In the section where you talk about the scourgerunners you mention they are getting nerfed. Is there anywhere I can look up the unit balancing changes in that Update, because the current beta patchnotes on their official website (assuming you were talking about the "King's Shilling" update) don't actually have a unit balancing section and mostly talk about bugfixes and campaign changes.

What about bloated wagon? Wagon filled with exlosives which you charge into enemy and explode.
More shots than a war wagon can fire! (Which isn't saying much)
That charge is fairly strong against light troops. Basically Empire chariots.The missile damage is just for when you are chasing missile units. Also they have an unusually high rate of routing the enemy because they are shooting the entire time.

Actually the War wagon is a decent chariot. if you ignore it's ranged attack, it's very big and has a lot of mass.

@@karlfranzemperorofmandefil5547 their charge sucks, pretty much any unit that is not formed in line can easily stop them and any kind of cavalry is able to catch them. Hell, even some infantry is able to keep up. Oh yeah, they also can be outgunned by missile unit that is not scavenslave slingers.

I remember back in 2000', when the tabletop game 'Mordheim' was released by GW. We used to play it somewhat competitively at my local store, and eventually.. someone figured out cheap Skaven units with mass slings was *really* effective.

For a game that has so much crunch it has a huge achilles heel with cheese. Honestly the roleplay of using specific units should have been looked at more than their statlines.
Oh Tabletop Mordheim and my Warband with 6 Skaven slingers :D if i remember correctly Skaven warbands could have 12 members others less.
@@jimmykungberg308 I think it was 20 for Skaven. Most others were 15. Races that were added in White Dwarf had lower limits, like Dwarves and Elves. You can download the PDF for the original Mordheim rulebook for free!

It's literally one of the best strategy games of all time. I've been a massive Warhammer fan since the 80's. With Age of Shitmar this is my GW fix now, played 1680+ hours and haven't played multiplayer once. Can't wait for Total War Warhammer 3!
Has my first spot for best strategy game. Passed even my nostalgia from 2000's. I love Warhammer so it feels like a dream come true...

Sigmar is a much better game (for me anyway). However I also think TWW2 is better than fantasy, so it's like the best timeline for me haha

It’s ironic that Turin made a video of the worst unit of each faction and the TK unit was the Doomba.
I never get to see all these cool animations because on the battlefield I want to zoom out. So watching these videos are awesome.

I have to say, i really don't play or follow multiplayer that much, but your videos are really fun to watch.
And it's also interesting to see what changes when talking about campaign or MP (Most obvious example are probably the Skavenslaves Slingers, they don't see much use in campaign outside of garrisons, while stuff like Blorks and Casket of Souls are a staple in my endgame campaign armies)

The Skavenslaves remind me of the slingers from Stronghold Crusader. Individually not very strong but extremely cheap and quick to recruit and once you have some actual numbers, they can melt elite units and fodder equally.
Yeah I did used the slinger mass quite often in an offensive siege in SH. Bows and crossbows just ain‘t really cuttin‘ it for their price (yet crossbows were definitely by far the best defensive choice)
@@Schwachsinnn i always used to spam horse archers till i had atleast 100, then surround the enemy keep till everything inside is dead, then send in 10-15 ninjas to take out the leader
@@everythinggamingnow I tried this too, but really when you group so many horse archers they aren`t as efficient. I mean the ai still manages to hit them, even when you move them around to avoiad arrows, just due to how big of a target such group is. Buying 700 slingers for the same money just seems to me more efficient (especially when the enemy has crossbows and balistas)
I actually tested it and yeah, first Norsca and then Chaos received so many rocks to their face they fled in shame the battlefield.

The Star Dragon and Trollhammers surprised me the most. I was thinking Sisters and Thunderers, but I can see how the dragon and drakes are things the opponent has to counter more out of their way compared to my assumptions.

I do like his style as well, not a lot of nerds try for the sports commentator idioms and phrases but this guy does it well. It's a nice change of pace from the usual dry summaries and hour long analyses.

I didn't know bonus versus large/infantry also applied to the melee stats and not only the weapon strentgh. The anti large bonus of 30 on shaggoth seemed very insignificant compared to its very high weapon strentgh but now I get the point.
Ever think of doing multiplayer guides for each faction? Or multiplayer overviews for each individual legendary lord? I think it could be pretty popular and fun to watch

Random question, but how do you guys think DLC content from this game will transfer into TWW 3? Will all the factions/sub factions that were included as DLC such as Ikit Claw, Vampire Coast, etc. be included in the next game right off the bat or will they be DLC again? I’ve never played Total War games so I wonder if they have a formula when it comes to that, since this second game already had more factions than the first one without counting the DLC.
yes any content that you own in game 1 and game 2 will carry over to game 3. its all connected

I just absolutely love Black Orcs. There’s something appealingly pure about elite infantry whose elite-ness is based in just sheer brute power and a mean streak a mile wide.
Thats why i love warriors of chaos
It's a pity orcs feel Underpowered in campaign and too dependant on black orcs. In mp they are awesome, but in campaign they lack punch for a faction based on punching

Black orcs are just so thematic for warhammer too.
They're the space marine of original warhammer. You look at any warhammer games released and a few of them will have black orcs as a major threat at some point.

Would it be possible to evaluate more on the Price of units in multiplayer. I think this is a massively overlooked statistic in terms of unit effectiveness and I think a lot of people would be appreciative of a more in depth analysis.
For example, average gold cost of light/heavy infantry/cavalry and how that unit matches up against its peers.

Im playing a coop campaign with a friend, as bordeleaux and carcassonne. He is a little eccentric in his playstyle and will have very strange army comps. Since we started playing 80 turns ago, he's got now 6 lvl9 peasant units in his legendary lord's army. They have yet to be defeated. It has become kind of a meme in our campaign, and he will try his utmost to keep them alive. Peasants ftw!

I agree with the skavenslaves , though I am not a skaven player...I have won countless battles as green skins where I used goblins to absorb the charge and rather than the orc Boyz this gave a pretty decent edge.

I agree with Skaven pick. Swarm the enemy yes yes. I always have a strong army, and then 1-2 armies of skavenslave slingers. Theyre amazing

Throw a crap ton of rocks and add a bit of wither, and you have an extremely efficient unit that can do way more than it's pay grade but also means nothing when it dies.
list that no one has done I don't think, is which LL is worth beating in campaign because of the character benefit you from beating them. like Isabella gives your Lord regen.
I think the skavenslaves are a good pick. If you've ever seen Legend of TotalWar's list of WORST units, he makes the good argument that clanrats are garbage BECAUSE skavenslaves are just a better pick. He didn't really specify which skavenslave unit is the best, but I'd say having a unit that can engage without taking damage is the best option for the price. Just think about it, have your one elite army of Skaven equipped with all the best dakka, then just have it followed around by 3-4 other armies of just skavenslaves. And if the army gets caught out and wiped, who cares? Just spawn in another one and keep on truckin'.
Edit: If CA could do one thing to make the skavenslaves more lore flavored, it'd be cool if there were other races mixed in other than just skaven. Sure, MOST of the unit would be skaven, but having a human or dwarf or lizard dotted in there would just make them kind of cooler. The skaven do enslave EVERYTHING after all. It'd make sense that some nonskaven slaves would be forced to fight and be slaughtered for the Under Empire.

Were the basic Marauders a contender for Norsca? I feel like they are the one truly reliable unit for them, pretty much regardless of opposition, but I'm uncertain as to their value right now.
they are quite good. could argue they're on the shortlist, i personally wouldnt put them as the top dog for Norsca though
Are the high elven swordmasters good in multiplayer? They are my favourite unit lore and aestetic wise but I feel like they always get killed by magic, missiles and monsters before they can really start slaughtering some infantry. Are they not worth the points or am I doing something wrong?
they are niche but can be very good in the right situation. far from an autoinclude. yes they can get demolished by magic or artillery. but in their role as anti-infantry, armor piercing blenders, they are the strongest amongst great weapon units. They are good vs. Chaos, good vs. Dwarfs, can be good vs. Greenskins, and can be good vs. really any heavily armored faction that wants to invest in infantry play. They are bad against factions that like to spread the field and kite, so usually a no go against Empire, Wood Elves, and the like.

I'm confused. Your previous video about the patch notes for WH2 talked and showed that the chevron issue in battle was fixed. But in this video you commented that the bug still existed (you made the comment at 27:15. Can you clarify please?
The chevron bug has been fixed, but only in the beta patch, which does not have quick battles. If you are playing quick battles, you are on the live version, which still has the bug.
yeah the patch that fixes the chevron bug is currently in beta, but it wont go live for at least a little while. sometimes these patches are in beta for close to a month, or more. so could be awhile. current version of the game still has the chevron bug
How does the beta patch affect the scourge-runners' ranking? Or is it too soon to tell?
Dark Riders repeater crossbows have a good chance of taking the top spot once Scourgerunner nerf goes into full effect. Dark rider repeater xbows have always been really good
but I've not played on the beta patch, and even if i had, yeah its probably too early to know. i just know the other DE units that are knocking on the door for the top spot
I really hope the greenskin update adds black orc variants don't get me wrong the axes are cool but a little variety would certainly freshen things up

honstly the best dwarf unit is miners with blasting charges. which match you dont see them. its almost imposseble for them to not trade upward.
High elfeves best unit i would say ellyrian reaver archers. good missle damage and still usefull in melee as light cav with a cheap price.
I do agree with the chameleon skinks for the lizards but you dont see them to mutch in online MP to mutch if you compair it to things like salamanders while they are beter vs other missle units and even strong debuffing strong units cause their poison.
would still give the price for the skaven for the granade launchers. they are a pain in the ass to kill with artillery, infantry and even cav can struggle cause skaven numbers. and they can do alot of damage.
vampire coast i would say its a tie with the polearms and the doggo's. the scuvy dogs are also as important for vampirates.
vampire counts not really having great anti large options comes from a time when it wasnt needed as mutch cuase there weren't really single large units except for lords, giants and the sheogath. so might not be bad to give the vampire count a grave guard with halberds or another mid tier unit to deal with large units other then the top tier dragon to deal with it.
waywatchers being nerfed after nerf is kinda sad. would like to see their elite infantry get more a buff. cuase they are already easily punished as it it but maybe a bit more reward for risky moves is what they can use. and give us a 500-600 gold cav units plz CA WE needs them :'(.
What is "Calibration Area" ? Ive seen it in patch notes and you mentioned it for waywatchers, but i cant find an explanation anywhere.
Its the size of the area where shots can land. The smaller the calibration area, the less likely a unit is to overshoot or undershoot the target. IE more missiles hit, better accuracy, more damage

I guess thats also part of the problem that some very high tier archers hit the same few models and therefore dont always get their full damage potential out.
yeah not so sure if thats a calibration issue or a targeting issue. artillery does the same thing, where multiple cannons shoot at the same unit, so the follow up shots miss cuz theres a big hole where the first explosion hit

I can just imagine the look on a Star Dragon having to stand next to a Skavenslave and a Zombie Deckhand when receiving the "Best unit in Multiplayer award".
as odd as it sounds, my favourite unit for the vampire counts, is the humble skeleton warriors, as bad as they are, once fully upgraded, theyre free upkeep, so the only thing you pay for int he army is the lord, and their lack of routing means you can literally throw bodies at the enemy until they break or die, ive had numerous battles in my current campaign that have devolved into sending thousands of skeletons to their deaths, 8.5k skeletons dead, to kill 2k dwarves, but it was fine, i still had 4k more skeletons left, not including the 6 more armies with 3k skeletons in each elsewhere on the map, barely had sylvania, zhufbar and stirland at the time, none of which were fully upgraded!
Trollhammer torpedo are so strong that they can be a viable doomstack. I mean legendoftotalwar made a video on that and an army of 5-6 engineers and 13 of those guys MURDERED 2, high tiers high-elves armies. The dawi suffered very little casualty while they obliterate dragon princess, sword master, phoenix guards, phoenix and even dragons within seconds. It was utterly hilarious to watch.
