos about Albania! I´ll be there this Spring and I was wondering if it is possible to reach the starting point of Gamti hike with a normal car (not 4x4). Thanks
Thanks for watching!😁 It's definitely possible to reach with a normal car. Our rental car was also quite small and we had no problem. That said, it's a dirt road with lots of potholes and trucks passing (because there's mines in the area), so be careful and patient when you drive out there!
I’m looking to go to Tirana next week, and I’m from the USA. I have AT&T with the international pass on my plan. Did y’all have problems with cell service or data? I’m curious if I’ll be able to use my phone while I’m there. Are there many public Wi-Fi spots, and do many people speak English? Thanks in advance, I’m excited!
We have a google phone number, so mainly just use wifi to make calls or text when we're traveling. Since we travel full time, this allows us to save costs on international phone plans. We will say that we didn't have any trouble finding wifi in the city. Most places to stay have reliable wifi there and you can also find many coffee shops with good wifi. People in the touristic areas of the city (restaurants, tours, taxi's, etc.) definitely speak at least basic english most of the time. Enjoy your trip to Tirana! :)
Very useful! I just arrived in Tirana, not really knowing anything. I've added some pins and will do a bit of my own exploring and make a video on my channel soon!
I think this is the best video on Albania ive seen. I only went to Tirana, getting info and travelling around is not easy there so this was great to see what i missed seeing.
Historically it was Christian country but during Muslims Caliphate and ottohman empior occupied by Muslims like Kosovo and herzagonia include checheniya
Thank you for the very informative videos about Albania, I've watched them as we're flying to Albania in two days! I have a question, hope you can help me!🙏 Can you access lake Bovilla if you take the Dajti cable car?
Have a good trip! No you can’t access the it from the cable car. Even though it’s in the same national park, it’s not near each other. You’d have to get there by vehicle.

As an Albanian grown up in Tirana, I can say that this video is one of the most realistic ones about Tirana. 👌
Thank you so much! 😄

Greek lands liberated in 1940 need to be liberated again. Half to Greece and half to Serbia 🤩
This series of Albanian videos are awesome. I had no idea Albania had so much to offer in it’s cities , beaches and mountains.
Albania is so diverse!
Visited Albania in 2007, loved it!

How am was Bunk’Art 2?! We were deciding between the two but because of the cable car it made sense to do the 1st one

Sounds similar to the one we visited then! Very saddening indeed… can’t imagine how hard it would have been living there during that time
