When the two swords come with the crimson attack, parry the first first sword and then when you parry the second sword keep holding down the parry button and you will enter the unbound counter stance very quickly.
The dragging attack hits from behind (the direction his hand is dragging from), so you have to pivot to block it. Also, fully upgraded cloudbreaker arrows will stun him from his red attack if you cant get the unbound counter down, especially helpful in phase two. If you do want to parry his second phase red attack, the startup of your unbound counter counts as a parry, and the ub counter itself blocks both directions. So for the second dagger, you can parry the blade, hold the button to charge the counter, and release for his big attack with one button press. I found the knockback resist jade very helpful because it prevents him from knocking you into the snakes in phase two, and the fully upgraded Full Control talisman a great punish for the red attack stun
My biggest struggle with this boss is I'm so used to going into the air to parry because it nullifies the directional parrying but in the second phase I don't have enough time to jump, block the 2 daggers and then come down to parry the crimson attack. Trying to relearn my positioning is not easy for me
Just like the little Ronan dudes in the Empyrian courtyard, you have to actually pivot and face his fingernails to parry when he rakes the floor. It can save your life if you don’t have time to jump, or just wanna play a more patient game and stand your ground 👍
The build I like using for this fight ( and most other boss fights) is the regular arrows ( in this battle particularly) cause on the second phase you’re between a rock and a hard place with the daggers and red attack, I was never able to avoid it, it didn’t feel like there was enough time to parry the daggers and super parry his red attack. I think a couple times I was able to parry the daggers and dash thru the red attack but was much easier to stun him with a regular arrow and and parry the daggers. It takes about half your health if he hits you with the red attack so can be a one shot kill if landed. For jades I prefer the quick slash with the recovery jade that gives internal damage back per slash hit. With those you’repretty much able to cancel out any internal damage taken from using the quick slash and go to work on bosses. I like the second chance jade reviving you with 25% health and the quick dose Jade letting you heal faster If you can stay under him hitting and watching for the drag his first phase is light work. For talismans I like full control, will do massive damage and stun if you hit him with the full 5. I don’t care much for the water one even though it can’t be interrupted it dosent do much damage. All that being said I have used your guides ever since lady ethereal for strategy on bosses. quick, concise and helpful. Was stuck on here for a while. Keep up the good work.
i lost count on how many tries i had on him but the only thing that gets me killed are the daggers and the crimson slam at the same time, i kept trying to go with the arrow but this seems easier, ill try it later, thanks
The parrying the two arrows + unbound counter on the crimson attack really f's me up i still can't consistently deflect those even after 30ish tries
You got this!
You got it bra I just beat the ladybug lady after like 50 tries😂. When I went ultra instinct it made it feel like I was playing rock band.

If you make use of your cloud piercer arrows you can stop Fuxi's crimson attacks and parry the needles!! You can also use this for many other bosses

Yeah, I do the same thing and I'd suggest trying to dash through his cimson attack mid-air
Arrows will stun him anytime in phase 2, doesn't just have to be the red attack
If you turn towards the drag you can parry it
Thanks for the guide, the hitboxes on his attacks have been driving me insane lol.
Yeah, some of the hitboxes in this game are... interesting.

I get spammed by the needles in the second phase. Needles every Damn attack
i'm on my 50 try
the crimson strike i struggle to time perfectly so i either have to face thank his attacks or dodge perfectly
