- I don't think I have ever opened more special editions in one sitting and I'm THRILLED about it! This video is the unboxing of the June Fairyloot boxes for the Romantasy Subscription (Rotten to the Core), the Adult Subscription (Demons and Deities) and my missing April YA box (Dark Domains). There is also the Fairyloot special editions of the Emily Wilde and Divine Rivals sequels, and An Education in Malice by S T Gibson!

I also loved the end papers the most on The God and the Gumiho. They're SO pretty. And I absolutely loved A Dowry of Blood so you're not the only one!! Ruthless Vows is a gorgeous edition and I love how they look together. So lovely to see you back, I hope you're doing ok.

great unboxing & so good to see you back! 😊 fairyloot made a nice blog post today on their website going more in depth about which sub box will contain which types of books - and the epic fantasy sub sounds fantastic and so different from anything they’ve done!
I thought that the overlays were really pretty but I was really disappointed that it was Fourth Wing as I don't own a copy of the book so I'm not going to get any use from them. I wish that they were for One Dark Window, Belladonna or Darker By Four.
As for the smocking character, it makes sense if you read the book :) I enjoyed it and gave it 4 stars.
In my opinion, if they give overlays in a box, it should only be for the book of the month, to make sure that everyone owns the book as well and can enjoy the overlays. What's the point of making overlays for another book... 😕

That Emily Wilde sequel is so pretty! The book itself was okay, I enjoyed it but liked the first better. I am looking forward to book 3 though. LOVE the edges on Ruthless Vows. I really enjoyed Divine Rivals, but have not read Ruthless yet. I have the Owlcrate versions of both but honestly like FL's better, especially the edges.
Trivets are more to put a hot pan/plate on so the counter/table isn't damaged!

I’ve only got the romantasy sub left as the YA/Adult picks weren’t great for me last year. I really hope Romantasy picks up soon 😅 haha.
I love my IC boxes, their skips are great so I just get a box every now and again - usually if it’s a cool item/book. Evernight has been a stand out sub for me this year, their designs are always 🔥
I cancelled my Fairyloot combo box sub this year after a year and using all 4 skips. The books were a massive disappointment with 10 unhauled editions...I was so excited to get off the waiting list only to discover that while the books appeared pretty they weren't often ones I wanted to actually read.
I'm not an Adult Fairyloot subscriber, but when I saw the Gumiho edition I immediately ordered it second hand! It's gorgeous!

Firstly, I'm so glad you are feeling better. Being sick for an extended time is awful. That Ruthless Vows special edition is nicer than Owlcrate IMO. I didn't get the Divine Rivals Fairlyloot edition and the resale online is too much so I didn't bother getting that one but it is really pretty. I like to have matching sets so I got the second one from Owlcrate. I have been on the fence about signing up for the Fairlyloot Epic Fantasy box. I've been on the Fairlyloot waitlist for the adult book for a while now and get the book only for YA. I've signed up for 3 of the 4 new Owlcrate quarterly boxes coming out next spring and I'm really pushing it with what I subscribed to now. I just will have massive FOMO if I see that I missed out on a nice special edition. I didn't sign up for the Sci-Fi one because I don't read enough of that to justify getting it. I do like Epic fantasy books though... Ugh...
I'm surprised no book subscritions made an interpretation of the cards in One Dark Window. That would be a cool thing to have. Certainly better than small face cleanser pads that other book boxes have done. I wonder if they are all part of distribution where companies pitch ideas to and that is how they choose what to put in boxes. It's too much of a coinsidence when they offer similar items as their competiton.
Never clicked so fast XD I am same as you have both Emily Wilde and Divine Rivals duo and yet to read them XD they are so pretty though. I adore the dust cover of Nectar of the Wicked (the rest is sadly meh ) and gurl if you are blushing from that quote you are in for a ride with this one XD I am sad I missed our on the God and the Gumiho as I adore the customisation on that one.

This happened to me when I went to see Queen in concert I was so sick for a week and a 1/2 afterwards and it wasn't COVID, but basically somebody told me that my immune system hadn't been exposed to anything because I had managed to avoid COVID and any kind of colds and therefore when. I did catch just a normal cold that really knocked me out.
That's awful :( I never even thought about that
Might have had the flu! It can last about week and when I had it a few months ago I felt way worse than I did with COVID.
I also got the concert plague!! 😅 I had to have 4 days off work and I still feel exhausted and a bit stuff nearly 2 weeks later!!
Did you take a covid test? I'm only just starting to feel better now and my shows were 3 weeks ago

As for the Romantasy book, for some reason I don't like it. I don't like the graphics inside, or even the cover. I'm curious what the Epic Fantasy series will look like. :)

idk maybe this is just me but i really don't think the smoking cigarette thing is that deep 😭 the % of teens who smoke in the UK is under 5% now, it's vaping that's much more of an issue

It’s really bothers me that they put adult book overlays in a young adult box, when they put Emily wildes overlays in the young adult box it annoyed me soo much since I’m an adult subscriber and fourth wing is also an adult book like keep the box YA. Rant over 🤣 I got Emily wildes book too and can’t wait to get reading it. I finished the Romantasy book it’s good if that’s your thing tho it’s edges on the line of dark Romantasy so won’t be for everyone
