  • These toys are small but huge in play value! They are very rarely working due to their complex switching mechanisms and moving parts. In this video I do I full tear down and explanation of each working part with an in depth repair.
    Enjoy!

    Very well done! I have a couple of Starwolves and the amazing Starmax shuttle I am going to restore. Your video was a great help. I also plain on removing the yellow on mine and adding some reproduction stickers I found on Esty and adding some paint details and panel lines. These are such great toys especially now that the US Space Force is a reality. Also I am happy to say the complete season is now available on DVD if you can find it for a great price definitely pick it up.

    Do you know how to repair the Starcom Tornado and Shadowbat|?

    • @toysbackzen
      @toysbackzen  2 года назад

      I’m sure I could, depending on what’s wrong with it. I do have an incomplete Shadewbat but most of it seems to work.

      @@toysbackzen On mine the springs must be broken because when I activate the transformation feature they just violently, very quickly spring into place, instead of the slow transformation. That happens on the Tornado and Shadowbat. Would I need to replace them with new parts or can I replace the spring? I've never attempted a restoration before. 😢

      @@fdr7888 usually with these toys the mechanism has gears and springs that are activated with a button or a switch just like on the star wolf. Sometimes the spring is just out of alignment, take your time and take it apart, otherwise send it to me and I could fix it for you, I’ll film it it too. If you do it it helps to take pictures or record your progress so you can put it back together later.

    Why not just buy the parts your missing because it's not original adding on peices you make..

      That may be a good idea for some people but 1 wing tip on eBay is $57 CAN funds. So no thanks! Plus it’s a lot more enjoyable to make the parts myself, very satisfying. I paid about .15 cents.
