ummmmmm, back in the day when the game was more physical and difficult to score AND the 3 was basically obsolete, people were still scoring tons. Game is easier to score nowadays, you can't put a body on cats so it't not that amazing when you put it into perspective. Westbrook is and has been a beast for years though, i'm not oblivious to that.

Russ's assists make teammates DEPENDENT.

Adams is averaging 35% more defensive rebounds/g thanks to Russ not being there, and 29% less offensive rebounds/g thanks to Russ’s enormous amount of bricks not being there.

It’s simple. Once Westbrook abandoned the Rockets’ heavy 3-point shooting philosophy and started to play his game by attacking the rim, he has been unstoppable. That 3-point chucking style of play isn’t gonna win championships.

All three took their shots and made them, harden doesn’t make most of his shots from three, neither does Russ and the rest of the team certainly can’t

It's not about hating, I don't know how speaking facts is hating. Russ can't shoot and has an average (at best) court IQ.
But he is very exciting to watch cos he is full of energy and gives his 100 all day every day.
Good on him for not settling into the 3s and focusing more on his strengths especially in attacking the basket - very efficient.
I've never seen someone like him athletically on the court. The speed and explosion that he generates is something special to see. I know Dwayne Wade is has "The Flash" nickname but this is the real Flash.

this new russel westbrook who does not settle is absolutely terrifying for the league. he will literally either get to the rim or get his teammates a wide open shot. westbrook's shot selection has been spectacular and had he adopted this style earlier he may have had multiple rings. something in him snapped and he finally had his epiphany to stop settling for 3s and deep 2s.
