Can you please do a ‘best settings for video’ for this camera. I appreciate how much effort is required to film these but they’re so much value. Thanks.
Hi,,this camera and housing worcks great,,,now with twoo Hybride Hf1 flashes... Do you have a video with settings for this combination ? Need help... Greetings Eddy😊
Hi Eddy, we don't have a video out for these settings quite yet. We are happy to walk you through the settings step-by step if you give us a call at 831-645-1082 or email us at sales@backscatter.com
As someone looking for the smallish system to do fisheye shots on a "budget" this system disappoints in that there's no focus ring for the Panasonic 8mm lens like Nauticam offers. The Olympus 8mm fisheye has its advantages but it's more expensive and requires a port extension for added bulk and cost.
Hi, as for using a focus ring for shooting wide angle, it is pretty rare these days since it is much easier to use single point autofocus, continuous autofocus tracking, or to lock your focus to infinity by focusing on your fins, which is a super common technique for video shooters. If you have more questions on focus techniques, shoot us an email at sales@backscatter.com and we'll be happy to help out.
Would this camera and housing be a good starter system for >40ft video, even without lights and lenses to start with? Also are there any concerns with regards to Olympus exiting the camera business?
This is a great starter system, but if video is your main goal you'll want to stay shallower than 40ft. Olympus didn't exit the camera business, they just sold their imaging division, and everything we've seen from them since then has been absolutely great.
I had two Z330 inon strobes... how work with led triggering? It will be s-ttl compatible? (in Inon website says are "not compatible with RC flash mode)...
Hi, we used an AOI DLP-06 acrylic 4" dome port. This is also available in glass as the DLP-05. Feel free to email us at sales@backscatter.com if you have any questions on which dome will best suit your needs.
it's absolutely perfect... I can't wait to get it... gonna pair it with dual 6000 Kraken RGBU video lights... ahhhh can't wait

Thank you for your video. I think it's a very interesting option.

@@backscatteruw Thanks for the fin-tip!
Would your recommend this for snorkelling? I have shot with the TG-6 and love it but am looking for a touch more quality.
Absolutely. This is just what you've been looking for.

Which F-Stop for 8mm fisheye you use for shooting in term of all image sharper
It depends on the scene, but generally you want to shoot at F8 or higher

Your strobes will be compatible in manual mode only. There will be no S-TTL on the strobes, and the camera will not be able to use RC mode.
@@backscatteruw tnx.. bad news for me..
Thank you. This is what I am looking for. Does the older model camera fit the housing? The model III ?
No, the housing is just for the MK IV
What is the dome port you used for 8 mm fish eye ?
AOI 4" PEN-ports, glass or acrylic. Configure it on their website by clicking the housing and choosing lens and you'll see the options.
