Very nice video on the basic functionality of this instrument. I've bee a Dust user for a few years and have found it exceptionally useful for my kind of "productions". The unique interface and detailed control over the various parameters is (to me) the real strength of this granular tool. HOWEVER: In attempting to upgrade to the latest version, the plugin did not appear in my plugins folder within Ableton Live 11. The installation also apparently disabled the older version of Dust as well. Consequently, I am now unable to use Dust at all. This is probably a solvable problem, but Soundmorph has not responded to repeated requests for support or advice. I've contacted them three times and received only one automated response indicating how support requests "never gets lost in space" and how deeply they care about responding to requests for support. I've purchased a number of products from Soundmorph, but I'm completely mystified by their lack of support for this product.
What is the most practical use of this tool? I mean, it's cool for sound effects but doesn't seem to be very musical. Is it capable in an ambient music role?

The sounds are mapped to the grid. There a ton of musical applications for it. :) - JC
@@vvcv__00 Depends on what you mean by music but they make Dust and Wavewarp 2 which are both as much musical tools as any other granular instrument
