SCP 049 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Plague Doctor.
SCP-001 is an Apollyon Class anomaly also known as When Day Breaks.
SCP-049 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.9 meters in height, which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor.
SCP049 is capable of speech in a variety of languages, though tends to prefer English or medieval French.
SCP-049 will become hostile with individuals it sees as being affected by the Pestilence, often having to be restrained should it encounter such. If left unchecked, SCP-049 will generally attempt to kill any such individual; SCP-049 is capable of causing all biological functions of an organism to cease through direct skin contact.
SCP-001 is the designation given to the Sun, after an event occurred that resulted in roughly 6.8 billion casualties within the first twenty-four hours. Upon contact with visible light produced by SCP 001, living organisms liquefy at the point of contact, with the effect spreading until the entire organism is converted into a form resembling melted wax. Organisms exposed to SCP001 though, do not perish.

I love how 035 expects he is able to fit on a mask with a beak. There would be like no contact in the middle part, only the bottom of his mask touching the beak and the top touching the forehead.
This is the best SCP explained series. Prove me wrong.

"When Day Breaks" negates all anomalous properties of things that come into contact with the light. It might not melt the mask but it would render it unable to do anything.

No it negates the ability or organic anomalies. It's been proven that inorganic anomalies can survive fine and still use their abilities. I think. I remember watching quite s few episodes and scp 173 seem to have been fine.

It's a damn shame this series was never continued.
The plague doctor could've saved everyone in the last video with that special concoction he made that cause the flesh blobs to explode but instead he froze and let fernand die.
"Above all else, do no harm" is something SCP-049 _tries_ to echo, he'd swear off the idea of intentionally giving creatures, even _those things,_ ineffectual and fatal medicine. If he _did_ do that, he'd have betrayed himself as a doctor, and would likely quit trying altogether due to that.

I honestly don't think Lord Blackwood is really a seaslug. I think he was an already anomolous person that had something done to him that made the entire world perceive him as one so hard that he takes on the physical qualities of one to everyone/everything except himself.

The Doctor would help as many people as he could that’s for sure.
See everyone, that's exactly the reason why 035 would never destroy humanity: lack of host and distractions. One would get bored with eternal life after the apocalypse, I'm surprise he didn't offer to help find a cure for those same reasons.
I can imagine if the Plague Doctor splashed the SCP-035 flesh monster with that liquid which made one of the other flesh monsters explode, then they could have beaten it, and kept their hideout safe for the time being.
At the end, all I could think was, "the adventure continues".

Minor Theory. Could the pestilence be SCP-001 "When day breaks." Think about it, the entire sun can't just magically turn for the worst and perhaps its sentient and used the sun as a cover. Or it could be correlated to the Scarlet King who's coincidently also 001.
