We all know you don’t hate horror movies, Kat.
Denial. That’s the real horror of this channel.
That young lady lives for them.
Kat ❤ You (Belgium)
I don’t even like horror movies. I have found that I like them or like watching Kat watch horror movies.😎
My thoughts exactly 😂
I got into horror at a very young age. My father took me to see this movie when I was 6 years old, say what you will about his decision but I begged him for it. We happened to go to a showing while a bad storm was going on outside. At that exact moment that lady gets the skin treatment all the lights in the threatre including the screen went out. People started screaming like you wouldn't believe. Always will be a favorite memory in my head. He passed away a few months ago on my 26th birthday. I know nobody is reading this, I just needed to get it off my chest. Anyways amazing reaction, happy tears in my eyes as I watch. Thanks for the memory Kat.❤
I read it. Had something similar happen during Twister at a cinema in Jay, Oklahoma, with my Papa. 1996. Don't think it counts, also got one about seeing Spawn after eating pizza hut with my uncle and cousin. That one doesn't end well.
I went to see Arachnophobia with a jumbo bag of Skittles hidden in my coat. I was struggling opening it when the first spider-death went down. I sprayed Skittles across three rows of movie-goers, and the screams and panic were EPIC!
Duuude.... 🫢
When I was that age, my parents were concerned to show me Ghostbusters... 😅
I remember I had to cover my eyes for that library scene....
And you were younger when your dad died than I was when my mom died.
Believe me, I read it. I care. And I have now a place reserved for you in my heart! Take care!
If you ever wanna talk, I think, I've left my email on my canal.
At least 117 of us read it and liked it
Wow! A movie where Sean Bean survives, especially surprising since it's a horror movie.
I know, right? Sean Bean goes to Silent Hill, and SURVIVES?!
"One does not simply walk into Silent Hill."
wasnt he in the second part, too?
@@darioactive-man3287 Yup. Ned Stark even got to reunite with Jon Snow.
Fun fact: Sean Bean survives in most of his movies. The mortality rate of Sean Bean's characters is 0.32 deaths/film, tied with Bela Lugosi, and followed closely by Mickey Rourke and John Hurt with 0.31 deaths/film. Now you know! :p
Because of this movie, I always whisper "Only the Dark One opens and closes the door to Silent Hill" whenever I drive into fog. Haven't crashed and ended up in Silent Hill yet, so it seems to work.
I was reading your comment just as the line was read. That was creepy.
I really love your username, BTW.
Funny that you mention that when I grill outside and the fire flares up, when I start grilling, I always say to my siblings “into the fire she swallowed their hate”
Whenever I drive up a hill in silence I always whisper quietly “silent hill”
Im going to pull over on the shoulder in silent fear and whisper this to whoever is riding with me next time this happens. Brilliant.
Officer Cybil Bennett is one of those characters that absolutely didn't deserve their fate.
But did she have a worst fate in the games (the bad ending)?
@@michelegraham1181 nah, she was possessed and shot, I'd take that over being roasted alive any day.
@@WrathOfGrapesN7 MAYBE she was possessed and shot. It was possible to save her while still getting the bad ending. It was also possible to kill her and get the good ending.
@@michelegraham1181 Gracious, no. Bad ending, she was either shot to death or died in a motorcycle crash...or was never there at all.
Eh, the creepy way she acted going up to the child, following them out of town. It wouldnt take much to shift the horror movie to canibal cop.
She went into the mom‘s body because she couldn’t enter the church. However, the mother entered, and all the faithful didn’t know that the demon was inside her. So when the chief religious crazy lady stabbed her and her blood hit the floor, they inherently killed an innocent. Allowing the demon into the church to kill them all.
OooooOOohhh! And that makes sense. Rose is dead and they get to spend eternity in a calm limbo but that's what they both want - to be mother and daughter and haunt Sean Bean, who is the only alive person by the end.
@@hanonondricek411 Not really. It's more like they're alive in an alternate reality. In the second one Rose manages to send her daughter out of the world she's in to Sean Bean's character, where she grows up and I think she's high school age in it. It's not really described how she does this, but that's where the second much worse movie begins.
Yeah The town is kind of its own pocket dimension. And when you're working with demons to get revenge, you don't honestly expect them to give you a happily ever after, do you?
Nah, it was simply that the demon couldn't enter the church on its own without a vessel to carry it over the threshold.
The stabbing let it out of her allowing the church to be corrupted as everything else is at night.
@@hanonondricek411
"and haunt Sean Bean, who is the only alive person by the end"
No, the male police officer (the one who took down Alessa after she was burned) is also alive.
He left the town before it all went kablooey.
"instead she'll probably get burned at the stake."
- That's a pretty good guess, let's see what happens.
Still hard to watch, that part
It's not called silent Hill but there really is a town in Pennsylvania called Centralia that's been burning underground since 1962😮
That's what the game was based upon, or at the very least the game setting was mirrored on for the plot of the game.
@@GeckoMTGA only the movie town is based on Centralia, not the game, the game is a bit different
Yep. I went through there once on a trip to Gettysburg. I programmed my GPS to say "Now Entering Silent Hill" when we hit the waypoint for the town. My wife was not impressed.
I went to school near there, sadly they closed off all roads into Centralia right before I graduated and I never got to explore.
@@GeckoMTGA This is a misnomer. The games were never influenced by Centralia in any way. Masahiro Ito himself confirmed that in a tweet years ago. The MOVIE was what was influenced by Centralia. Not the games themselves.
The little girl was amazing. She had to play the role of three separate characters in a really dark horror film. Definitely one of my favorite game adaptation movies.
Yeah, I agree. 😏
If you want to see more of her, you can watch "Kingdom Hospital" as well.
It´s a horror series about a haunted hospital with 12 or 13 episodes, where she plays one of the "most important" child ghosts. (there are a lot more ghosts than just her though) 😉
Silent Hill is one of those truly unique films..... Sean Bean survived!!!
and in horror.. unbelievable
The Silent Hill series of games has so many bonkers story beats about trauma, manifestations of trauma and guilt, cults, a LOT of monsters based on SA, but lord it is a scary series with the most haunting visuals. Also Pyramid Head is one of the series' most infamous villains who is a creation of the mind of a guy who wants to punish himself but doesn't know why.
Silent Hill 2 omg what an amazing game
@@blinkspacestudio8892 and we're getting a remake of it, and a movie of it!
And I will not forgive them for whatever they did to Him after SH2.
The only monster (at-least in the original 4 games and those sequels I've played) explicitly based on SA trauma is Abstract Daddy/Ideal Father. Some of the SH3 ones might be based on a general fear of it, but might be also be general puberty-related anxiety/conflicted feelings and fear of pregnancy/impregnation spesifically. The janitor monster from the film was invented for it.
It’s not really night time when all the weird stuff happens. Think of the foggy/ashy look as a Limbo dimension, and when the siren goes off and everything gets dark and weird, it’s a Hell dimension.
Alls we want is satisfaction
“What if you can’t get no?” 😂 that cracked me up.
"This movie is so atmospheric. Like the atmosphere is (deep breath) heavy. It weighs on you."
You basically summed up the games.
Well, the first few anyway.
He will forever be Triangle Boy to me now.
Triangle Boy
Triangle Boy
Triangle Boy hates every human
They have a fight, Triangle wins
To explain the end, it was Alessa’s dark and light sides coming together as one. Alessa was finally whole, and you notice the look she gives Dahlia, it’s her punishment for her. Disowning her as a mother, and leaving her there as punishment. Rose was the mother she truly seeks and she plans to have her all for herself.
I don't mean to be rude, but I believe that your interpretation is incorrect.
This is a pretty solid interpretation no matter what the other dude said
@@Joey7Z7Horror It's a cool interpretation but, unfortunately, it is not in line with the references and plot points in the movie even though the film is somewhat based on the Silent Hill Lore.
@@joemacdonald6312 yea I’m just saying it’s still pretty cool IMO
@@Joey7Z7Horror Oh ok, I agree with that.
Crazy memory I still have is seeing this in the theatre opening day with some video game industry friends. After the movie was over, got up to leave, turned around and Stephen R. Hart (the really tall elder) along with some of the rest of the cast was sitting right behind me, and he was towering over us. For a moment it freaked me out as we had just watched him get torn to pieces just a few minutes early, and I wasn't used to many people being taller than me. :)
Haha that's pretty epic! Saw this in theaters too!
The director for this film is working on a movie based on SILENT HILL 2 and by what I’ve seen it looks pretty good like this one. So that’s another silent hill film to look forward to
I hope so. I really liked this Silent Hill but the sequel, Silent Hill: Revelation, was absolutely one of the worst movies I have ever seen. If the new one has the director from the original then maybe it has a shot at being good.
@@MrTyler918273 they had the perfect chance to adapt silent hill 2 story and all. they even had sean bean in his prime under contract.instead they fired the original director and went with the 3d garbage. sigh...
SH: Revalations is a guilty pleasure of mine. I hope Kat watches it soon.
@@MrTyler918273 the problem with Silent Hill: Revelation was that they tried to fit I think games 2-4 into a single movie... it had promise but they just messed it up by trying to fit so much into it.
I doubt they'll get it right. Silent Hill 2 was something else. All the subtext, the perfectly sculpted atmosphere... Even James's wooden voice added to it because he was a man who was truly at the end of his rope when he got to town. He just doesn't care about anything other than seeing this "trip" to the end.
No one noticed how Rose’s outfit kept getting darker, she started with light gray colors and ended up with dark red colors😅
The creepy kid in this movie is Jodelle Ferland who has multiple creepy children roles starting from the age of six. One you should definitely watch, if you haven't already, is The Cabin in the Woods.
she shines in Case 39, too. I love Ferland’s creepy roles
She was in a really good sci-fi show called Dark Matter too, from the creators of Stargate SG-1, it was cancelled after three seasons but it's worth a watch.
@@krashdI was really disappointed when Dark Matter was cancelled. It was one of the best shows on the Syfy channel, but it wasn't an in-house production, so they cancelled it for something that they owned full rights to. The production team tried to find a new channel for it, but ran out of time on their various contracts.
She's also the main character in Tideland, one of those films that's not a horror film but is still creepier than most.
She is also in the TV Show Kingdom Hospital (The Stephen King Version)
I love my generation!! When Kat was like left, left, right,a,b,a…with that humor. Only the OGs know.
Fun behind the scenes facts, the guy that was in charge of the dance/movement choreography of all the monsters was also the janitor in the bathroom, as well as the pyramid head character.
There was writing on the wall behind the body in the toilet saying "double dare you" with an arrow pointing to their mouth. That's why she looked.
So when I play Silent Hill from now on I will refer to the enemies as "Wiggly Jigglers" as you call them.
And triangle head 🤣
35:55 "Not such bad people after all!"
Wait for it...
37:45 "A horror movie wouldn't kill somebody that I love"
Wait for it...
Yeah, I was thinking, "Kat, they make you like someone in these movies, so it hurts later when they kill them!"
YES! You just made a friend for life!
In the bathroom, the wall said dare you double dare you, And it had an arrow pointing to his mouth. That's how she knew to look for the key.
For real man
The location makes so much more sense once we get the flashback reveal and learn who's mouth it was.
Bro I thought you wrote this comment because you were implying that she should be your friend for understanding that the key was in there but then I got the part and she was totally clueless 😭
@Joey7Z7Horror
Nah, I'm a huge silent hill fan, I've been asking reactors all over youtube to watch this movie, and she's the first to do it. As for the key, people miss things sometimes.
@@eddiejravannen OHHHHHHH the “You just made a new friend!” and the explanation were two different parts of the comment I get it now lol 😅
All the monsters, maybe except Pyramid head, were professional dancers 😊
Oh, he definitely was a dancer. Did you see those shoes? Only a trained dancer could move in those babies.
The guy who performed as Pyramid Head was the stunt coordinator, if I remember right.
Edit: and also was Colin/janitor.
He turned me on professionally… 😅
@@mattstanford9673 Correct, he played Pyramid Head and Colin, and also choreographed the dancing for the others.
I'm pretty sure Pyramid Head could cut a rug. He's got sharp dance moves and his timing is on point.
"Sinners deserve the lose their spawn" "Chill, Anna" lol Oh fun fact, I'm Korean and the national flower is called a Rose of Sharon! Ugh Cybil is the best, huge crush
I'm going to file national flower fact away in my brain in the big folder of "useless knowledge that I might be able to insert into a conversation later"
I love how the acid spray in the beginning is like, "okay, Cybil's gonna be a huge badass all the way through, but just in case people don't like her enough, let's have her look absolutely glorious doing it"
This is a movie where almost every piece of dialogue is super important. Especially Dahlia, literally every one of her lines explains what is going on. And that is just one of the things I love about this movie. I'm so excited for the sequel, well, the real sequel , Return to Silent Hill.
Oh, my God! I clicked this so fast. Haven't even watched it yet but I just love this movie so much, I even had it on the DVD when it came out and it's one of my favorites to watch even though it's not really game-accurated.

"Lack of respect for the law is the real horror of this movie".
YOU ARE SUCH A CANADIAN.
Seriously, I once dated a woman from Mississauga. You guys are ADORABLE.
Fun fact: they used the original composer from the games Akira Yamaoka. He has such a unique style of music and horror. In fact, they used as many of the original games creators as possible to give the movie the same scary feeling from the game. I don't care what other people say but this movie was brilliant and a faithful adaptation from the original source material
You should play Silent Hill, and Silent Hill 2. It will give you a greater appreciation for just how good this movie really is, as an adaptation. It was really well done, especially their attention to even some game play details, without making it seem cheesy either.
The scene in the church where they’re all shouting about witches and burnings always reminded me of that scene in Monty Pythons The Holy Grail where they’re trying to decide if the lady is a witch or not 😂

I very strongly recommend getting this on DVD or Blu-ray and watching the “Making Of” special feature, which is basically a second movie and really gets into the aesthetics of the film, including the different realities and the designs and movements of the various creatures.
This is a seriously underrated horror. Before Last of Us and Fallout TV shows everyone said "there are no decent video game adaptations" to which I always replied "Silent Hill ?!?"
Radha Mitchell is a really great actress (look at Man on Fire). This is a game I will still pop in my PS2 which is always plugged in just to experience it's mood and atmosphere which this movie absolutely nails. The scene in the school toilet is maybe one of the most terrifying scenes in all horror. Very Clive Barker.

Spot on!
Silent Hill the movie is actually a banger! Its way different than the game but as an inspired by silent hill movie, Its a gem.
Haha you little fists were swinging. Adorable!
Wouldn't be a reaction vid without some Kat-Fu.
the "Demon child" wasn't a demon she was essentially a grim reaper, brought forth by Alessa to torment and eventually reap the souls of the cult that had murdered her. The Town is a Purgatory of sorts that torments and punishes people who have wronged. Sharon's mother and the Police Officer died in an accident just inside the boundaries of the Town. So the bit at the end when she leaves with who is essentially Alessa they are still in Purgatory, which is why everything is covered in fog.
I don't mean to be rude, but I believe that your interpretation is incorrect.
Nah, that's a demon. She's a manifestation of the dark power that Alessa always had. She wasn't exactly persecuted for NO reason. Neither Rose or Cybil were dead...though Cybil met her end later. Silent Hill is a living purgatory. Everyone there is very much alive.
The cop isn't dead. If he were, he wouldn't be able to interact with Sean Bean's character. The cop didn't do anything wrong. Everyone else was put into purgatory by Alessa.
@@rabidrobbie the cop with the wife, not Sean Bean.
@@Bluesit32 1) nope, it not a demon, it’s the devil. The director told the actress how she felt that she was going to play the devil. The devil later says I have many names just like the devil. 2) Your going off the game that Alyssa had dark power, which she never did it’s just a common misunderstanding, but you can’t use the games story because they are fundamentally different. Alyssa NEVER had any powers; the movie never says she had powers and NEVER shows that before the end of the movie. Alyssa just had the misfortune of being born out of wedlock that’s it. Unless you can find proof ONLY in the movie not the game to discredit this, these are the answers.
Laurie Holden also played teacher Amanda Dunfrey in the Mist. She was one of the characters that sided with Thomas Jane's David Drayton and she seemed to played up as a sort of, kind of, maybe love interest to Drayton. Amanda was also one of the 4 other characters that left with Drayton in his jeep at the end of the movie... I didn't even realize she was the same actress until now.
She was also one of the original characters in The Walking Dead, which is no surprise since the first season was directed by the guy who directed The Mist, Frank Darabont, he is very loyal to actors so half of the cast of The Mist were in the first season of TWD.
@@krashd The rewrite they did with her character was insane. She was supposed to die, not her daughter.

I agree about this being a beautiful one. They also had a lot of fun with color. The lead woman apparently had something like dozens of the same shirt in gradients of shade, and over the course of the film it slowly changes color as she goes deeper into the story. Watched an interesting behind the scenes doc on it.
One of the good game adaptations to the big screen. I tend to watch it a few times each year and never get tired of it. It is a wild ride to catch the whole meaning of the city, what went wrong, what type of punishment is fit, etc. Glad to see you react to it!
Disagree, it has almost nothing of the original game. It nails the atmosphere but completely butchers the games actual plot to tell a completely different story. I hate it especially out of spite because the director purposefully replaced the male protagonist with a woman because he felt a man looking for their child in a nightmare town didn't make as much sense as a woman doing it.
Alice Krige (Christabella) is a great actress, with this being one of her best performances alongside her role in Star Trek: First Contact as the Borg Queen.
It's something about watching her speak.
@@FallenRingbearer - I'm not ashamed to admit, the Borg Queen kind of "does it" for me, she was somehow very erotic almost in the way she spoke and carried her self
Loved her in Sleepwalkers!
I think her acting started to fall apart towards the end. "Burn her! Burn her as a witch!" something, something something "Burn her!"
I loved her as the Borg Queen. Like Picard said, "She was special.".
"The atmosphere" you talked about being heavy, also exists in the games. It's a really cool attribute. The building of suspense vs jump scares only.
Hearing Pyramid Head being called "their triangle-headed leader" and "triangle boy" has made my day. Kat, you always manage to make me smile and laugh and I love it. You can have as much of my "precious time" as you need.
Roses shirt gradually becomes more and more bloody. She had over 200 different versions of her outfit
I think they really nailed the Silent hill vibe (liminal space, cold, rusty) which is why I absolutely love this movie. But I know a lot of hardcore silent hill (game) fans would disagree
I am one of those hardcore Silent Hill fans and you are right: the atmosphere is fantastic and Gans really nailed the Silent Hill feeling. It's definitively one of the better video game adaptiations. Fans didn't like Gans completely swaying away from the core material and creating an own lore that contradicts the lore of the games' original trilogy by Team Silent at nearly every point.
I'm also a hardcore fan and while it's not 100% accurate to the games I still think it's a great and really fun adaptation and the sequel is pure cheesy goodness
They really captured the vibes, the Creature design is spot on, and using Akira Yamaokas music is great
Also really love the Air Raid horn signalling the Otherworld
This movie is underrated af. This film has a lot more to it and when I watched this film last year, it was truly an EXPERIENCE. It’s a low key horror masterpiece to me and it was even the very film that inspired me to start watching more horror movies almost weekly to almost nightly when it’s summer vacation or break
You’re definitely right about some fans hating the changes story but I feel like the awful sequel (and several disappointing game sequels) probably made people appreciate this movie a lot more 😂
I've only played Silent Hill Shattered Memories and I've watched a playthrough of the first game, so I'm hardly a "hardcore" fan, but I don't get the hate this movie got. Compared that what was done back in the days, in both video game adaptations and horror movies, this was a *phenomenal* movie. Creative liberties are to be expected and I really didn't think it any of it detracted from what the game was at its core. The atmosphere, the music, the sound design, the creatures, etc. everything is dead on. And listening to complaints about the movie I find that many people simply didn't understand quite a few things about it... /shrug
Thank you kat, I asked you to watch the movie. I did not expect you to upload a video so quickly on RUclips 😂❤
This movie was super underrated and deserved better sequel treatment IMO

The movie was filmed in Canada, mostly in Ontario. When the cop and husband are driving down main street in Silent Hill, that was in Brantford. The school was in St. George NB. And the bridge into Silent Hill was apparently on Sewells Road, near the Toronto Zoo (1119 Sewells Road)....so basically, Toronto is Raccoon City from the Resident Evil 2 movie, and the the area around Toronto is Silent Hill lol.
and i am not 100% sure, but alessia has quite some likeness to the red queen from the resident evil movies...
When the siren goes off is the closest thing I've seen to a Schizophrenic break down on film. also stellar creepy girl casting.

The woman who plays Christabella, actress Alice Krige, was in one of the creepiest horror movies I've ever seen. And her character was one of the scariest horror characters I've ever seen. The movie is named, "Ghost Story" (1981). It also stars Fred Astaire, John Houseman, and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. I was a young boy when I first saw this movie, and it scared the heck outta me!
Krige also plays the "Borg Queen" in Star Trek: First Contact (1996).

I would pay good money to see Kat sit in a movie theater and her watching a horror movie in public lol
So long as you're not sitting next to her. She would knock a mfer out lol
The Frighteners!
That’s a good choice
I was 15 when this came out and had been watching horror most my life, but this one shook me. I didn't watch it again until last year
"It's like a creepy scavenger hunt". That's exactly what the Silent Hill Franchise is based on. You end up for some reason in Silent Hill and have to figure out why you ended up there as you face all sort of Psychological Abominations working toward your goal. This movie uses monsters from the various games. Just think Resident Evil but more psychological horror, exploration, and less fighting. The story is loosely based on the original Silent Hill for Playstation. Love this movie and finally the real world inspiration for Silent Hill is Centralia PA. A town that was bought by the state to keep people out because of underground coal fires which continue to grow 75' in each direction each year and will be burning beyond our lifetime.
Kat I really want you to watch Knowing (2009). I was not expecting you to watch Silent Hill as it’s one of my favorite horror movies of the 2000s but another one worth checking out is Knowing. It may be a thriller film but considering that horror cinema in itself are essentially thriller films, I think Knowing qualifies well as a horror flick and you absolutely should check it out. In the meantime, this reaction will be awesome!
While many who love the games criticize the movie for not adapting the story of the first game 100%, I've always loved this movie. It is gorgeous, the characters are smart, it is well acted and I just love this unique brand of horror. I'm glad you like it, too. It is probably one of the best video game movies out there and I do have high hopes because the director is currently working on a movie version of Silent Hill 2!
Also: don't watch the second movie (Revelations). Different director and personally, I thought it was quite bad.
Yes, I'm a fan of the games and the movie, both are great really
I love the games, but get that movies rarely adapt the story fully. Just capturing the essence is enough and this movie did just that. And the replication of the alleyway section from the first game was amazing. ...needed some wheelchairs though.
I absolutely *LOVE* ❤❤❤ this movie! When it was in theaters, my husband and I saw it 4 times and each time, I was enchanted by its visuals, the soundtrack and the story. The only thing I didn’t like was the third or fourth time seeing this, my husband’s joke about Officer Bennett. “She was hot but by the end of the movie, she got +reeeaally+ hot.” I groaned and gave him a light but firm punch in the arm. 🤣
I also absolutely love ❤❤❤❤ your reactions to these movies, Kat. You’re witty and funny with the sarcasm without being obnoxious (like some other reactors I’ve seen). I subbed months ago and it brightens my (and hubby’s) day when we see you’ve posted. 🤗 here’s looking forward to many, many more reactions!
5:05 I ALWAYS look forward to what the "real horror of this story" is. :) You never disappoint, Kat.
The officer with the blonde hair was in Stephen King the mist
Also, The Walking Dead. Laurie Holden is honestly a treasure. ❤
Kat, you should see "When Evil Lurks"; It was the best horror movie of 2023. Also, “Silent Hill” was surprisingly good, especially for being an adaptation of a video game
Years ago I went to Centralia. The mine fire has burned past the town now, but when I was there, there were places where smoke and steam were still coming from small holes (like a chain link fence post hole adjacent to one of the cemeteries) and cracks in the ground. I had an infrared laser thermometer with me. Twelve inches down in the hole the temperature was 180 degrees. There are very few buildings left, although, weirdly, the sidewalks remain, and the main 4-lane highway was closed off decades ago because of the smoking cracks that kept opening and could never be filled. The foliage and trees in line with the crack(s) and leading into the woods was brown and dead. It is still possible to find one's way there, but there really is no longer a "there" there. As for Silent Hill, the downtown was filmed at a real block of commercial buildings due for demolition in Brantford, Ontario. See, more Kat-nada!
Visually, this is a very accurate depiction of the video game.
If you haven't yet, you should watch Pitch Black. Same leading actress.
A rare good Vin Diesel movie. They did Officer Aeryn Sun dirty though.
Someone made a sequel. It... isn't good.
sad sequel noises
It's also has Jon Snow in it 😂
@kingslayer2999 It was his first movie too.
More like really, really bad sequel...
@@thelazygamer1639 Poor bastard.
If you get it, you get it.
Such an underrated movie. Definitely one of the videogame adaptations. The same director of this film is coming back to direct the upcoming Silent Hill film so I have hope it might be good.
I LOVE that they added a short line about the kid being dropped in a mineshaft to explain Cybil's behaviour at the start. She's not being a crap cop, she's been traumatized by an event she never wants to see repeated.
Being a small town, it's understandable that she never got the time off and therapy she needed, so even if it's not right, it's at least realistic.
There are no words to describe the experience of playing this game back in the day. There are also no words to describe this movie. Great reaction nonetheless!
"Tense"? "Sweaty palms"? "Dread inducing"? "Dear god, the sounds!"? Those feel like good descriptions of how it felt. Especially in the damn school. Every time the screen went black as you opened a door, you tensed up, expecting the sound of one of those "children" while praying for silence when the screen comes back on. Then they come at you, latching on, laughing, while the others slash at you...
Hey Kat!
The reason you didn't know there were hills there was because they were silent... lol! 😂😂😂 erm..... oh!.... lol! 😂
Silent hill is such a great movie.
You should definitely watch the second one if you wish to know more.
I don't know if you're a gamer or not, although I'm guessing most likely not these days but I love that silent hill stuck to many of the rules of the game and style while also kinda being its own thing.
It was so well done and for me, definitely was not disappointed as can often be the case when games are made into movies.
I would love to see you play the remake of Silent Hill 2 as it is said to be in the making.
It would also be interesting to see you play something like Resident evil Biohazard and resident evil village, ahhahaha! 😂😂
I think I'd be in tears of laughter seeing you play those knowing how you react to movies, lol! 😂
Of course, all in good fun though! 😂
As an artist, I can understand why you feel it was a beautiful movie in a visual sense.
It's strange how even some of the most horrific and terrible things can have a strange beauty about them.
I'm glad you enjoyed the movie.
A great reaction once again.
Have a fantastic day, take care! ❤
