We started playing last Christmas & it’s so much fun. We added candy, cell phone chargers, lottery tickets, gum, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, wireless headphones, $1’s & $5’s, deodorant, body wash, food gift cards & in the center $20. We bought the LARGE Dollar Tree toy foam dice & played without the oven mitts.
love playing this. My mom use to put this together (her & my sister)... My mom passed away so I'm trying to put this together tomorrow for my nieces, nephews, brother, sister ect. Our kids are becoming young adults. I like to play w them. So much fun and laughter ❤ Merry Christmas Everyone ❤️
I am first time this year also, Mt Aistee in Missouri has been playing it foe years with her family and I got to play for my first time last year while visiting ba c k home during the Christmas Season for my Daughter 's Graduation from RN School right before Christmas last year!❤ I am looking forward to playing in with family here in NC this Christmas!!😊 Thanks for explaining more about tips and how to's how to play. Merry Christmas to you and your family and all the families that see this in the years to come!!🎁🎄💝🦌🤶🎅🕊🫎
We're doing this, I started the ball, my daughter in law will get it n add to it, then back to hubby then to son, so it's a surprise for all we are adding lottery tickets, fishing stuff, aprons etc
I make a saran wrap ball for my husbands high school student's to play for their Christmas party, and we use giant foam dice that they frequently chuck across the room between doubles to make things more interesting lol. Putting in wrapping paper and toilet paper is a new one for me, so I can't wait to incorporate that into this years! Also, tip for those doing this alone, you can take the roll of saran wrap out of the box and suspend it on a broom stick between two chairs and roll a lot faster and with some bigger pieces mixed in!
Looks like fun. I seen another game yesterday where there were a bunch of different mugs with bows on top and each person gets to pick a mug one of the mugs was clear & contained a dollar bill under it, but some of the other ones you couldn't see through contained a 5, a 10 & A 20, some contained more than 1 bill, some contained candy, some contained nothing. Looked like a fun game too. Whatever you can fit under a mug. It's fun to see who will go for the sure thing and who's willing to gamble on something better.
I just finished wrapping my Christmas Ball. I added candy, lottery tickets, cash, gum, Gift Cards, and coins. I always create a game to do after we eat our meal on Christmas Day. Happy Holidays.
Awesome video! 🎉 Saran Ball is always so fun! And after it is finished, trading gifts is great! 👍 Watching the trade negotiations is a game in itself! 😂Your son is precious! Love when you do a video together! ❤ Merry Christmas!
I love when your son gets to join you. I can see how he looks up to what you’re doing on RUclips. Super special 💝 And he is awesome on camera. What a neat way to connect with one another and allow him to be apart of your RUclips world.
Great video! I played this at a Christmas party with oven mitts and can’t wait to make it a family tradition. I’m glad I have something to do with my mini couponing items 😂
Your son is adorable. Love the energy at the end, looks like fun. Definitely will do this next year. Maybe even for Halloween and load it with candy. Why not? :D
I tried this game today. I had 8 grand daughters from the age of 2 - 7 years old. Since we have 3 two year olds, the rules needed to be fairly simple. We did not use the dice. I had them sit in a circle on the floor and gave them each a Ziplock bag to place their prizes in. We played music and stopped the music when a child received a few things during their turn. When the music stopped, they stopped unwrapping and then passed the ball to the next person in the circle. They even did some trading at the end as some kids got something other kids loved, etc. It was fun and fairly easy. We made the balls with one piece of continuous saran wrap... shorter pieces would have worked better in hind sight.
Thanks for all the great advice! Tried my first one last year. So much fun! We were all adults so I mostly put money but the real fun was all the coins flying out all over the place!! HAHAHA! Question: Did I see you guys wrapping up individual items in saran wrap prior to incorporating them in the ball? If so, is the person supposed to unwrap that first before they continue unwrapping the big ball?
@@SavingwithChristina Thanks for answering that! I am not sure my gang would have the patience for that! HA! Someone else would probably steal the big ball and chaos would ensue!! Wish us luck! This time we will have about 50 people at the party so we are going to try only taking turns by family, then they can take turns within their own group. Hope it works!
Instead of using the dice, I think maybe to start the game you play music and when it stops it goes to the next person. That is how my niece did hers one time. Just pick someone that is doing the music doesnt not favoring anybody lol. Like she chose me to do the music because I’m visually impaired and I can’t see who has the ball so I would just stop it whenever. Just a thought.
We printed pictures of family members who were going to play game if you got a pictures you could swap with that person before game over. Again you make your rules we Inc funny pictures of people that took random throughout year. Also another thought could be alphabetic letters written could do same if you didn't want want to do pictures

You must be so proud of your son. You have taught him so well, but he has also absorbed a lot. He is so articulate, kind and helpful!

Yes!!! All those travel sized items are great
@@SavingwithChristina I do have a question! Should I get Saran Wrap from the dollar tree or just get a big roll from Walmart?
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you play this game! Hoping next year to get things together and play with family dollar.
It’s so fun!

@@friendayors I love the music (freeze game) idea. That’s easier than the dice! We might try that for our classroom.
This game is so fun! You gave me so many new ideas!
Yay!!
Thanks for the cute idea..I like this better than the same old dirty Santa game.
It’s so fun!
Really cool idea thanks for sharing
You’re welcome ☺️
So cute!!! Thank you.

Love this. Since you like playing games, you should play salad bowl. It's a combination of catch phrase and charades.
