meter dunks definitely need a tiny bit of a buff because even though they are possible, they are honestly the worst metered shot because they are inconsistent

Badge grinding in general feel really tough. Feels like I have to hard focus on a badge or 2 to upgrade it, and the rest of my badges are forced down. Just really disappointed with how some of the new changes feel like dog water.

Disappointed? Homie if you play to YOUR style and you play well then it’s easy getting those badges and stopping them from regressing along with the floor setters. You’re just a female complaining about bs

Dunk meter doesn’t pop up for me when dunking with analog stick. Does anyone else have this issue?

It doesn’t comes out because your probably letting go the turbo before u flick the analog up and down hold the turbo and try moving closer to the basket for it to work you probably trying to dunk from to far that could only be one or two of the cases
Gold poster right now. Only time it’s a good meter is wide open or the defender is way out of position and gets sucked into the dunk. At this point holding square gets me way more contacts.

@@arthurmellao6912easy way I got it was 5min quarter in mycareer, was grinding precision and poster then got it, it actually hours up really fast in Mycareer pro difficulty mainly because you can get more contact animations off

Dunking is so trash , why doesn’t slithery pop up for dunks? L.They nerfed the meter dunks
They’ve been trying to make dunking worse the last few years. Granted standing dunks are easier now compared to last year. But contact dunks they don’t want slashers to consistently do. But they buff layups and allow green contested layups go in at a higher rate. And guys shoot from all over the place which doesn’t happen at all in real life with how they be shooting in game. Like let us slashers body bad defenders in the paint. If they have bad interior and they’re in bad position the dunk meter should be huge.
The dunk meter is so dang inconsistent. I think if you activate it in a "limitless" zone the window is bigger, but if you activate it near the defender its extremely small. Thats what I've felt so far at least

Been talking to devs about it. Hate to say that publicly though, I’m sure mf’s be hating talking bout me being a crybaby about my play style being hurt, so I haven’t commented on that much besides with the devs privately.

Slashing is so bad this year!!! I have wide open paint and can't dunk. I get layups when people like 3 feet chasing me.

Randoms Rec is the least toxic in a long time. No squads running 2-3 and no buddies that only pass to each other
the dunk meter feels so wildly inconsistent this year. there’s times where the meter is really large, and you might go for that same take and get the same animation in that same situation later that game but you’ll get the smallest window. doesn’t really make any sense
Slithery has been one of the easier badges to progress for me personally. Just dont use the dunk meter and go up for a regular dunk with either hand and it pops every time

The small green window on contacts are Terrible makes it impossible to really time well I’ve done it a few but it like damn I also have a 90 driving dunk it’s really crazy
I hope 2k never does badge regression ever again. I also hope they create a system in the future where you can choose to switch badges that you won’t use. I don’t use dunk meter but my precision dunk badge goes to HOF. I’m struggling with shot timing lol I don’t need to be worrying about dunk meter too.
23 meter timing was easier. I hate 24 dunk meter. No green in the corners unless you wide open.
Honestly found doing badges in the street ball tournament way to go for badges for me. but def need over drive n drill savant. And if u do want to go the my career route id say pick n roll with u being ball handler and have the guard come set up screens they’ll always switch so u have guard guarding u now but u might need to pass out because the guard will run into paint with u n can cause u to get blocked i did it with Steph curry against jokic and it work very good
I think interior defense doesn't need to be nerfed but the way they figure out if it is a good or bad shot needs to be tweaked because sometime it make no since .

The dunk is almost collision one, as you see the Ai throw its left arm out to brace for said collision, almost like it knows it was going to come down hard on the ground. Your thoughts?

Precision. LakerFan do you think lowering dunk even down to 86 is worth it (silver posterizer) is worth it since contact dunks are so hard? I'm thinking 94 driving dunk or 86.
If i could redo build, I would go 84 for lbj dunk package and not even worry about contacts. Maybe 80 since you can get posters with slash take

Man, I've been slashing since 2k17 this dunk meter is horribly atrocious I have a 96 driving dunk with an 85 driving lay and I have clips of me trying to dunk on Paul George and Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul when they're trying to meet me in the paint when I do get a green window it is extremely small and I have to time it like a jump shot I have no problem getting contact dunk animations but a lot of the times when the meter pops up on those somewhat challenging contact marks, there's no green window I didn't give myself a 96 driving dunk for only wide open or slightly contested dunks if Russell Westbrook is sitting under the arc in the paint slowly stepping out I get a dunk meter with no green window and it makes no sense I got excited because I dunked on Steph Curry and Klay Thompson two times in a row this game got me acting like a degenerate are although I do like the green only dunk idea. This is not how you do it. also Laker huge Slasher fan if you took the time to read this long rant please pin me by the way😅, I plan on Hall of Fame difficulty in my career, but still I never saw Steph Curry or Klay Thompson or James Murray as a defensive threat until this version of 2k

This year sucks so bad for me. I don’t spend any money on vc and I get 0 badge progression playing my career and it’s ridiculously hard to shoot on mid 70s 3pter on HoF. I’m in here spamming 3s trying to get my 10 wins for elite so I can at least get my daily spin. This is miserable. Also playing strictly solo. RIP

Been making a pure slasher since 2K17... it's sad that how nerfed they are. I have a 97 driving dunk. High vertical for all contacts.. when somebody camps in the paint and I go for a skill dunk, green window is so small that it's impossible to hit it and that's with gold precision dunker almost HOF. It's the end of slashers... 😢
If u put it on rookie u get more contacts and more makes
defender being be hind or in front of the hoop makes a big difference
this year the randoms are next level trash, the builds they have are literally useless and 2k did them no favors with the templates.
Bro i played one 3v3 gane and i felt i was playing with 3yr olds. My 6ft10 giannis had to be the playmaker because our 6ft3 point guards made the craziest decisions.
Y’all huge tip. U can time dunks same way as a shot. Time it right before you actually throw the ball down and it’s a green 80% of the time.

Meter dunk need buff for 95~98 and and big buff for 99 dunk. Sacrifice a lot for that yet no pay off. But 96 3pt can hit behind half court

Laker! 2K22 I had 10 builds at 99 from point gaurd to center. 2K23 I ended with 3 builds, only because I won 250k VC or it would have only been 2. I haven't even bought VC yet because I can't decide what to build. I can't imagine keeping track of more than 1 build this year with the badge reduction, badge perks, floor setters and performace multipliers... I just want to play basketball man!
The difference is that he is slightly out of the restricted area the reward you for contesting just before that area if you inside the restricted area it’s a wrap

Is there a difference between HoF precision dunker and gold? Is the meter slower or green window bigger?
I don't think it even matters tbh even with my big that has 96 stand dunk and 94 driving dunk with it on HOF I still can't even time my shits right. The biggest difference is probably silver and gold but gold and hof is almost exactly the same
@laruexo appreciate it. I ended up making a build with 97 driving dunk. HoF percision dunk meter seems slower to me than gold. It's definitely not worth how many attribute points it takes.
How are you guys dealing with paint sitters at the moment? I’m finding it really hard to score around the rim

So they def need to fix this. I think the actual issue is from what I've noticed is the dunk meter works properly during practice. That's why your green window looks nice size and you get all your animations in practice but in the games it is completely different and barely get animations even without using the meter. It's crazy!! I green all my dunks in practice but can't in game
I got a 6ft10 giannis build with 94 dunk and 87 lay up. 77 3pointer and 75 ball handle with 71 accel, 76 speed. On paper it looks like i should be able to dunk very well. Shoot consistent wide open and decent dribbles. Instead my player cant dunk or shoot and moves like a slug. I spent 50 bucks VC on a build that sucks ffs

It’s just 2ks way of making people get frustrated and wanting to make another build!! Same with the 3pointers!! I believe it was all apart of their strategy, eventually they might buff contracts but it will be after a lot of people rebirth builds!
Meter dunking isn't worth it. The window is too slim for contacts to "risk" it. I'd rather take my chances on square in contact and let the game decide if i do a layup, slithery dunk, or contact dunk then trying to fit that small window on a contact dunk and have my teammates get tired of me trying over and over.

Precision is for meter dunks posterizer is for none meter dunks and possibility of throwing it down on the defender
