Thankfully the amazing scenery and wonderful people of Nepal more than compensate for the terrifying drives or the flight into Lukla. Pokhara is also a nice staging post before going back to Kathmandu. A sunset trip out to the island on the lake there is well worth it or a hike up to the peace pagoda. Not to mention the coffee and cake at the Himalayan Java overlooking the lake. Great series of videos that shows the true trekking experience.
As a young teenager I randomly found your channel and it became one of my favorites... at 18 I started traveling partially because of people like you. I'm now living full time in my rv and traveling the states. Thank you so much for all the work you put into your videos. Anyway, it was so cool to see one of your videos and be able to say "I've been there!"
The background in that "messy" shot looked super good to me. Maybe a little less boat on the edges of the frame would have made the image better BUT still pokhara never ever disappoints.
My brother suggested this vdo. He is in Arab earning money. He said that your vdos made him miss his family and country so much. Thank you very much for visiting Nepal, hope you had a wonderful stay.
Great video man! You are one of the reasons why I will finally start documenting my adventures, knowledge and photography thank for the inspiration brotha
I am so bothered that you didn't capture the reflection of mt. Machapuchhre on camera. While it reflects it seems like fishtail, and mountain was named adter that.
i just loved the way you reflected our country nepal. thankyou so much for visiting nepal. and i appreciate your work and that 4kg of weight you have lost. hope to see you soon again with the next nepal trip again. #tons of love brother keep uploading such videos❤
Stayed in a lodge in Pokhara with views of Fishtail. Sally's research paid off and we weren't disappointed. Hired a guide who was amazing. Took us out early morning to capture photographs of the mountains. First ones there … then the crowds descended or is it … ascended. WHY do people have to be SO noisy? The sun came up and the experience was spoiled with the noise, as well as those selfie stick in your face.
Re those bus rides: (1) yikes! and (2) YIKES! What happens if a vehicle comes the other way? I didn't see any pulloffs in your footage but there better be something. Your pal Tom should be following your footsteps as I write this. Hope you left him some pointers! Love the boat images. Your polarizer demo shows how you can both reduce and increase reflections with it; in the latter case, simultaneously because the water and boats are reflecting light from different angles and thus with different polarities. Science! 😆👍🏾
@@BrendanvanSon The wrecked trucks at the bottom of a few narrow sections were a reminder of the possibilities. Still safer than flying out of that town.

Totally agree. They make it worth it for sure!
The Nepal series will definitely be my most favourite from you guys. There's hundreds of those scary roads in Nepal. :)

The “messy” shot may be my favorite, although all the boat photos are great. Fabulous series, Brendan...thanks for sharing!
Thanks John!!

5 hours to go 100 km sounds like Los Angeles traffic 😆
Haha. So true.
🤣🤣🤣
Great boat shots. I really liked the “messy” shot too. I would have been on the floor of the bus in a fetal position crying like a baby!
I basically was, too. Haha
and people ride those roads on motorcycles. 😁

Curious why you shot the pic with the hot air ballon on f5.6.
AmaZing place in our pokhara...please visiting nepal 2020..
haha, knowing some of the shit you've done over the years. That bus ride must be quite solid. Hilariously brutal.
Thank you for visting Nepal we love you 😉🙏
How long we could see ur videos of Nepal? It's awesome..
Hmmmm, as scary as the Rohtang pass? I don't think so. Reminds me of riding such roads on an Enfield Bullet motorcycle in Himachal Pradesh.
So I guess the odd pot hole on the Trans Canada Highway is not that bad after all hahaha 🚌
Hahaha. I'll never complain about a road in Canada again.

Lol. Selfie sticks should be banned globally.
@@BrendanvanSon It was the "screaming" that most annoyed us.
Wow ! Very nice lovely nepal
Man Pokhara not a polulated area . Pokhara is most raining area so most of time cloudy
Yea
Right
It was definitely smoggy when we were there. No denying it. Obviously not like Kathmandu, but the air quality was rough on the day we were there.
kathmandu nowadays becam wrost city , thanks to indians dhoti.................
anyways pokhara is good
That was quite the bus ride!
Thank you for visiting Nepal.

It's insane when the buses pass. They literally have inches. At one point one of our back dual tires was hanging off the edge.
@@BrendanvanSon I $hit myself reading that...
Yeah road travel is one thing I don’t miss about living in Nepal, or visiting India.
never travel in india , a country of mannerless, shit people ............. instead visit nepal ( good peoples)
Enjoy your holiday mate,,,
U should have seen the reflection of machhapuchre in the lake.

Me 🤣🤣🤣
Me hanging on rope😁✌😊

beautiful country Nepal 😍😍!!
That bus ride is a mother on the way to Pokhara, but that shore line is totally worth it.
Agreed. The funniest thing about the road is there's a sign on the side at one point saying "estimated construction completion date: 2072" haha
@@BrendanvanSon The wrecked trucks at the bottom of a few narrow sections were a reminder of the possibilities. Still safer than flying out of that town.
nepalese calendar is ahead of international calendar
@@Muttuswamivedugopal I should have remembered that.
@@BrendanvanSon and today it is 19/08/2076BS.
What is the source of the polution at Pokhara?
Old and un maintained vehicle mostly
Hit like watched the whole series on Nepal 😍
