- Long time in the making, our new Casual Themed Deck gameplay is all about BROOMS and MUSKETEERS. With the release of Set 4, Ursula's Return, these two themes got everything they were missing to make a concise and exciting deck around these synergies. These are a very fun, casual and somewhat budget theme decks.

Because of your videos the game started to interest me very much and I have ordered the new starter decks and the coop Deep Trouble game. I could play them with my friend all day and even my 3 years of daughter took part and counted the lore we collected. It was a great experience, thank you for the great showcase.

Theme decks are the best. Honestly when I build decks I go for theme over meta. The resulting matches are incredibly fun!

We are glad you liked it! 😊 We have a lot of fun playing with more casual and themed decks. It’s just so fun to realize all of the different synergies between themes. Can’t wait for more sets to come up, so we can put together even more themes.
In the broom deck you could also play Bruno Madrigal | Undetected Uncle
Absolutely! With so many Brooms, he’s likely to hit quite often. For these decks, we try and stay as close to the theme as possible which is why he’s not included. But we’ve been trying him out in our Broom list we run at league

I didn't have enough for a straight up musketeers deck, so it wounf up becoming a keepers of justice deck, with, of all people, GANTU leading the charge!

They are very strong synergies indeed. A lot of cars draw and constant back and forth between brooms. 😬

@@InkbornHeroes focus would be on the titans, but also cerberus, flotsam and jetsam, and perhaps the firebird and variations of scar and diablo.
No card sleeves scared me! Nice video tho
It scares us as well! 😂 But for recording, with our current lighting setup we were getting a lot of glare on top of it. But as soon as the recording ended, we sleeved it all over again haha!

@@InkbornHeroes oh good question!! I did add more wayward sorcerer Mickey's because I think it's a very good card. I'm not very great at building decks so😂
At 18:20 when Mickey is shifted in, the musketeer player draws 2 cards because of Goofy and the first Mickey but could have drawn a third because the second Mickey is also a Bodyguard.
If that’s the case, it definitely makes Mickey a bit more playable. But I’m not sure if he’d be considered to be “in play” when the check for bodyguards happens.

Great gameplay! Love the style of both decks. Musketeers should had this one, though!
Around 12:05 and 21:50, Goofy could have quested for 2 before a Bodyguard was played - and with the Steel Mickey Musketeer's ability, Goofy could have banished the big broom in one go, so he still would have been able to do everything else. Playing that last Donald Duck for +1 Lore would have been game!
Oh, you're so right! This deck required a bit of mental gymnastics to try and remember to trigger all of the abilities and synergies in the right order, but it's true that if those two turns were played differently, the Musketeers could have brought it home ⚔
When you play an item, do you have to wait next turn to use its effects? Great video btw very entertaining

You can use the effects of an item in the same turn you've played it.
You should add the floodborn little John to the musketeer deck it should help
We try and stick as close to the theme for these videos, but I did try out Little John in the musketeer deck I play in league. Honestly, I found him to be a bit too slow. Maybe if he’s shifted in, but the low cost version isn’t great either 🤔
Would you guys ever do subscriber deck battles? I have a broom deck that I would love to see you play because your better than me lol I want to see it kick butt hahaha

We designed it ourselves. You can get access to all the playmats we designed so far (over 20!) if you join our Tier 3 RUclips Membership. Otherwise, we also share one design (in random) per month to all members on our discord server. Come join us in the server to grab the current one we shared! ^^

Loved this gameplay video. The synergies were amazing to watch. Just waiting for my set 4 cards to arrive so I can make my very own broom deck. Any recommendations of how it can be altered slightly to make it a bit more competitive (suitable for league matches) I've never played competitively yet but I'd love to have a fun deck to play with that can give others a run for their money

17:28 I believe the broom deck forgot to gain lore from his location card this turn.
The Sorcerer’s Tower actually doesn’t have any passive lore gain. Instead, characters there get +1 lore when they quest.

Suggestion: What are your thoughts on tweaking your Magic Broom Deck a little?
Add: 1- Smash
2- Rise of the Titans
Remove: 1- Friends on the other
side
1- The Sorcerer’s Hat
1- The Sorcerer’s Tower
It’s all good! We’re all learning 😊 Those sound like some good improvements. The Hat is fun but very gimmicky so could definitely be swapped out. If it was less Brook themed, I’d definitely add the Merlin/Mim bounce package to get more value out of Mickey and Yen Sid too.
question about playing the brooms though, shouldn't it cost 1 less ink because of Sorcerer Mickey?
It should! We kept forgetting about the discount, and it could really have made a difference in some of the turns.

A Ruby Steel or Ruby Sapphire Hero deck could be cool with the new Anna and Phil cards

@@Aelin777 We rely a lot on finding the full arts from the artists of the game, so we usually start from there. That's why sometimes some particular art might take longer to put together, as some of these arts take a while to be shared.
When we can find it, at times, I had to draw it myself some of the extension using Pro Create, on iPad.
Okay. Do you just find it on their Instagram accounts or websites?
Usually their portfolios, since they can post in super high resolution. Just give your favourite artists a Google and see what you can find 😊
The lack of sleeves 😮. Great video!
Hahah we use sleeves. We just had to take it off for this one video, because of our current lighting setup. We are having trouble avoiding the light reflecting on it. Until we fix that, we need to make these videos without sleeves! XD

Not normally 😂 But the sleeves were glaring because of the light so we had to take them off

Hey! We mentioned that a few times already in the video, but here it go again 😜 We use sleeves in our cards on a daily basis. But we couldn’t use for this, and some of our next videos, because we were having issues with glaring on camera. It would be pointless to make a gameplay video if all the cards were hard to see on screen. Also, you might not have noticed, but all legendaries had tight sleeves in this video.
All that said, we now have bought the proper lighting equipment and can now use sleeves for the videos as well. 🥳 Stay tuned!

That broom synergy > musketeer synergy.
I think the musketeers would be serve as a complement to a deck versus being the headline event. Similar to Flotsam & Jetsam or Jaq & Gus or other minor synergistic characters.
I think you’re definitely correct. We’re going to build a slightly more competitive version of the Musketeer deck to run at our local league.
I agree with you, they need more lower cost musketeers and some better pay offs
