That skateboard livery is awesome! The Powell Peralta sticker brought back some good memories. Awesome video!
I remember the Skate Shop near us used to hand out stickers, I think that’s why it was so busy, as no one could afford to buy anything from them, this also reminds me of playing Tony Hawks 2 to death on the original PlayStation! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed 👍

I must admit I’ve been curious about those American Camps they go to in films, but I believe they cost a fortune. I think I’ll just send him to his Grandmas instead, it’s free 🤣😂👍

I think a street test is needed, the sand did keep the speed down so it would be good to give it some beans 🤔👍

I had the holiday buggy and my mate had the sand rover , both upgraded to the 540 silver can with 7.2 battery.
From memory I think the chassis broke where the front shocks were mounted.

DT-02!! Tough buggy, my Sand Rover is a good 10+ years old, and still one of my favorites.
Any hop-ups would you recommend?

@@RCsoandso Carsen all terrain buggy tyres/rim set. Aside from the usual motor and shock upgrades you may desire.

Hey good work on the body. I guess the real test of the paint will be it you land it upside down on some tarmac. One top tip to keep the sand out of these is to use a Sand Viper body under the Holiday Buggy body to act as a dirt guard. You do need to trim it a bit. Anyway top work as ever guys 😁👍👍
I am sure it will have a few tumbles, but that adds character, look at lunchbox shells, also I think the guaranteed way to keep sand out is to avoid the beach 🤣😂👍

Currently we are confident it’s been nailed on well, but we’ll see what happens with the odd roll and crash 🤣😂👍
Looks cool and I love the them of it! I am glad it ended up at the beach as the Cali beach buggy needed some sand to romp around in!!! I think the body is not bad to paint I just think it is difficult to keep the paint on it in the long run. Fingers crosses it stays on as I like the bright orange!!
I’m sure it’s been lacquered within an inch of its life, I will keep showing videos but at this point we are confident! 🤔👍

Nice!, it would be nice to possibly have an update video a few months to year later to see how well the paint holds up, that might determine my decision of possibly getting this model

I painted a polypropylene body for my scx6 i did the flame treatment it was a hassle your way looks much easier
I’ve seen using flames does magical things on chemical level, but it’s knowing when to stop, I think if we tried it then we will have a melted body 🤣😂😂👍
It’s easy to do .when the sanded surface goes back to a shiney surface that’s enough heat treatment sand again then paint
I'm running a surpass hobby 17.5t in mine with the 17t pinion (19t overheats the motor) and it's extremely fast with the hobbywing 1060.

Upgrade shocks to the plastic cvas if you put something faster in.
That sounds awesome and I do think shocks are high on the list to upgrade, I don’t think we are happy with the GT Tuned motor currently 👍

I'm doing a convertible, which will be driven by Mr Hanky the speed run poo (who was our mascot in the poor boys rc speed challenge last year)

Hope you are going to paint it, although you may know this already but the reason Mercedes racing colour is silver, comes from it used to be white, but they determined that the lead in the white paint added a few fractions of seconds to the performance time so they stripped all the paint of and ran them just with the metal. Things you do for speed 🤔😂👍

But yeah that's the idea with the holiday buggy -
No hard plastic roof, no spot lights, no cockpit, no jerry cans on the side, and limited decals..... hopefully saving a bit of weight and making it more aerodynamic!
Then we go and add a heavy poo driver..... go figure! 🤷♂️ 🙄
Still, it should be a bit of laugh anyway! 💩 😂

I have a 17 turn radon motor with some timing on mine. And oil filled dampers.
I think Dampers are a must change with this
Huge fan of the DT-02, although they really need oil dampers. I have stayed away from the holiday buggy because of the body...why can't they just make a lexan one? Or make it out of the same plastic as the lunchbox...gggggrrrrrrr Tamiya!!!
Tamiya love to throw a spanner in the works on occasion, with luck the orange will stay and not flake, but we will test it as much as we can! 👍
My GT tuneds are on my hornet and super storm dragon witch I had a ugt tuned motor on it.
It did well in the Blitzer but we are testing different variations 👍
Looks great.Ive followed the same painting process,and it looks good,but does cracks when bent.Hope yours doesn't mate.
I’m sure this will have plenty of impacts, and we will report any crack or mishap with the paint, at the moment it’s looking positive 🤞👍
