I was shocked at the prices as someone from the UK, but with the conversion - 25 AUD is £13 here, which is great for self published books! We can only get traditionally published books for £8-£10 and the works (the really cheap bookshop in the uk) only hold limited traditionally published hyped up books and nothing super special- for instance tutoring the player is £12.99 for us which is 24.75 aud so it’s only like .50 more expensive! Your numbers just look a lot scarier!
haha they absolutely look scarier! we also have a Works equivalent called Big W/Kmart, they sell books for $12 AUD or £6.31. although, traditionally published books here can definitely be more expensive in bookstores (usually around $24 AUD or £12.63), i just bought the cheap ones 🤣 it’s so fascinating finding out about the country to country differences and similarities!

I got all of Kandi’s discreet covers of the football series for $10 or $12 each. They all randomly dropped one day and I may have broke some records with how fast I checked out. It didn’t stay those prices for long though.
so glad to know i’m not alone in calculating the average cost of my books to make myself feel better 🤣 and i’ll be religiously checking for Learn Your Lesson to drop in price!
