The thing about alcohol consumption is that because of the way alcohol is metabolized there is this point of no return once you have consumed a certain amount of alcohol. What that essentially means is that once you consume more than that amount in a certain period of time you will not feel the same when you sober up as you did before you started consuming alcohol. So you have to keep drinking in order to escape the hangover from the accetyldehyde building up in your bloodstream only making the problem worse later on.
