Just found you. water colour is my therapy, but I love watching general art haul and swatching videos and my 55 inner children are crying out! This was fun to watch.
Nice art haul. The double sided magnets seem like they could really be useful for metal palettes. Love the stamp set from Irit. Would like to see more watercolor content. Cheers! :)
This video is awesome thank you , it’s awesome to get joy from art supplies! And your videos show you do. Get joy from. Thwm ….optimistic is a good name for you
A fabulous haul Kori! I know you are very excited!🎨🖌️ The watercolor workbook and sketch book essential clear stamps are wonderful! So fun and a very clever idea...The journal Erica sent you is Lovely. She is so thoughtful!...I enjoyed the video. 🙋💕
I’m not a colorist but RUclips knows I greedily watch watercolor vids. A couple things: I have that same thin tin for watercolors and really like it. If you use the 6x9 palette paper and tear each page into thirds, it fits perfectly in the top of the tin. Also I have the Primrosia journal; I use it for my morning prayer journal. The paper isn’t sized, I don’t think and it soaks in the watercolor. I like it better with gouache. Finally I do like the Snap brushes but Black Silver are my absolute favorite! Enjoy all your fun supplies!
Oh I too really love my Black Velvets, but wanted to give the Snap a try after seeing a few people use them and just see. Sometimes a variety of brushes is sort of refreshing and fun :)
Rachel’s Hello Spring set looks intriguing, May need to check her out. Great haul vid and can’t wait to see your watercolors!! 🥰😃👍🏾 I hope you’re doing World Watercolor Month’22 (07/22)!! Psyched…
Hello from Scotland..I just discovered your channel from the title of this haul video catching my attention..really enjoyed it and look forward to the swatch videos..I’ve just discovered the joy of watercolour this past couple of years being stuck at home during the pandemic so love watching haul videos to see what I should buy, thank you!
Awe sorry that you've been stuck at home! But I'm glad this gave you something to watch. Yes, I do plan to film me swatching those paints - I've been working my way through them and need to edit the videos lol.
I love that you are doing more watercolor videos. I like watching you swatch the different watercolor brands. I have the regular white nights set. I got the plastic watercolor pan instead of the metal pan set as Amazon was out of that. Apparently there were different colors in each set. Love those supergranulating sets and all the sets you bought. Looking forward to see you swatching them all.
I purchased one of the smaller 24 well empty watercolor palette kits that came with half pans and full pans. I planned on using it as my super granulation palette, but quickly realized I needed to size up to the 48 between my Masha's and Schmincke. I plan to use the smaller 24 well palette for shimmers/colorshifts. Unfortunately I only have 2 of the Schmincke super granulating sets in tubes, but I've filled half pans with them and could probably fill another one or two half pans from the 5ml tubes. I ordered the Boho Chic palette from MrsHandPainted and I LOVE it!
You should be able to get 3 half pans with one 5ml but if course it depends on how you fill the pans for sure. I do plan to have one palette that is all granulating and then just make fun palettes 🎨 for playing
The Princeton SNAP brushes are a really good brush and the belly holds the right amount of water in my opinion, and the price is just unbelievable. I hope you enjoy using them! Looking forward to seeing your swatch videos..and the giveaway will be amazing!
Omg, I want so many things, I’ll be watching this again with a note pad in hand! Mothers Day is coming… was thinking of the White Nights last month, but put them off for reasons of my own. This was fantastic, thank you so much
Hello, I myself was looking at the White Nights paints last month until I saw where they came from. Might be stupid to some but I live in Europe so feeling what is going on further East. Glued the the news every day. Please don't have a go at me, we all have the right to choose, well most of us do. Regards Helen
I wonder if tourists would buy half the crap they claim to buy of they didn't get to write it all off. Luckily, I've never seen a product a RUclipsr show that made me want to rush out and buy it. Especially the crap they get for free. It actually turns me off from buying Antony at all from companies that give away crap to youtubers. Like arteza brand. I wouldn't buy an arteza product if they sold them for a dime in a going out of business sale.
You've got some beautiful stuff there! Some of those watercolor sets are looking so awesome. Thinking on trying more watercolors for backgrounds maybe...
I love this! I too started water coloring years ago and with discovering coloring have been rediscovering watercolor! Love your haul! I would love to see the swatch of the pastel set! Thank you Kori!! Great idea with the different sets! So fun!!(:
I'd love to see you use the Primrosia notebook to see how it withstands washers, layers, swatches, blend testing to record combos/mixes you like, etc. I'm concerned with pilling & terrible warping and if like your feedback before buying one of these.
OH how much fun!! I actually do want to learn to use my watercolor paints! I love using them. So I am glad you are picking it back up. GREAT giveaway too!!
Congratulations on hitting your milestone! Holy Cow! You snagged some AH-MAZING supplies! I love the handmade watercolors. I am looking forward to seeing them in action. Btw, that journal is awesome! It's my favorite. There are several from the company in different colors/themes. Gah! They are simply gorgeous, and they look fabulous sitting on a shelf
I will second those Princeton Snap brushes. I have a few of the Golden Taklon and the White Synthetic. I have had them for about 6-7 years and they are still going strong. Granted I have not used them extensively, but have used them at least 20x (or more) The snap is the reason why I purchased them. I had purchased a handful with no spring and I don't like them. I need to have more control, the softer ones don't work for me. I purchased a couple Aqua Elite brushes about a year ago and still haven't used them. Not sure why? Lol TFS!
Hi, I’m relatively new to your channel and coincidentally I’m just starting with watercoloring! So I’m excited you do both. I don’t know what dot cards are. I’ll check your playlists to see if you have a watercolor “start here” video. Maybe things like that are explained there? I bought the 45 set of Cotman from Windsor and Newton and a few brushes and a watercolor swatch book. I only want to watercolor in coloring books. I don’t need to learn to free hand create water color pages. It’s hard to find water coloring channels that are not for creating your own and are just for watercoloring in coloring books. I’d love a playlist or videos on where to start and how to get started.
Hi there my dear and welcome! I just started bringing watercolor to the channel but I can def create some playlists as I create the content. A dot card is just a small dollop (or dot) of fresh paint that you can use to swatch and even play with colors before you buy the whole tube or pan. I enjoy them because they let me see what colors from a collection I really want
Fabulous haul! Enjoy all your new watercolor loot! I think you will especially love the Romal Smzal palette. I was so tempted by the pretty box, but I already have most of the colors...I'm tempted again after watching your video. ;D Irit's stamps do look super fun! Just so you know, most stamps are created by an artist. Some stamp companies are better at giving credit to the artist. ;)
I haven't tried Roman before so I'm excited. Oh what I meant by made by artist is that she has personally designed and sells them in her shop so you're not buying from a stamp company that mass produces their stamps from their artists (life you said some aren't great at even telling you who made it lol).
Thanks for showing your haul. I don't see a disconnect between art supplies with the coloring world. I have used watercolors to color as well. It's actually faster than pencil. I really like Jackson's. I use DHL when I order from them and its gets to me within 3-5 days depending on the day of the week I order (I am on the West Coast), where as Blick's takes about two weeks. I suppose I could always drive to the store which is about 15 miles away - Blick's I mean. The orders come from back east rather than the store that's near by. So there is that. I love the White Knights and the Roman Szmal. Being a bit of a completist, I have the entire range of White Knights and am missing about 7 of the newly released colors from the latter because they have been out of stock for quite sometime. Watercolors are my jam, but I probably should look into other media, not pencils (I have plenty of those). -but oils and acrylics too. Have fun with your new paints. I hope you will show us some of your work.
Kori this was such an incredible haul! I'm definitely going to check out Jackson's for art supplies. I would like to see you swatch out all of the watercolor paints that you got in your haul. Also, please let us know how the book you were gifted, reacts to your watercolor paints. The Irit Landgraf stamps look so cool. Do they pop apart in to individual stamps? I would love to see the Roman Szmal Botanical watercolor paint set swatched, along with your 3 separate full pans. I've heard that is a really good, and affordable brand of watercolor paints.
I’d like to see them all swatched and I’d also like to know which is better, the Schmincke, White Nights or Roman Szmal. I did see THAT Jackson Art sale but the week before, they had a pan Pastel sale and I blew my budget there🤷🏼♀. Next time…
