The Thunder Hammer is my favorite power weapon. Can't go wrong with a hammer that hits like a truck with an explosion that is accompanied by the sound of thunder.
It was forged in the depths of the "hate mines" using "hatemium", then was shaped by the "hate smiths" of the great "hate forge". It was purified by "hate priests" and blessed with a liquid called "Hateful hate". Then the machine sprit was forced to learn about the various unfortunate events that happened to the "Mourners". This caused the to go into a rage-like state in which the machine spirit now is filled with hate for the galaxy because of what it does to nice people. Then, when everything is settled and done, the " hatemace" is now ready to spread hate across the galaxy in an endless "hate march" to follow Space King's trail of hate.
There's a Homebrew Chapter called the Angry Marines who possess weapons such as the Power Bats, Power Feet, and Power Chairs. I would not be surprised if someone made a Power Helmet for headbutting, Power Gun, Power Fingers, Power Grenades, Power Tanks, Power Titans....Power Servitors, Power Priests....
The way the thunder hammer works is actually far, far cooler, and deadlier than you described. Power weapons wrap the weapon in a force field, giving it exceedingly amplified cutting or striking force. The Thunder Hammer works by rapidly expanding that force field through the target, literally breaking them apart at the atomic level.
Btw an imperial fist chaplain gave an inquisitor trainee his crozius (scaled wayyy down) after she saved his life by picking up an ASTARTES crozius and smashed a nurgle daemon's spine. Of course it broke both of her arms even when she was wearing power armour 😂
Power-chains are weird considering each teeth has its own field so you have both a chain weapon that isn't rendering itself unusable each battle and an absolute maintenance nightmare when the day finally comes.
I am not sure how much this is true, but I heard that Space Marines originally could not use Thunder Hammers without donning Terminator Armor first. The first Dawn of War game definitely had a hand with making this weapon look cool, especially in the hands of Gabriel Angelos, the most iconic Space Marine character from the franchise. Spoilers for the first Dawn of War game: the two-handed Thunder Hammer was bestowed to Angelos by Inquisitor Mordecai Toth before the last campaign mission, believing that the weapon would be more effective in the hands of a Space Marine, especially since the final boss of said mission was a Daemon Prince. Of course, the fact Toth never requested his weapon back probably played a hand to fuel the "Bloody Magpies" meme that is so prevalent among the Blood Ravens today (Angelos was a member of a Chapter created specifically for the Dawn of War games, originally as a Captain, but has since ascended to Chapter Master).
Thunder hammers have always been available to marines in power armor, they were just popularized by Dawn of War and, later, their two-handed variants in Space Marine. You can see both 1 hand and 2 hand hammers in vanguard veterans, and Deathwatch heavy thunder hammers.
@@tau-5794thunder hammers were only available to terminators in 2nd ed as were lightning claws, which is why melee armed Terminator units are still equipped with them
Fellas, havent seen it anywhere, but wouldnt it be nice if I could see a space marine holding a Dragonslayer sized power sword, except its in proper proportions. A space marine chapter master, holding a very large, sharp, power sword would be so aesthetically pleasing. It be like if Guts was built like a adamantium brick shithouse.
My favorite power weapons are the crozius arcanums of the chaplains. The way that each crozius differs in design from one chaplain to another is a nice bit of individuality in the ranks of the Space Marines.
I think some do, it’s just a case of it being to expensive to mass produce them like that. If I remember right the chain fist is an example of a chainsword with a power field. Just in a fist
My personal favourites are power flails and corvus hammers the death wing use. Completely shatter an astartes' armour and bones so you can take him alive lol.
Slight mistake/ missing weapon. The true power claw being a power fist tipped with claws, I've more commonly seen it in 30k but does show up on certain models for 40k too. Examples off the top of my head would be The Talon of Horus, Argel Tal's power claws (they dont have a specific name as far as I'm aware) and power claws that can be on the cataphracti terminators. A bigger example is the Arioch power claw for the warlord titan (can be built as either a power claw or fist but is called a claw either way)
Kinda ignored the NEcron Rods of Covenant and Warscythes and Phase Blades. Fractal blades, there's a lot of exotic edge-cases that count as power weapons.
Can you imagined a power version of a pile bunker!!!! It was using the same principle as rhe thunder hammer but on a more devastating impact cause it some how injected the crackling thundering effect directly into the enemy body....
Love the work but aren't power claw the striaght version of the power talons which look like the orc one but human. No expert but have been listening to lore for a while.
Thinking about the power maul reminds me of when Lorgar hits Corvus in the chest and it’s said that it hit so hard it knocked down every wall around them.
The trouble with this the weapons are human based, but the older races the Aeldari and Necrons, would have had weapons that humans couldn't even dream of, weapons created by the old ones during the War in Heaven.
In Pariah Nexus, Necron exotic weapon usage was met with the the forbidden weapons from Dark Age of Technology Just because they are from the War in Heaven doesn't mean the great horrors unleashed during the Cybernetic Revolt are less deadly Imperium still has many powerful weapons from the Dark Age.
Axe can't Perry or block like the other weapons. Do you have any idea how to use a weapon? Axes are great for parrying and blocking. There is almost a shield and a weapon at the exact same time if you know how to use one. What type of dumb ass statement is this? Apparently, you have no understanding of weapons. As the video progresses, your explanation and understanding of how weapons work just get worse. I love the idea that you're explaining the weapons, but your descriptions of how they're used, what they are, and their classifications are absolutely horrible. It is very apparent that you do not understand anything about weapons, how they work, why they have the classifications that they do, and what categories weapons go in.

Literal WarHammer 40kg
same and so true 👍👍
LMAO the revered Thunder Hammer of the Imperium, designed by Johnny Thunder
1:50 I can't believe you forgot about Space King's favorite weapon...
THE HATE MACE
It is just a crozius arcanum with a much more vocal machine spirit and the power field can only be adjusted through hate.
@crucibleuser2807 and it has a face
PRAISE BE TO SPACE KING!
Forged in the hate forges of planet Heaven

And some sort of halberd wpuld be pretty god damn goood
And librarian and chaplain classes
@@MoreLoreYThey can I ask you a question?
Bro they need to bring lightning claws back to the tabletop outside of the Black Templars' Sword Brethren kit
@@MadLadMartyMcFly85 And something along the line of the power maces by the dark angels deathwing knights would be cool
Video ideas. "Force Weapons", "Warp/Psyker Powers"

Or as badger put it, it handles like a bus, but also hits like a bus, running a stop sign in a school zone

Even he had to admit that she had earned it and his respect.
A personal favorite is the power lead pipe. An inelegant weapon for a less civilized age.
Oh no! D:
You forgot Rogal Dorn's Chainsword: Storm's Teeth. With each tooth having its own disruption field
I was about to comment the same thing bro 👍🏼👍🏼
Power-chains are weird considering each teeth has its own field so you have both a chain weapon that isn't rendering itself unusable each battle and an absolute maintenance nightmare when the day finally comes.
You forgot the Power Chair from the Angry Marines

Wdym 40k isnt about 40 types of Warhammers?

I really hope they add the Lightning Claw to SM2 so my Carcharodon can be complete.
Yes I want that too so I can have a badass deathwatch marine
The power axes are my favorite. Are there enough chain weapon variants to warrant another video like this? Would love it if there is.
My favorite power weapons are the crozius arcanums of the chaplains. The way that each crozius differs in design from one chaplain to another is a nice bit of individuality in the ranks of the Space Marines.
I always loved the lighting claws. Since there are different variations of it.
Why no one ever tried to put a power generator on a chainsword? Would the generator affect the chain mechanism?
I think some do, it’s just a case of it being to expensive to mass produce them like that. If I remember right the chain fist is an example of a chainsword with a power field. Just in a fist
Rogal Dorn had a power generator on his chainsword, so yeah it was done before but we only saw this with Dorn
@ don’t eviscerator chainswords have them as well? Or is that not a thing?
It does but that is a relatively weak power field compared to per say the power sword
It defeats the purpose of the chainsword being cheap,
Just the video I was hoping for. Also loved the Primarch one (even though I knew most of it already given how popular the topic is)
I have been waiting a while for another lore video
Can’t go wrong with the polearm
Thanks you for the truth of the weapons brother, I play Tacticus for 1 yrs now and love the Christmas gift! 🎁
May the emperor be with you!
I’m surprised that you didn’t talk about the Storm Shield and it’s abilities.

You can't go wrong with a good old warhammer (hince the name)
Anyone else want a Power Maul in Space Marine 2 after seeing the new episode of Space King?
power shovel
What about Storm Shields?
Sorry to stop your thunder, mauls are usually a blunt instrument. Axes were used to split wood.
