    " And I tell him that I have tried. That I have tried to keep memory alive, that I have tried to fight those who would forget. Because if we forget, we are guilty, we are accomplices. And then I explain to him how naïve we were, that the world did know and remained silent. And that is why I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere.(Elie Wiesel)."

    '...wonderfully _spiritual, Rockefeller_ chapel'. No one else sees how fucked up that is I guess.
    Anyway, my favourite Wiesel quote...
    "We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented."

    Anyone who doubts or derides Prof. Wiesel is an enemy of humankind. Some of you really need to work on your pitiful English.

      Patrick Dempsey Why would the Auschwitz museum state that that the tattoo Elie Wiesel claims to have, A7713, actually belongs to another man?
      Why did Elie's friend Miklos Gruner not regonize him?
      Can Elie even speak Hungarian?

    • @Holocaustof6000000
      @Holocaustof6000000 10 лет назад

      Hardly credible while Elie has been giving his account for 60 years!

      @holocaustchampion9978 8 лет назад +1

      Bear River
      angry/hostile? yes but only because you exist he was the most beautiful and gentle soul I've ever come across he was always thinking of others even when he was dying he was always thinking of somebody else he was courage embodied
      besides you're filled with hate so you're not even worthy of mentioning his name or his beautiful soul
