Amazing video a always!! You are so calming, creative and inspiring!! You also inspired me to vegan, so thank you so much!! By the way your videos explaining coffee and sugar were very helpful so I was wondering if you could perhaps do a similar video discussing soy?? I’ve always been surrounded by conflicted opinions on it, so an explanatory video would be very informative. But anyways, wonderful video, thanks for the awesome tips!!
Love you Sadia!! I would love to see more minimalist/ house cleanliness and organization videos!! Also Tea time Tuesday I would love to hear one on romantic relationships and advice you personally have learned from your relationship with Robin if that's okay with you... You're the best! :)
"I'm so sorry little planty" Sigh, Sadia. My sister always laught at me for talking and apologising to my plants. Some people just don't understand us haha
Sadia, I saw this video within the first hour of it posting on RUclips. I saw your message that it didn't get a lot of views. So I am here watching it again. This advice is not applicable to only foods but any other objects as well. Thanks so much for the layering advice. I never noticed the difference until you pointed it out. Thanks so much, Sadia!
I honestly am super happy I found this channel a while ago because as a meat eater I slowly started gravitating towards your dishes because it showed a world of creativity without mimicking meat dishes. As I prepare my mind for the diet changes I need to do after my gallbladder removal surgery next month, your site is full of encouragement and gives me hope that I'll be fine eating differently. Thank you
I feel like you've revealed your secrets to us. ;) Amazing work, Sadia. We can see so much love and effort being poured into your videos and your website.
Your are such an inspiration. I like the fact how much learning you put into everyday. Your energy, detailing and enthusiasm are amazing. The part of the video where you explained about senses is the best! There are a lot of videos of yours that made me what work hard and better myself.
i don’t know if there are any non vegans or vegetarians that follow this channel. i’m not vegan (and don’t plan to become one) BUT i do want to appreciate vegetables more and eat more of them. maybe have vegetarian and vegan days where i eat clean and go from there. i’m just drawn to Sadia. she has such a soft, soothing voice and such a calming nature. she feels like someone who could calm you down or make you feel content with just her presence alone.
Absolutely! I am not vegan/vegetarian, but I love the veggies and sauces! I don't feel bad if I sometimes add chicken to a veggie packed tasty meal! And yes, how can you not be drawn to her! She's awesome!!!
@@amystieg1620 I feel the same way. Self-righteous people always tell me to stop eating animals, but its in my chinese heritage and I love it. My mom would often buy some dog bones in China for broth, and it makes the best bone marrow broth. I really can’t recommend it enough. Its harder to come by in North America but you can often find some in specialty chinese stores.
I'm not either, but it's a go-to option for me because I don't have to think about whether dairy is in the recipes along with the points Lia⬆️ mentioned.
Food photography has been such a hobby of mine, and I always have had Sadia as my inspiration. Thank you so much for this video! It brought a smile to my face...
I've been doing food photography for a while and this is such a helpful overview of styling and natural lighting techniques. Styling is a lot harder than it looks and it can feel very clinical in books and tutorials. Your warm and friendly approach to the lesson might help the photographer to feel freer to work instinctively and in the moment. A solid understanding of composition is essential, but I think once we have that it's important to go with the flow and this joy will be reflected in the picture rather than spotting the geometry first, for example.
omg! Never expected a technical topic like this would interest me so much and reason being you Sadia , so poetic and pleasant. You are a gorgeous soul. Big fan :)
I saw this come up and I was like "I'm not really interested in taking food photos" so I thought I'd skip it but I'm glad I watched it anyway! Lots of good practical tips. And a beautiful video as always ❤️
This video should be shared in photography & videography classes. Not only are the photography tips helpful, but this entire video is shot and edited soooo well.
Ohhhh my godd... I have just started food business with my 2 elder sisters and this is exactly what I needed ... You read my mind Sadia..❤️ more power to you....
The absolutely perfect combination of the colors, the senses, the plants, the (amazing) music, and your voice just make me want to cry!! I just can't get bored of playing and replaying the PUL videos. Thank you!!!
As a photographer but not a food photographer, there were really helpful! You didn’t went over the photo specs which everyone else does. You go into the food niche and give some really helpfull tips like the textures etc!!
That's such good advice and just in time! I've recently started a food page and I've been working on improving my photos (buying props, arranging the setting, etc.) It's lots of fun, but I've also accepted the fact that better photos and spending time trying out different angles mean eating lots of cold dishes afterwards 😂
Thanks for sharing all the tips! You are just... amazing person. Love your personality and your love toward what you create. Sending lots of love from Japan♥
I feel like a lot of successful people might be unwilling to share their “secrets,” but you’ve done exactly that. It once again shows what a beautiful and generous soul you are, in addition to being multi-talented! PS thanks for the encouragement to watch this...you released it during our insanely crazy Texas weather last week and we had no internet. Otherwise I wouldn’t have missed it. 💗
I am in love with your plants, the way you hang them down here and there...this is just a dream place to visit for me! I tried to recreate your pothos backdrop in my kitchen too, nowhere near yours but still one of the favourite places in my home. Please do let us know how you care about your hanging plants, they are so healthy and long!!
Really great pointers. Works well with even general photography. Senses is something that's so interesting to work with. Love the info on lights as well. Thanks for this! :)
Ok, not relevant but you are glowing more and more in each video!!! Your aesthetic has always been one of my favorites and I've definitely incorporated more plant based recipes because of you!
I watched this because you asked me to (and i enjoy your channel/business so always happy to support) BUT then I genuinely enjoyed the video and actually got a fair amount out of it. Beautifully done and your photos are always so aesthetically pleasing. Plus food.
Have been your subscriber since 2017, and you are my favorite till now! The way you present your food, the way you talk, your incredibly comforting and delicious foods, and everything you post in your channel is just very inspiring and soothing as well :) Sending tons of love from India!
I'm here from the community post and the RUclips algorithm might now agree that this video was right for me but it is 100% right for me right now! I'm started to enjoy my camera and get into food art 🎨
Hi Sadia, Just wanted to pop on here and say that I've always hoped that you would talk about photography tips! Your photos are continuously stunning! It would be so wonderful if you incorporated a little photography "series" in your content 😊
So many things I don't even think about but that make all the difference in making your dishes so appealing! Thank you for sharing this valuable knowledge. It's exciting to learn a usual subject of yours- this being food- from the perspective photography, that you master also so well.
Love the amazing positive vibes you "layer around" you when u talk n smile.... Thanks a lot for being natural n sharing with us nature in its purest form. Keep it up Sadia! 😉
Nadia, your channel is honestly the only one that I look out for new videos on. They just feel so positive. Thank you. Can you put out more content though?
Your tips are amazing, so is your photography. Also so glad you partnered with Audible they are seriously addictive I have listened to 57 books since 2019 =) Recommend the 'China Study' to start off with. So inspiering.
Lovely Sadia, you are really doing it all! Every day I get more and more impressed. I must say that I turned into a loyal fan of you and your blog and I even bought your e-cookbook yesterday, which I until now never did for any other food blogger. Seriously, Pick Up Limes is my daily medicine and comfort show. Whenever I feel down or bored, I just go to RUclips or to your blog to check out if there's anything new there or if I can reread or rewatch any article or video, and subsequently, I immediately feel better. Not to mention that you inspired me to be more healthy physically and mentally. I just wanted to thank you, and your team, for all of this. And even if this video didn't get so many views as your other videos, you should know that there are fans out of there that are feeling delighted and lucky that you posted it.
as a relatively new food channel this video couldn’t have come at a better time. i have been watching your videos for so long and always admired the quality of your videos. these tips are sure to help and thank so much for creating yet another beautiful video!
This is the first video that I am watching of yours and I absolutely love the simplicity of the content. I am not a photographer. I have no experience whatsoever and I still feel that I can take on and try using your tips to do my photographs, so thank you so much. I especially love the Audible edit. I think it’s great that you are in a way, promoting reading books or reading in any manner for that matter, so good to know you PUL. God bless
Thank You for making the information so easy to understand. I have watched so many photography video as a beginner just starting and 9/10 times it is too technical and I get lost. Also my mouth was watering looking at all the beautiful food.
Thank you for the community post! I've gotten notifications for the past half dozen or so of your videos but not this one :( I LOVE the photos you take -- they're really what "sells" the recipe(:
You have really inspired me to go vegan a few weeks ago.. And now I'm having so much fun creating all sorts of meals with the variety a vegan lifestyle offers. I create awesome stuff and LOVE taking photos, so this video has helped me even more!! Thank you Sadia, much love from Texas! :)
*Another video filled with love, hard work, sense of detail, good taste, delicacy, and also, terrific background music... have said it before, these are just pure perfection... 😌
Congratulations on four years!!! I LOVE your recipe videos but also miss the ones on health and wellness! Which was why I found you years ago! Are those coming back some day? Either way I’m here, all your content is amazing!!!! 😍😍😍
Sadia, I read your post about not getting enough hits on this current video after only one day. Don’t forget there was a time when almost 100,000 views in a day was amazing.
Sadia.. I absolutely love love love your content. Love watching your videos whenever I have some freetime, they are so soothing. I am a newbie to food photography and love how you explained the details with such simplicity. You are an inspiration. Cannot wait for your next video. Lots of love xoxo
thank you sadia. You define excellence. Everything you do is perfect: the way you talk, the way you shoot, the videos you create. I'm in awe of you. I hope you read this!
I watched this video because I love PUL videos but I didn't think I was particularly interested in the topic. But you made it SO interesting! I love the simple tweaks you add which have such a big impact. I've sent it on to all my food photo loving friends 😃 x
I love to cook and I love to take pics of what I cook. Not for any social media but for myself and my family. But whatever I click looks like something the cat dragged in😝 so thank you for this !!
Sadia, your generosity in all you do is so beautiful, thank you so much for sharing these tips and also the music link, I've been looking for music for soooo long and here I have it! Thank you and much love to you all, can't wait to see the new website!
i cook new dishes every day and bake on the weekends and i'm quite proud of them. my kids have encouraged me to start posting the pictures on insta instead of just sending the pics to them. food photography is so fun but i catch myself styling for so long and taking so many pics that the food gets cold before we eat! :) thanks for these great tips! xo
I'm with you there, Jody! Haha eating cold food is the eternal struggle for food stylists (and their partners and family 😜). Sometimes we even let the food intentionally get cold before we style so that garnishes don't wilt 😂
Hey, I really hope you see my comment! I LOVE your videos, I am a young girl and you are such a big inspiration for me, your voice is very soothing btw!!!
Seeing your videos I got to know that I am interested in food photography...and then now you posting this video..it means the world to me ...thank you ..thank you so very much ..I feel so blessed today ,thank you so much♥️
Re: your comment about the algorithm... I have noticed lately that several of my fave youtubers have been changing up their content a little bit, and I've also noticed that since implementing changes their content isn't showing up in my subscription feed (I know I could get notifications but I can't handle too much distraction!) Anyway its just my personal anecdotal experience, but maybe there is something to it in terms of a larger trend. Love your videos... hate the algorithm... Hope things get back to normal for you! :)
Hey D Swan, thanks so much for the lovely comment. I think you’re onto something. I think if it’s different than the usual content, it doesn’t come up as suggested, but who ever really knows what the algorithm is up to 😅 anyhow thanks so much for being here with us! 🤗
I’m a new cooking Channel, so I truly appreciate all these helpful tips and tricks. So many things to consider! You are extremely talented!! Glad I found your channel!!
Plant tour of your living space and their care, light requirements and recommendations would be delightful! Bet that video would get a plethora of views! 🌱
Thank you so much. Food photography and nature photography are my 2 favorite subjects to shoot. My Instagram food is good but with your tips, I see where I can really grow. You taught me a lot and I appreciate you. Thank you. I hope you all stay healthy and safe. 💚💚💚

Sadia, you make my day better with your videos. Getting creative with your own personality is lovely.
I’m a new cooking Channel, so I truly appreciate all these helpful tips and tricks. So many things to consider! You are extremely talented!! Glad I found your channel!!
Great lessons!
Plant tour of your living space and their care, light requirements and recommendations would be delightful! Bet that video would get a plethora of views! 🌱
Great, now I'm hungry. It's so bad that photos don't feed us, they look amazing.
Thank you so much. Food photography and nature photography are my 2 favorite subjects to shoot. My Instagram food is good but with your tips, I see where I can really grow. You taught me a lot and I appreciate you. Thank you. I hope you all stay healthy and safe. 💚💚💚
