They conquered the audience and set a record for tee shirt sales. Their popularity has sky rocketed and now they are one of the biggest live concert acts in the world.
In the end they promise to work out if they can have a piece of chocolate, pretty much. Road of Resistance (Live in Japan) is the nicest example of how Su can control the crows. She splits the crowd making a Mosh Pit/Wall of Death. When you start to see their huge stadium or festival shows, you can gauge the size of the multiple mosh pits that are formed. Baby Metal is a combination of genres. First, the music tempo is heavy metal but the songs are written in a pop mode with the tune being catchy and easy to remember. The girl's costumes are pure anime as is their choreography. With that said: As EVERYONE points out-these girls put on one hell of a show-well worth the price of admission. Their stamina is amazing and what is more amazing is that behind the scenes these girls are just very polite and demure schoolgirls. There are videos of them going to school. The two younger girls, Moa and Yui were inseperable for years-the very best of friends but something happened in 2018 when Yui decided to part ways with the band. Still it is mind boggling that at for decades the US ruled all genres of rock (the big money was in the US) but the recording industry threw rock n roll out the window in 1990. Now, truly great rock acts like Baby Metal and Nightwish are not only from other countries, but in countries that aren't the US, these acts will fill a stadium whereas in the US they will play an arena or even a smaller venue. I didn't know about Nightwish until a year ago (they get little airplay if at all in the US) and Baby Metal I accidentally stumbled upon them a week ago. There are two theories about the statue. Some say it is supposed to be the Virgin Mary, while others think it is a personification of Su-Metal as a goddess. I own the DVD of this concert and after many viewings I can vouch that the statue has Oriental eyes. Why would they give Mary Magdalene Oriental eyes? And, yes, I know the concert begins with Ave Maria. As for what genre Babymetal is, they are their own genre, Kawaii Metal (cute metal).
IMO it's not their best song at all, but the greatest WTF moment in the history of metal and I love it for that. BABYMETAL is such an amazing band and my favorite band! They are not afraid to do whatever they want!
I love to witness those WTF expressions turn into smiles. :-) You were spot-on, they are indeed doing homework at that one point in the choreography. The "protagonist" says that after a hard day's work they have deserved a piece of chocolate, but then they start worrying about their weight again. The lyrics are not the most sophisticated, but it's not necessarily just a song about chocolate, either. It may also be about social pressure to "fit in", which in Japan is probably even more present than in other countries. Following suggested links is a good idea, since there are a lot of videos that have a tendency to get blocked. So if you are now in this journey and u wanna listen to some rap on it, you should react to PA PA YA! next, a song from their latest album this year! Great reaction keep it up!!
No BM reaction is complete without the BM preacher , the knowlege holder the one and only Rick Wagners comment. On a different note. You have reacted to 2 of the "weaker" songs. It's true though that "Gimme Choco" is BM id card. This song went viral and gave them worldwide attention back in 2014. To be frank that's what propeled Japanese rock and metal music fame outside of Japan as well and I'm really happy I fell down that rabbit hole back then. Many great bands and a huge hole in my pocket getting merch from Japan, UK or Germany. As others have mentioned allready Megitsune , Akatsuki , Rondo of Nightmare are some heavy hitters (imo). If you have thoughts about continuing with BM i'd suggest you run the catalog back to front to see the evolution of the music and the girls. It's interesting going from pop-metal to classic/modern metal to themed folk metal with some BIG names from the metal scene featured in the latest album(Joakim was a delight but I needed more Alissa tbh).
Billy...nice reaction as usual. They still going strong. If you want some off the wall rapping. check out Su metal doing her thing with BxMxC. It has to be live. Here is best quality sound one I could find from Dan B. ruclips.net/video/BjNHAZAAQug/видео.html

"Take a deeper dive into these girls...music" you almost lost it, but you saved it in the end.
React to Road of resistance or karate by babymetal!
BABYMETAL - Doki Doki Morning
Well this was interesting but honestly I kinda liked it, definitely not something I can listen to normally like on my playlist but I could think of making an anime soundtrack of my own for gaming or something.
It's one of their less serious songs. Akatsuki, Tales of the Destinies and Rondo of Nightmare are some of the more serious ones, first one being power metal and the two others are prog.
Not rabbit hole welcome to the FOX HOLE!!
Babymetal " Yava" live at Tokyo Dome.
Hey @BillyYouSoCrazy, brand new home free released one hour ago.
Check out Ijime Dame Zettai it's a song against Bullying
Great suggestion!

Oh shit! Billy found Babymetal! I'm surprised starting with iine from way back, and now Choco. Can we keep him for a 3 count? Let's see.....
(Post vid) Ok! Glad you're liking the girls. Maybe try one with a little more "meat" on it... BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL) ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html

My favourite Babymetal song is Karate. The music video is badass.
They were singing that they want chocolate, but are worried about their weight. They don't normally have rap breakdowns outside of IINE (ee-nay, not Line).
I recommend Akatsuki (ah-kah-tsoo-kee) or "Red Moon," particularly the Black Night Budokan performance, seen here.

Karate by Babymetal
Love watching you man. I still don't know about this music myself. It's okay but not my thing. It was fun as always watching you.

@@harolgarciarok They won best live act two years running - their live shows are incredible ... and really good fun.
Check out “Megitsune” Live
Watch Death legend 1997 concert. That statue plays a role
Popular Monster- Falling in Reverse. Great song if you want metal with rap. Or even do Drugs-Falling in Reverse
Babymetal reaction I see, I hit that Like Button... This is Jpop/Idol Metal Music Genre, or Kawaii Metal, that's cute metal... So if you are now in this journey and u wanna listen to some rap on it, you should react to PA PA YA! next, a song from their latest album this year! Great reaction keep it up!!
The genre can only be described as "Babymetal." Check out Headbangeeeeerrrrr!
Karate def its one of my faves by Baby Metal also Megitsune
🔥🔥🔥
Wormholes are called Fox holes with Babymetal.
BABYMETAL - BxMxC
I'm an old guy if I knew how to link I'd do it but I don't so I can't.
If you love babymetal you'll really like ladybaby - Nippon Manju
Karate by Babymetal is a good one
It's not Line. It's iine, with 2 ii's. Pronounced ee-nay. Which is why the chorus was 🎵ee-nay🎵ee-nay🎵.
You should try the band The Hu, either Wolf Totem or Yuve Yuve Yu
Bro,you gotta watch Babymetal- Headbanger, Legend of 1997 live HD, vid, and thier mv KARATE
You should do bartender by rehab
U should do songs from Disney movies
Oddly, it's a Statue of blessed Virgin Mary (of Akita?)

If you want something totally bat shit crazy from Japan, you gotta check out “Nippon Manju” by Lady Baby, that shit is insane...and it has subtitles.
Billy...nice reaction as usual. They still going strong. If you want some off the wall rapping. check out Su metal doing her thing with BxMxC. It has to be live. Here is best quality sound one I could find from Dan B. ruclips.net/video/BjNHAZAAQug/видео.html
