Watching this video made me cry a few times. I lost my sister (who was my best friend) 7 years ago from cancer. I was with her when she was diagnosed, took her to all of her treatments, and was there when she took her last breath. My husband is the only one to get me thru that. I lost my husband September of 2022. I love watching you guys because you remind me of us. I love you both. God bless you and your family.

I'm a psychiatric nurse and it fills my heart to hear you say there's no reason why you should not get medical help therapy or medication also you can buy weighted blankets which help with anxiety and panic attacks

Sometimes after treatment I get very sick and down and my hubby tries to make it better but I have to lay down and I turn your RUclips channel on. Your my port in my storm!! Even if I've seen them all I replay them because you bring a smile to my face and allow my body to just chill. The food you make really helps my budget because I only receive a small portion of my pay being on short term disability and helps with the stress of money. Forget the mean people, they don't hold a candle to you, YOU ARE AMAZING!!! LOVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!! THANK YOU FOR JUST BEING YOU 💜

I understand how death changes you. Both my boys were killed by drunk drivers. Junior was killed in Utah and James was killed in Florida almost exactly 4 years later. It broke me. Burying my children was the hardest thing I've ever done. I went through a 20 year depression. I got help and am doing better. The best help came from the Lord. He can heal anything! Keep doing what you do. You cheer up this old heart! Love you and Dusty and your boys!

Hey there, on homemade bread… okay, disclaimer, I’ve lived in Mexico for 2 years, so the prices may be different now.🙂 however, my bread recipe used to cost me $0.30 per loaf. I use the same one for dinner rolls, burger buns, cinnamon rolls, fry bread, and loaves. 3 c flour, 1T yeast, 1 t salt, 1/4c sugar, 1/4c oil, 1c warm water. Mix it and knead it and then let it rest for 15 mins, the knead it and form what you want and let it rest 15 mins, and then cook it for 20 mins for a loaf and 12-15 for all the others at 425. Easier than most, very cheap and extremely easy. Note: the more you knead it the better the texture.
When she said 7n cups of flour for one loaf of bread I wondered what kind of recipe she was using.
@@marybethsmith6458 I have one from my mama that takes 7-8 c. of flour. It makes 2-3 loaves or a whole lot of dinner rolls. It’s super yummy but takes 3 hours to complete and I don’t have that time! I figured maybe her recipe was for more than a loaf, or maybe since she doesn’t make it often she just didn’t know off the top of her head and made an guess. Either way, I hope my recipe will be a help. She certainly has helped inspire me in the kitchen!🙂

I have just recently found your channel, and I thoroughly enjoy watching you and your family. I am sorry there are mean people, but one of the things I try to never forget is that we, as human beings, tend to dwell on the one negative in our day instead of the 99 positives. In my older years (I'm almost 73), I diligently try to forget the negative and dwell on the positive. Just look at your beautiful family and your loving husband! That's the "bestest" positive ever.

Im a four-time cancer survivor but im disabled and handicapped. Your videos help me to be able to still plan n make my meals. I'm on a very special diet bc of all the cancer surgeries but I have to modify recipes in order to eat.
Re single folks, I love to freeze sandwich bags of either turkey, chicken or roast beef and the appropriate gravy. Then I seal the small bags into a large bag. These give me a good hot meal anytime i eant one by adding my carbs and fruit, veg.
I make up several different recipes, portion into baggies, then freeze one of each recipe into a vacuum sealed bags. Its like being in a diner!! ❤❤❤
It’s not weird to keep Dusty’s employment secret. You should do that about all you need to ensure y’all’s safety. If you don’t want to explain yourself then just say he is employed. You don’t need to explain anything to us. There are insane and evil people out there who could be trying to get info.

So I am learning how to cook properly with you - devastated that I am in the uk and every time you mention sausage gravy and biscuits my mind blows! Please make this dish from scratch and show us in the UK how it’s done x

I believe biscuits are made with ingredients readily available in the UK, and there are even some short cuts I think you guys can make in the UK as well, like 7-Up (any lemon-lime soda) biscuits, or Greek yogurt biscuits. So try a couple recipes based on the ingredients you may have available to you, and that you feel comfortable with. I'd be so excited for you to try it and share your results. I love all things UK but have never done a proper "British tea" and will be doing one this Saturday, May 6th with a friend. I've been debating about making scones, but think I may just cheat a little and buy them at a specialty shop. Hope you make the biscuits and gravy, and hope you enjoy them.

For your anxiety attacks; they sell weighted blankets for anxiety. They’re a little pricey (I think between $100-$200) but it sounds like they might work well for you, as Dusty putting pressure on you seems to help. The pressure calms your nervous system down and helps put your body into rest mode. ❤

The food pantry we volunteer at has no income requirements. We do not even check ID'S. If someone needs help they can pick up every week. I would love to give you a box for a family your size and have you make a meal plan and see how many meals you can get out of it. I think some fresh ideas with the staples we provide would be really helpful.

When I got tired of the same things, I would have my kids help with the menu. I made a menu for 12 days, because we got paid every 2 weeks. I then made my grocery list off the menu. Always shopped my pantry, and figured 2 of those days would be leftovers or maybe a pizza night. My kids loved mini pizzas that I made either from biscuit dough or English muffins because they could build their own. I love your family. Dusty is so supportive of you, and your boys are a joy.

Hey Brooke, stopping half way through to comment. You have to know with the growth of your channel, and almost 300 comments on your video in just a work shift's time slot, how loved you, your family and your channel are. Haters gonna hate no matter what, and that only reflects on them - it does not reflect on you. It's easy to tell someone to just let it go. When Dusty was describing how much you feel and wear your heart on your sleeve, it felt like he was describing me, so I know how easier said than done that can be. But seriously.... almost 35K subscribers, almost 300 messages in one shift. You bring goodness into this world, it's not your job to satisfy all, 100%. That's nobody's job. It's not going to happen. It's the hardest thing for me to accept when someone is judging me, doesn't like me. I'm in my mid 50s and still struggle with that one, being the people pleaser that I am. Since we're sharing personal stories, can I just say to me what you're doing is literally life saving. The pandemic was extremely difficult for me. I went through it very lonely, with little support during a health crisis and lots of family obligations. I did not watch RUclips prior, but found salvation in a few "select" friends. Your channel was found a bit later, but it's the one I gravitate to the most. It gets me through my very long and lonely days. I do not say this lightly as I do not express online my feelings/emotions or personal journeys. I feel a trust and an openness like no other with you. That is something to be very proud of. You are doing so much good.
My family getting to big for eating out every birthday but we make things homemade it so fun everyone brings a dish the parents provide the main dish. That what we did for my birthday we had homemade olive garden soup an salad bread sticks. It was so yummy.

It only took my husband's body heat(and I know that it was not pleasant for him) but he made the sacrifice for me because he lives me. So I know how you feel little sister. My husband and I had our son 25 years ago
I homeschooled him and he is now an IT tech.
We always wanted a large family but the Lords plan was we were to (biologically) have one child.
When our son was 14 , we became foster parents with our medically fragile certificates.
We fostered 6 children in 5 years that were all special needs.
We adopted 4 of those foster children that we received as very ill infants .
We are now raising 4 special needs children all with different food needs and preferences.
I look forward so much to your videos to help stretch out my family budget for 6

As far as bullies, i have had my share. You know what, turn that around and see it as the person showing where they need prayer! I have learned to just pity and pray for those bullies.
