Snap! I have Long Covid too and also suspected ME. I'm always looking to speak to more people with LC as I rarely meet/hear anyone that has it. If you're comfortable, I would love it if you could e-mail me about your experience (email is in my description). This is such a good idea and interesting to watch! I loved seeing a bit of myself - as someone with disabilities & can't go out much without days of recovery time - represented in the community. I love your channel, you have a great calm energy.
Absolutely! We're very much hidden from society unfortunately. It's been so lovely to find others who are also in a similar situation to me. Makes me feel less alone. 💗
Fun video idea! I love a bit of online shopping/bargain hunting so this was nice to watch while I nurse a migraine. A couple of those books are on my TBR too. Sorry to hear you're in a bit of a crash--it's so easy to fail at pacing properly when there's so many things you want to do, isn't it? Sometimes I feel like it's worth the crash to have the memories, other times, like now, not so much 😅
Sorry about the migraine!! 😣 Hopefully that will go away soon. Oh gosh, it's so hard indeed! I do try and say no to a lot of things, but I agree with you, sometimes the crash is worth it. This is all very new to me still, so I'm still testing how far I can push and where my limits are etc.
This was the best! I online shop and compare like this even when I am in store😊 So nice to see the realities of being a book lover ❤Always shopping for the the best deal!
Ohh how fun! I remember seeing online bookshopping videos during the lockdowns, and was recently thinking about how much I liked watching them 😊 Excited to watch!
LOVED this video! So nice to see such a relatable experience - as an autistic person, going to physical book shops is sometimes too overwhelming for me, especially around the busy Christmas time. WoB is my happy place, and it’s great to see how someone else makes decisions what to buy based on budget, rating, etc! Thank you! ❤
I can so relate, I do have some sensory issues, and much prefer visiting shops when they're quieter. During Christmas time, I can forget about it! 😂 Or I'll go really late, love a bit of late night shopping. Aww thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! 🥰
next time you do this I would 100% recommend checking Vinted! I can't believe WOB is selling Empire of Pain used for £20 when there's currently 5 selling right now for £2.50 on there!! And dozens and dozens of £1 daisy jones, honey and spice too (all popular books go extra cheap there!) Ive got so many books off there, and sooo many of them are still in perfect condition, and even with shipping they end up cheaper than buying new! So always worth checking out if a book is on there before buying new/expensive WOB prices imo!! 💖
WHHAATTTT?!? 😯😧 I always heard about buying books on Vinted but assumed they would be terrible condition! If I do another shop with me I’m DEFO checking Vinted! Thank you for letting me know, I need to save my coins 💗💗💗💗

Hello, just wanted to make you aware that The Works sell new releases (especially romance) for half or even less of a price! I got Honey & Spice for £2.50 and Magnolia Parks for £5 - and it is a great place to buy books from (in combo with WOB, that's pretty much the only places where I buy books from!) I'd keep an eye on there for future paperback releases, they're great! It was great to see your shopping and I cannot wait to see the haul! You have great taste, and some fine titles on that list!😀❤
I've just checked now, I'm so silly! I completely forgot about the Works! I'm so tempted to return the book to Waterstones so I can get a refund and then buy it at The Works. 🙈£7.50 is a lot of money, and I can buy more books 😂👀
You're getting a great amount of views and comments for being so new!!! I LOVE that for you. Well deserved. If I had a better space I would start a channel... maybe someday!
Its nice to see online book shopping video. I always do book shopping this way, books in bookstores are much pricer in my country and if I want to read book in English there are almost no books in this language or Al’s no they are pricey, so all my books are bought online 📚
I enjoyed the online book shopping, def film more in the future! Educated was fantastic, I listened to the audiobook a couple years ago and it stays with me.
I really appreciate this video. I do quite a bit of thrift book shopping- both in store and online. I have only read DJATS and really want to read Empire of Pain. Happy unboxing and reading.
I love how deliberate you are with your book buying, I feel like I always intend to be that way and then the reality looks a bit like an episode of classic Supermarket Sweep 😂 that’s such a great haul, can’t wait to see what you think of Educated and Empire of Pain! ♥️
This was so fun and cosy! I loved being on the journey of trying to reach your spending limit. You did a great job. Take care of yourself and have a wonderful Christmas/New year ❤
It was relaxing tagging along with your online book shopping ❤ I love going on world of books when I’ve got a longer list of books going and sometimes I’m surprised by what they do and don’t have! I usually have good luck with newer releases (the past 5-10 years) on that site but any books older than that I’ve found start getting iffy. I’ve gotten some rough copies that said they were in good condition before. Still readable but you’re right with your world of books critiques! Just gotta keep an eye out for their funky pricing and things 💚
Aww thank you! Yes me too, it's my go to when I have more than 5 books I want to buy. However, I did miss some Bargains from The Works, so I will defo be looking there if I do this type of video again. Hahaha yeah, some of the prices are outrageous! 😂 I would love to know the reasoning behind it!
Loved the video! I had this playing on one side of my screen while "window shopping" on the other along with you lol! I'm so excited for when your books come in 🥰 Hope you're able to get lots of rest and relaxation, love!
Such a great video. Loved online shopping with you 💛 I've never bought books at World of books, looks like a nice place. Will try to find the ones from my wishlist there. And damn, the situation when prices with discount code is higher than without it... Happened too often.

Thank you Nickelle this was a great idea for a video, I too love a bargain. I also have a chronic condition and feel your fatigue !. Keep up the good work 😀
This was a really fun video, loved it! Also I really recommend Red Rising and Empire of Pain. Cultist was pretty good. I hope you enjoy the books you ordered and I look forward to hearing what you think of them. I wish you the best and happy holidays!
Educated is so good. I really enjoyed honey and spice but I adored her first book love in colour. You got loads for your money!! Sadly I tried wob recently for a secret santa gift, and they arrived so damaged even though it said VGC 🙄 so it put me off. Yes about waterstones too though!! I got the marriage portrait in hardback and the bottom half of the last few pages had been ripped out!!! I don't know how you do the video in screenshare thing, but it was really fun. Your hair also looks gorgeous x
So sorry you haven’t been feeling well. Feel better sweet girl. Book shopping is fun whether online or in the stores. I like shopping wherever there are books. Are you able to buy from thrift books are from better world books. They have good prices. I just finished both Henry winkler and Pamela Anderson memoirs. Ok reads. Both 3 stars.
Thank you so much! 🥰 Not at all, I just use my iPhone 12 Pro Max to record. It really is a great camera and the mic is brilliant too. I sometimes use a Bluetooth mic which is from the brand Boya. Just grabbed it from Amazon. Awww sending you so much love back. Thank you 🫶🏾
This was so fun to watch! Also, if you can get the accompanying audiobook to Educated from your library I think it would be great. Same for Daisy Jones, seriously one of the best narrated books I’ve ever listened to.
Ohh, I just put in an order from WOB yesterday as well! I discovered them this year and really like them so far. Daisy Jones and the Six is one of my favorite books of the last few years. The format is very original and well-executed. I hope you'll like it! When you read the synopsis for The Women Could Fly I immediately added it to my TBR. I'm a simple girlie; I hear Octavia Butler, Margaret Atwood and Shirley Jackson in one sentence and I'll read it 😂 and I just wanted to say: lots of people on YT take some time off at the end of the year because it is already so taxing with the holidays and everything, so please don't overexert yourself if you feel it is getting too much. I know you just started your channel and maybe you feel like you need to keep putting out content because of that, but do take that time off if you feel you need it. Many of your followers are also chronically ill or at least are decent enough people that they understand the effect illness has on one's life, so we'll understand!
I love this format!! This is the first time I see an online bookshopping video and it´s equally enjoyable 🥰 l listened to the audiobook for cultish this summer and I liked it more than I expected considering I am not a huge fan of nonfiction 😹! It is obviously not an extensively researched academic paper or textbook and relies quite a bit on the author's personal experience but it made me think about all the cult-ish stuff that surrounds us and I honestly relate to some of the things she mentioned! It was an entertaining and easy-to-get-through and I am planning to get it in physical if I manage to find it here in Spain! Magnolia Parks, Educated and Honey&Spice are on my wishlist so I am eager to see your thoughts 💕
Ahh thank you!! 🥰 It's nice to be in a space where people understand. Apart from one of my close friends, everyone in my life is able and active (like I used to be) so it can get quite lonely, especially when people don't understand how isolating it can be to be home most of the time. 💗
LOVED this video - felt like shopping with a friend 💕 I read RED RISING a few years ago and I gave it 3 stars, but I feel like perhaps I wasn’t in the right headspace for it, so maybe I’ll pick it up again sometime in 2024 😁
Aww that's cute! Thank you Oh that's interesting!! Yeah it could be that, but it may not have been for you! I can't wait to give it a read, it's a little different for me. ☺️
That was so much fun! Red Rising is amazing. I tried Magnolia Parks, but maybe wasn’t in the mood..so will try again. I just put The Girls on my TBR. It seems to be about The Manson Cult in California during the late 60’s.
With Magnolia Parks, I'm having second thoughts now because it's pretty popular book on TikTok and I usually don't get on with BookTok books, 😂 this could be different though? I'd never heard of the Manson Cult until coming across this book. It sounds very sinister. 😬
Omg, they terrorized L.A. and Hollywood in summer of ‘69 and went on a murder spree. Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi is a great book about what happened. It’s pretty gruesome what they did.
Hey Nickelle! I have been enjoying your videos lately. Your voice is so soothing and heartwarming 🥰 would you mind if I ask you which font you’re using on your thumbnails? And happy new year! 🌿
Thank you so much!! Haha it always amazes when people say that, I think I have an annoying voice 😂 Yeah of course, it’s called “LazyDog” and I use Canva to do my thumbnails. Hope you have a happy new year 🥳
Congratulations on your amazing success! I have to admit to being a tad jealous 😅. My daughter and I started our channel about the same time you started yours and we’ve managed a whole 21 subscribers 😂. Love your videos though and your on camera presence. Congratulations again on your success and making it onto Library of a Viking’s video!
I know!! Couldn't believe it when I found out. Absolutley gutted! I completley forgot about The Works. I did say to someone else in the comments that I may return the Waterstones copy for a refund and buy it again at The Works, £7.50 is quite the saving and it's more money for boooks! 👀😂
Red Rising is amazing! Great science fiction book that read like a fantasy, but beware it's a super intense read. I put it down at the 30 page mark for weeks because I knew it was about to be intense and I wasn't ready for it, but when I went back to it DAMN was great. One of my 5 star reads from last year. And you're not an idiot lol. It makes sense the paperbacks are still preorder since hardcovers come out first, and you wanted the cheaper option so since that's what you were looking at, logical conclusion.
I also recently got red rising and i can't wait to read it It's gonna be my first scifi book Hope your books get delivered in good condition i got some new books from a dutch store and they were in horrible condition so sad to see books go to waste...
Great video and even better bargain hunting. You managed to get so many books for £50, it’s so nice to treat yourself and even better when u can do it within a budget. Charity shop vlogging sounds amazing whenever u get a chance. Hope u feel a bit better soon. Merry Christmas, 🎄 Take care and god bless. From Sarah
Haha love a good bargain! Yeah I definitely would love to do this again, but in charity shops, I got a book a couple of months ago for 30p in the charity shop! Also I found Michelle Obama's memoir for a £1 and I'm still kicking myself now for not buying it! Thank you ☺️ Merry Christmas to you too! 🎄
Oooh! Excited to hear what you think about Cultish. I listened to her interview on Jamila Jamils podcast a while back and it's been on my TBR since. Currently reading Boy Parts by Eliza Clark who wrote Penance and I'm LOVING it. Will definitely read Penance. Also loved Daisy Jones - I did the audible version and it was so well done, not sure if I would have liked it quite as much if I actually read it hehe. I want Sex Cult Nun just from the name. The Handmaids Tale and The Testaments are 2 of my favourite ever books. It will feed your dystopian, cultish, feminist needs ❤
Oooh I'll have to listen to that podcast! Oh yes, I've heard Boy Parts is good as well. Yeah I did think the audio version might be better, but decided to go with the book instead. Uggggghhhhh this is EXACTLY what I want! 🙌🏾
@@NickellesNook I'm sure reading Daisy Jones will be just as great! I love how you can experience the same story so differently! Can't wait for your updates on these 😍
I know right?! It doesn't make any sense at all. It seems so good just from the summary. I really wish I bought it now, because I can't stop thinking about it. I may have to do another order 👀
Oooh amazing! Let me know how it goes! I’m looking forward to reading it. And noo, it’s been on my TBR for ages, I think I need to pick it up next time I go shopping. 💗 Wow, it must be a pretty amazing book. Tbf I’ve heard nothing but good things.
It really is worth the hype. I've recommended it to lots of friends who have different reading tastes and everyone has enjoyed it! I hope you enjoy your new reads, loved the video today @@NickellesNook 🧡
Educated is one of those books I feel like should be required reading. I live in a neighboring state so knew about some of the historical events Tara references in the book, and am aware of the community her family came from. It was a hard read but so so worth it.
I was quite bored reading educated, only the last third I found more interesting, but overall the writing was not good for me, and it was really not an enjoyable reading. And sometimes I was really wondering if all the family events that Taha talks about really happened because some of them really seem too much…
World of Books has some silly pricing, I think they look at asking prices on eBay as I have noticed a correlation. I know how you feel fatigue wise I have Fibromyalgia. If I am having a major flare I can’t even read as it makes it worse….on a good day though reading is my passion I have worked about 13 years in public libraries (now only casually now and again) and would hate to lose the ability to work there completely Happy Reading X
This was a cool video. Liked that you took a chance and did it ❤. Btw I finished "Get a Life Chloe Brown" and Liked it!! So I read the other 2 books as well😊!!!
Not sure if read The Final Revival of Opal and Nev but if you end up liking Daisy Jones and The Six you might like it more. Also, highly suggest the audiobook.
Hey I hope you’re feeling better! I don’t know if you’ve ever used it but Abebooks is a good alternative to WOB if you can’t find a cheap version there 😊

Oh thank you so much 🥹
Yeah I’m definitely taking a break from uploading/filming to focus on my health and wellbeing ❤️
Like this idea of shopping! Hope you get your energy back soon ❤
I love this format!! This is the first time I see an online bookshopping video and it´s equally enjoyable 🥰
l listened to the audiobook for cultish this summer and I liked it more than I expected considering I am not a huge fan of nonfiction 😹!
Cozy-iest video as always!! 🫶🫶
You are so lovely! I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and mostly homebound myself, and I'm loving the vibe of your channel. ☺️
Ahh thank you!! 🥰 It's nice to be in a space where people understand. Apart from one of my close friends, everyone in my life is able and active (like I used to be) so it can get quite lonely, especially when people don't understand how isolating it can be to be home most of the time. 💗
LOVED this video - felt like shopping with a friend 💕
I read RED RISING a few years ago and I gave it 3 stars, but I feel like perhaps I wasn’t in the right headspace for it, so maybe I’ll pick it up again sometime in 2024 😁
Aww that's cute! Thank you
Oh that's interesting!! Yeah it could be that, but it may not have been for you! I can't wait to give it a read, it's a little different for me. ☺️
Enjoyed this video. Daisy Jones & Educated are both a good read. Enjoy
Educated is one of my top 5 best reads this year.
You have such a lovely vibe and energy!💕
Just checked my library for Educated & they're all on hold or out - it sounds amazing but sounds extremely popular!
Loved this video ideaaaaa and omg you’re so good at staying on budget 😲❤️
Excited to see the unboxing 💕
Hahaha I really tried hard to stay on budget 😅 it's never usually this easy, I can assure you that 😂
Hey Nickelle! I have been enjoying your videos lately. Your voice is so soothing and heartwarming 🥰 would you mind if I ask you which font you’re using on your thumbnails? And happy new year! 🌿
Thank you so much!! Haha it always amazes when people say that, I think I have an annoying voice 😂
Yeah of course, it’s called “LazyDog” and I use Canva to do my thumbnails.
Hope you have a happy new year 🥳
The red rising books get better as you go through the series 😊
I bet!!! I remember you talking about it in one of your videos! I'm excited to read. 🥰
Oooh, I can't wait to hear what you think of Daisy Jones and the Girls
Congratulations on your amazing success! I have to admit to being a tad jealous 😅. My daughter and I started our channel about the same time you started yours and we’ve managed a whole 21 subscribers 😂. Love your videos though and your on camera presence. Congratulations again on your success and making it onto Library of a Viking’s video!
Nailed it once again! Can't wait for the unboxing! ;)
Honey and spice is in the works as part of 3 for £6
I know!! Couldn't believe it when I found out. Absolutley gutted! I completley forgot about The Works. I did say to someone else in the comments that I may return the Waterstones copy for a refund and buy it again at The Works, £7.50 is quite the saving and it's more money for boooks! 👀😂
Really enjoyed this idea!! Hope you rest up well and recharge~
Thank you 🥰
Red Rising is amazing!
Ooooooh! You're making me really excited to read it now!! Can't wait!
Haha you're sweet! I just love to be hard on myself at times haha
I also recently got red rising and i can't wait to read it
It's gonna be my first scifi book
Hope your books get delivered in good condition i got some new books from a dutch store and they were in horrible condition so sad to see books go to waste...
Thank you ☺️
Merry Christmas to you too! 🎄
I love to see you buying second hand books. I wonder if there is something like this in Denmark where I live ☺️
Can't wait for your updates on these 😍
Enjoyed watching book shopping online 📚 hope you feel better 💞I recommend Daisy darker by Alice feeney 🎄📚🎄
Thank you!!
Ooh amazing, I'll check it out! Thanks for the recommendation 💕
Some of those WOB prices 😨 They’re like half the price of you buy them new!
Hope you enjoy Empire of Pain - it’s fantastic.
I know right?! It doesn't make any sense at all.
It seems so good just from the summary. I really wish I bought it now, because I can't stop thinking about it. I may have to do another order 👀
I love a good second hand book! 🥰
Ugh saaame! I’m also way too broke to buy brand new books all of the time 🙈
@@NickellesNook 😂😂 the cozzie livs said absolutely not lol
I'm just starting Daisy Jones & The Six. Have you read the 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo? It's one of my top 5 all time reads
Oooh amazing! Let me know how it goes! I’m looking forward to reading it.
And noo, it’s been on my TBR for ages, I think I need to pick it up next time I go shopping. 💗
Wow, it must be a pretty amazing book. Tbf I’ve heard nothing but good things.
It really is worth the hype. I've recommended it to lots of friends who have different reading tastes and everyone has enjoyed it! I hope you enjoy your new reads, loved the video today @@NickellesNook 🧡
Same it was amazing!
Fun video. You are a natural. 🌹
And sometimes I was really wondering if all the family events that Taha talks about really happened because some of them really seem too much…
Oh wow!! It's highly rated then. I'm interested to read it!
That's super interesting as I've heard all but good things, but I guess that's why we love books, no two experiences are the same. 💗
@@NickellesNook yes, me too, and yes, of course we cannot like the same books and this is what is interesting
I love this! Also my office is also green with plants and salt lamps. Aesthetic twins?
Haha TWINNIES!!! 🙌🏾
We love a SALE 🥹
World of Books has some silly pricing, I think they look at asking prices on eBay as I have noticed a correlation.
I know how you feel fatigue wise I have Fibromyalgia. If I am having a major flare I can’t even read as it makes it worse….on a good day though reading is my passion
I have worked about 13 years in public libraries (now only casually now and again) and would hate to lose the ability to work there completely
Happy Reading X
This was a cool video. Liked that you took a chance and did it ❤. Btw I finished "Get a Life Chloe Brown" and Liked it!! So I read the other 2 books as well😊!!!
Oh wow! I'm glad you liked it! I think i'll try again with the Brown sisters in the future as I heard the other books are much better. 💗
@@NickellesNook My favorite was book #2
They Call Her Sofia by Doris Ladino is a feel good fun read. I’m sure you’ll love it 😊
Not sure if read The Final Revival of Opal and Nev but if you end up liking Daisy Jones and The Six you might like it more. Also, highly suggest the audiobook.
So convenient
Hey I hope you’re feeling better! I don’t know if you’ve ever used it but Abebooks is a good alternative to WOB if you can’t find a cheap version there 😊
Ooooh never heard of Abebooks, thank you for recommending!
👋❤️
Educated is an excellent book
