    The worst thing about the overturned call at Texas isn't so much "setting a precedent" in regard to the fan behavior, it's that the refs violated protocol by unofficially reviewing a non-reviewable play on the jumbotron. That's the thing the SEC letter didn't address; they acted like the refs just got together and picked up the flag like normal. You can't throw a flag, announce the penalty to the crowd, set the ball and have the teams lining up for the next snap, and THEN overturn a non-reviewable play because you saw it on the jumbotron.

      @champion6919 I would hope the one thing all fans could agree on, regardless of who you're rooting for, is that the officials, at the very least, should follow a consistent protocol. Mistakes will be made, bad calls will happen, but the refs have to be held accountable if they blatantly violate proper procedure.

    • @champion6919
      @champion6919 2 месяца назад +3

      @@alexanderfedderly the right call was made. Texas has had to deal with bad officiating for so many years since they announced the exodus from the Big 12 and now the SEC officiating has forgotten we're an SEC team too. Texas fan here and congrats to the Dawgs for not only a game well-played, but a game superbly coached. Clearly, Georgia's defensive line just 'owned' our offensive line, but I do think Texas did do better defensively by holding Georgia to 285 total yards of offense, understanding that Texas gave the Dawgs a short field on several of their scores. Joe Klatt… sometimes it’s hard to believe that you’ve actually played quarterback and was a three-year starter at Colorado. Yes, Georgia’s offense looked abysmal, Kirby always makes the offense play in relation to how the defense is playing. He really condenses the playbook and makes everything very vanilla and simple once he feels like that the defense is keeping another teams offense at bay. Texas would’ve jumped on Georgia and got a few touchdowns. You would’ve seen completely different offense opened up.
    Also, you guys are so hypocritical you guys were really trashing Georgia last week and don’t even remember or realize it. I see you do this with a lot of teams not coached by coaches, teams or geograpic areas you perfer. You’re a really big fan of West Coast teams, and typically dog out the southern teams. I said the other day….is it possible, just possible that Lincoln Riley is just slightly, just slightly overrated….now don’t get me wrong he’s produced 3 heisman trophy winners and he definitely knows offense….but let’s remember, when he coached at Oklahoma it was at a time when the Big 12 wasn’t all that great realistically, Texas had a few good seasons but mostly was down or mediocre at best, then he goes to USC and has the 1 great year where Williams wins the heisman and last year the PAC 12 wasn’t the best conference and USC goes 4-8 I think….so isn’t it fair to criticize Riley just a little?
