  • My clutch fan shattered and I want to put an end to the risk of running clutch fan for high revving application. Aside from avoiding fan explosion risk, electric fan also has benefits of unleashing parasitic power loss from the engine.
I got a Sard 16" slim electric fan for the job. The objective is to use the fan with stock fan shroud and radiator (not custom aluminium radiator). The fan is to be mounted without contact to its core and fins to avoid risk of coolant leak due to long term abrasion. All proven to be possible in this video.

Thank you for your video. I want to do an electric fan when I replace my radiator. That way it’s all done at the same time. I hope you solved your clearance issue. Great job! Keep it up.

Glad to hear that you find the video helpful. Clearance issue is there but definitely can be handled through a mix of bolts and washers

Get the 80c thermostat and the 80c coolant temperature sensor which is located on the passenger side of the radiator near the expansion tank. Using the 80c thermostat and 80c temp sensor allows me to run all summer long without having the engine fan. These sensors will allow the front aux tan to come on just a little sooner than the factory set temperature which will keep the car running cooler. The fan clutch or the electric fan your adding and have added by now since 7 months has gone by is redundant and not doing shit lol. I have one on my car as well but it’s not needed. Also add a bottle of Redline Water Wetter coolant additive !!! 😉
