you forgot the most important one and the most common photographic error I see with iPhones shooters: wipe the lens clean before you take a photo! it will make things sharper and clearer and people will be blown away how good your photos look!
+Tom's Test Kitchen Yes, absolutely use landscape when shooting video. There's nothing more annoying that watching vertical video when pretty much every monitor you can watch video on is horizontal. With photos, however, use whichever orientation you want. No rules with still photos on that. There's a reason they call it portrait mode.
Tom's Test Kitchen you're so right. I don't get why people shoot in portrait, it ruins photos and videos. but I guess people have their own preferences.
If you're taking a picture in a situation where you're concerned about getting a blurry photo from camera movement (e.g. low light), press _and hold_ the shutter button. The iPhone will take multiple pics as long as you hold the shutter, and select the sharpest one.
Thank you! great tips on getting better shots with your iPhone. I would also add, when you're shooting in darker situations, like in doors, of people, take several shots in a row, in order to make sure you get a shot with everybody's eyes open. The longer shutter effect, sometimes, makes the subject blink.
if you want to take macro pictures... - zoom with the scaler to about 50% and then frame up your subject ... try without & you'll see that images are warped .. with this method it gets rid of the warp and flattens out the subject without much effect on the resolution :)
if your phone doesnt have portrait mode, download picsart. Theres a blur option in the effects tab, and you in the erase settings of that you can make it so the focus of the image (you) isnt blurred, while the rest is. You can also choose how blurry the background is, and remove blur from objects other than yourself. thats what i do
Great tips! EVERYONE should use these - NO digital zoom, NO flash. Immediately your photos will be 100% better. The only other one I would mention is ensure you shoot in landscape (long horizontal) with the lens at the top.
Also if you have an iPhone, record in slo-mo and press the little photo button on the bottom (left or right idrk) side of your screen. Not only will you get photos, you will also get a video :))
Really all the original iPhone products are best but i repeatedly try to transfer files from other branded mobile phones to iPhone 7s....so please how can i configure the system...thanks
You forgot. Use the volume key to snap photos. You grasp the phone tighter that way. (Less shaky photos) Also, hold down the shutter to take more photos per second. Perfect if you snap pics of toddlers all day long like me and my wife. (No more blurry kid pictures)
The iPhone 6plus still sucks when it comes to taking pics even after I did what you said. Try taking photos of butterflies in your flower garden in the sunlight. If you can't zoom then you can't make out the butterfly because it's too far away. And you can forget getting closer to some of them to get good photos. I've seen some beautiful photos of butterflies posted on FB. Mine are still blurry and faded looking. Not clear and professional looking like theirs. I'm very disappointed in my phone when it comes to taking photos. I've had an iPhone since they came out but I may consider changing from an iPhone next time.
All of those tips worked cause my mom was always mad at me cause I never took a good foto but your tips made her happy even though I had to pause every tip to show her and take selfies to see if see likes it

Wow. Wish I'd watched this before I got my Nikon D3300! I wasn't loving my photos with my iPhone but most of these I didn't even know about, except HDR.
Shooting Panoramas: 1. If you want to turn in the opposite direction while shooting (right to left), click the arrow first & it will change directions. 2. Instead of hitting the button again to finish a panorama, just start to turn your phone the other way.
Help please. Being techno-challenged, my iPhone is telling me it has no more storage to take pictures of my grandson !! I have sent some to the cloud and it says there is room available but it wont. I am sure I am unaware of something simple. Thanks lots.
I do have my iPhone and I truly enjoy it this is my second one I have an I phone 6+ and I did learn a lot a lot that I didn't know about the phone could you see sometimes I still get A afraid of me messing up something what you taught me a lot thanks for the video see you in the next picture
I know another one. If you have an iPhone that doesnt have portrait mode in the subject or person you click it until it says AF/AE LOCK then you will have portrait mode
I did a comparison, iPhone 6s cam better than Samsung galaxy s7 cam because the iPhone cam revealed dirt spots on my friends pants but the Samsung cam made the pants look clear and bright which they weren't.

Also, use another iPhone's flash to better illuminate your subject when taking a picture in a dark room (like a club).

Great tips. You can do so much with an iPhone now, which means no more lugging around heavy SLR cameras when they aren't needed.

To take a picture of an up close item, as well as blur the background, put it on portrait mode so it will do the work for you!
if you want to take macro pictures... - zoom with the scaler to about 50% and then frame up your subject ... try without & you'll see that images are warped .. with this method it gets rid of the warp and flattens out the subject without much effect on the resolution :)

Is there any portrait mode availabe in this i phone which is used in ur video
IT Booster iPhone 7 and after all have portrait. He has an iPhone 6 so no
iPhone 8 or higher has that function
if your phone doesnt have portrait mode, download picsart. cream cheese 😂 i am photoshop master, also picsart, but this is too long process,
Thanks, but sinds a couple days ago, Snapchat got that function now too👏🏽
This is one of the better and simple videos about photography I've seen. No crap, just helpful information. Nice job!
Great tips! EVERYONE should use these - NO digital zoom, NO flash. Immediately your photos will be 100% better. The only other one I would mention is ensure you shoot in landscape (long horizontal) with the lens at the top.
As a glasses wearer i would suggest cleaning the lens (you can use a glasses wipe and spray)
Also if you have an iPhone, record in slo-mo and press the little photo button on the bottom (left or right idrk) side of your screen. Not only will you get photos, you will also get a video :))
tip: when at plays, recitals, etc. you can focus using the yellow box, and move you phone up and down for different exposures
annie visnaw ok
I tip, light is key to good pictures :) If ur picture is to dark, plz don`t turn up the brightness, unless if you don`t have any extra light to use ;)
Enjoyed the video. Will love to know how to edit pictures using the Iphone without an external app.
Really all the original iPhone products are best but i repeatedly try to transfer files from other branded mobile phones to iPhone 7s....so please how can i configure the system...thanks

Robert Rojas agree with this!!! I always do this before I take a pic
Which iPhone are u using?
❤🙏
Explore different photography apps. I found several that let you chose your ISO, do manual focus, and even take long exposure photos.
Why am i even watching this when i have android !
Use other camera app like camera+ so we can manually operate the iso, shutter speed, and even white balance, but the most useful feature is slow speed.

If you want a object to really pop ALWAYS TOUCH TO FOCOUS. It really helps don't be scared to use it its there for a reason
Learn to use the volume up button as your shutter instead of the round button on the touch screen.

I did a comparison, iPhone 6s cam better than Samsung galaxy s7 cam because the iPhone cam revealed dirt spots on my friends pants but the Samsung cam made the pants look clear and bright which they weren't.
what is better IPhone 6S or Samsung Galaxy s6
+Hashem Ejaz You ask that on a Macrumors video of how to take better pictures with your iPhone...
They both have their strengths and weaknesses but in the end they are about even.
+Hashem Ejaz Depends on what you want in a phone
+Hashem Ejaz if you are talking about the cameras, there are pros and cons on both.
for simple example, details are better on S6, but dynamic range on the iPhone is really really good and it's night and day if you compare it to S6.
where as difference in details is not as dramatic, and in my opinion not worth it to trade with.
+Hashem Ejaz Xperia Z5 beat any other smartphone (photography wise) at the moment.
Does this apply to my 13 pro max
how about a front cam ?
The flash doesn't always ruin a picture many of my photos of random little objects looked great with flash
are HDR photos heavier then NON HDR?
