You are absolutely right, 2 years ago I tried to learn this song but couldn’t get the rhythm right and gave up, now after practicing a bunch of other songs and watching this video I’m already almost playing at full speed after about 3 hours

I've been working on this riff for years! I'm getting pretty close to getting it to speed. It's that last little run that is hanging me up.

18:34 It would be easier to play D# (Eb) on the 5th string 6th fret than the same note on 4th string 1st fret

@Marty Music @5:33 the pinch harmonics you pluck the A string and bend the E for the pinch. I can only make the pinch sound from bending the A and plucking the A. Then on the second pinch I pluck the E and pinch bend the E. I just can't see in the video how you accomplish this. Doesn't make sense.

I can’t for the life of me figure out the best picking technique to play the song. Down picking most of the palm mutes feels the most intuitive but I don’t think I could ever down pick this at full

I prefer 0D-0D-0D 6A-5A-3A 0D-0D-0D 3d-5A-6A. I find it easier.
i’m a fairly new guitarist, think i’ve been playing for around 8 months. I learned the first riff/intro riff and can only get it to maybe 85% speed at max.. any tips for playing the riff without error
