@@theberkeleyboss ahhh it's so difficult to choose, so I will give you two facts: - Recent studies proposed that Mercury was larger in its early history than it is today, suggesting that a large impact stripped off part of its outer rocky shell - following the solidification of its magma ocean, the only buoyant mineral could have been graphite, which would have floated to the top of the magma ocean and formed a pitch back primordial crust (if you think at the moon, plagioclase was the buoyant phase and this resulted in a plagioclase flotation crust, which you can see with your naked eye - bright regions on the Moon)
i cant even imagine the amount of time and preparation that goes into these videos. i’m always impressed how you’re able to make every video better than the last. you don’t see a lot of asmrtist do things like this and it’s just amazing what you do ❤
Effort you put into your vids is absurd. Learning about different topics and explaining/drawing them for an hour+ all the while doing ASMR def seems harder than it looks. Great :)
I think that the thing that makes the intro so good is the build up with the pen, not the pen itself, but the way that the whispering gets a boost off of it. For me it also makes the rest of the video more relaxing.
One of the very few creators on this platform I have notifications on for. Its always a great day when I get an ASMRctica alert about a new video, regardless of the topic!
This is my favorite one of your videos, and I watch them all but never comment. Really knock it out of the park here. Thanks for all the help getting to sleep
Wow Thank you so much for saying that! So happy to hear you like this one :D And so happy to hear that my videos help you sleep. Would love to see more comments from you hehe 😄
Im suprised ur not more popular honestly. Its amazing to see someone talk about something passionately. You def seem like u know what ur talking about. Love it
It's coincidence that I came across this video because my college class has been studying space and everything in it. This does include Mercury so yeah. I love your videos! Soft spoken, relaxing, and always make me have tingling sensations. I've been here for a long long time.
Almost 4 years then! 😅 Thanks for your patience. Yeah it's about time I made another space related video. Astronomy is so interesting! Hopefully you won't have to wait this long until the next one. Thanks for your support :)
excellent new video. been subscribed for a couple of years now and i rarely comment but i had to say thank you for these videos. one of the very best asmr channels - far better than the typical high subscriber asmr channels. my only feedback would be to produce more videos.
I saw this title and thumbnail and immediately gasped. I've been dreaming of you making a video like this, and I mean that literally. I fell asleep once listening to your Mars globe video (which is one of my favorites) and dreamt you did a video talking about the history of Mercury. The inner planets (Mercury and Venus) have been an obsession of mine for a few months now so you've made my dream come true at just the right time. I'd love to see more videos from you about planets and astronomy in the future. For now, though, I'm going to fall asleep to this one.
Well this is what a esson should look like, making learning interesting. ASMR on point, topics on point and the knowledge sharing...kudos man...keep up the awesome work
Fun fact: jupiter is the only outer planet that doesn't have rings. Secondly, despite being the closest planet to the sun, mercury is not the hottest planet. That honor goes to Venus, the 2nd planet in our solar system. 3rd fun astronomy fact: Mars doesn't have tectonic plate movement. This means that magma pockets below the surface can not move around, causing Mars to have a supervolcano called Olympus Mons that is 3x larger than Mt everest. Man astronomy class was so useful.
Will you later draw? - Venus - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn - Uranus - Neptune - The Sun - The Moon - Miscellaneous other bodies if you want. - Pluto - Comets
Ok this is weird, I’ve just been watching an asmr drawing and explaining video by - let’s find out - about mercury! It’s from a couple years ago and recommended from following you! ❤❤ wonderful
@@ASMRctica haha other way around, found him through your fans recommendations - cant get enough of your videos, I'm close to watching the entire backlog now, many of them many many many times!
I've watched this video a bunch of times and I never caught the sentence about ketchwa, my brother speaks that language due to his college doing study abroads down there, he's a professor there and he now teaches 2 classes the language.
@@ASMRctica yeah, that is so cool, I had never known that before, also, I love your pajama ramble audio recordings on Spotify, I've listened to them probably over 50 times, they're so genuine, thank you so much for responding and have a great day.
Hopefully this will become a series about all planets (+ Pluto). :-) --- Btw: The lunatics at @kurzgesagt want to dismantle Mercury to build a Dyson swarm!
Want to do some great ASMR? Try working with some scratch board. Would be great lulling sound, working with xacto knives scratching off material to make images. I worked with some in college back in the day.
Hey! It would had been good if you also added Mercury Symbol. If you ever draw another map with the planets. I would had loved to see the planets' symbols.
As a PhD student studying Mercury and this channel's aficionado, this is awesome! Thank you!!
Wow that's amazing! Glad you enjoy :D
What’s the most interesting fact about Mercury that you’ve learned in your research?

wonderful - could you perhaps do a solar system series working through all the planets? that would be cool!
