This tape is a real treasure ! We all loved the very wise and seasoned style of our beloved Bishop Ford. Whenever Bishop Mason came to Chicago he would stay at Bishop Fords house. On the renowned " prayer of Bishop Mason , it is Bishop Ford who introduces him !! Bishop Fords Flow in the Spirit was spontaneous and it was cherished moments like this , conveyed so beautifully on this tape that endeared Bishop Ford to us !!!....
The good thing is that although now Corey is world famous yet he hasn't forgotten the church. He reminds me of the late Billy Preston who also came out of COGIC too.
Father, I pause to thank You for all the mighty things You do for us continually. Thank You for the beautiful bonds of love with family and friends. Thank You for a special time of joy and laughter, in the name of Jesus. I will praise Your Name with a song, and I will magnify You with thanksgiving. Amen
Look at Cory today! He has traveled the world, making a musical mark that can never be erased. What an anointing!!!❤ Presiding Bishop Ford (Chicago❤) he was undoubtedly one of a kind.🤭 I see you Bishop Blake.😊 We can see this is before Bishop D. Ellis introduced the regalia of Bishop's, Adjective's, Deaconess and other liturgical attire.
Bishop Ellis brought that to COGIC back in 1968, this was after he brought it. Bishop Ford was not a big fan of that stuff so during his tenure he got rid of it all and went back to basic old time holiness, once he died Owens reinstated it
Y’all remember them bleachers used to be rocking when we shouted… we loved sitting at the very top as kids to feel it bouncing. When we used to have to use binoculars. Lol
