i cant answer what schedule pipe he has turned into that wonderful scabbard....but i have worked with a lot of PVC and i cant imagine trying to heat and shape the schedule 80... i have a machete sheath to make for a friend & i am going to try using the thin-wall schedule 40. its also cheaper to buy.... !!!!!
I like it!!! Thanks for the video. I love the utility of a pvc sheath but the usually look bad. That looks almost as good as and maybe better than leather only impervious to water and more durable.
I really hope that you had lots of ventilation and a good respirator. When you heat PVC pipe enough that it turns black, you are releasing Chlorine gas- which can kill you. The finished sheath looks pretty cool.
yup. ventilation and respirator is a must when playing with burning pvc. to be more safe, better do it outdoor. and u are right. the smoke from pvc is too toxic. thanks bro

Thank you for the video! Never knew a blow torch on pvc gave such an effect. It looks like leather. Really appreciate the lesson here.😊
It's amazing how you turn a plastic pipe into such a beautiful sheath.(:
Thanks sir 😁
When you can't afford Alligator leather, but you have scraps from a plumbing job.
Is a torch necessary for forming the PVC, or did you just need it for the design look? I have a heat gun. Is that sufficient?
Great job sir! That came out beautifully
Remarkable! All of your projects are truly unique! Ty for making me a better knife maker!
Thanks bro.
Cómo todo trabajo que haces con mucha dedicación. Transformar materiales reusables, lo mejor de todo. Gran trabajo

An inspiring origanal job 👍❤️🔥

Great idea, I've used black poly for sheaths, might give this a go
Thanks. But never use black poly pipe. It will melt if u burn it
Wonderful ❤
