I put in my guitar the Seymour Duncan David Gilmour SSL-5 in the bridge position and in the middle position i put in Seymour Duncan Jimi Hendrix for the 60's tone and in the neck position i put in the Seymour Duncan SSL-1 for the 50's tone.
Nice guitar. I’m looking to put the 5 in my Black Gilmour strat. The other two he had in there are hard to find a single as opposed to a set of three. The SSL-5 sounds great.

Awesome. Bet it sounds great.

Thanks. I would also like to try a SSL6 non staggered.
Killer sound in a killer looking Strat. \m/
Thank you
I had an ssl-5 in a strat and thought it was way too dark and sold it. I'm thinking of trying it again but without a tone control on it.
You should...it's a hot pickup without the shrill. Reminds me of a P90.
i like to always put my tone all open and then i got sound out of my hand, so i can really get the strato tone and make it the way a like
Everytime I hear SSL-1s it sounds like Knopfler's red Schecter. I'm betting you have pickups about 1/8" bass and 3/32" treble.
Yep...I raise the treble side a smidge.
@@thorpenator9148 A split off a paint can stick does well as a 1/8" gauge!
@@RideAcrossTheRiver Sweet. Good to know
@@thorpenator9148 I see people using hex wrenches and drill bits, but steel should not touch pickup poles.
@@RideAcrossTheRiver I agree.
Lower is better. Less magnet pull
I need those pickups
Glad you liked them.
