The worst thing about the overturned call at Texas isn't so much "setting a precedent" in regard to the fan behavior, it's that the refs violated protocol by unofficially reviewing a non-reviewable play on the jumbotron. That's the thing the SEC letter didn't address; they acted like the refs just got together and picked up the flag like normal. You can't throw a flag, announce the penalty to the crowd, set the ball and have the teams lining up for the next snap, and THEN overturn a non-reviewable play because you saw it on the jumbotron.
@champion6919 I would hope the one thing all fans could agree on, regardless of who you're rooting for, is that the officials, at the very least, should follow a consistent protocol. I think the description meant "23 unanswered second-quarter points," even if the first seven of those points were scored with six seconds left in the first quarter. Texas outscored Georgia 15-7 in the second half.
The NFL made pass interference for reviewable for a year, and how’d that work out? The refs almost never overturned their bad calls and the NFL got rid of the rule. A “universal” challenge won’t work unless it’s reviewed by someone separate from the referee crew.

@@blackout07blue nope Texas has great coaching staff
I would be very happy to have Lincoln Riley back in Norman as OC.
The lose big to lose small to win small to win big theory doesn't work for USC...
Lincoln Riley's first season: 11-3
Second season: 8-5
This season: 3-4 so far
He's going the wrong way.
It’s crazy how many Texas fans I’ve seen give up on us already. Guys, we played arguably the best team in the country and we didn’t play our best game. We fix some mistakes and keep moving and we’ll be fine. I wondered why people hate Texas and Texas fans, but I’ve found out more about us as fans this season than any other
you must not be that old lol, Texas, Miami, USC fans are the worst! they melt down and lose it more then any other fanbase
Texas defense was legit.
As a Texas fan, I’m sticking with them til the end. We just ran into a good Georgia team. It was mainly offense that was the problem. Defense did everything they needed to do. Vandy is our bounce back game and plus we haven’t seen a schedule that will help us
I have not seen a single Texas fan as you've described. Not one.
@@drew7155 it’s mainly the bandwagon fans
A defense that gives up 23 points in the first half, and then you say Texas's defense was strong. Stop with the narrative that Texas is good,
Watch the game not the scoring summary
@@FieldEmperor , I watched the game. I watched Georgia go on an 89-yard 11-play drive in the third quarter to take even more control of the game.
@@shawntaylor817lol. Georgia went conservative because their QB was throwing bad passes to the wrong team when his players weren’t dropping passes.
They the best duo
To say Georgia dominated Texas in the second half feels a little weird since Texas outscored them by 8. They definitely dominated the first half but the second half just felt like they wanted to chew clock
They only outscored them by eight because of the bottle gate! lol
@@JC-sm2in because the falg was picked up and the correct call was made. People act like it was a simple pi call that didn't simultaneously take off a pick 6 (essentially)
Georgia’s defense dominated for all 4 quarters.
@@Kingepticon yea Georgia dominated the game because they dominated the first half but it doesn’t say they dominated the game. It specifically says second half, but they outscored by 8 after halftime. I don’t think it really mattered at that point anyways but if you’re outscored, you didn’t dominate in the half. I’m only commenting on the title btw
Georgia scored in the 4th quarter with about 13 minutes left on the clock. Texas never scored again. That’s in addition to not scoring in the 1st 2 quarters. That’s domination bud!
“Antiquated” is the term the goat calls OSU pass rush
Nobody giving Georgia any props like usual
what are you talking about being AP #2 is not good enough for you
@@8bitbanana the narrative that it was more about Texas losing than Georgia getting in that mufuggin arse!!
Exactly. As if Texas simply made mistakes and would do much better in a rematch. A rematch not at home, no cheating refs, and a Ga offense that won’t throw 3 picks and no TDs. Right…
@@8bitbanananope.
Exactly instead of saying “Georgia’s defense mauled Texas’ offense” they say “Texas made too many mistakes and Georgia’s offense didn’t do anything”. If the roles were reversed ESPN and Fox would’ve crown Texas national champs already.
Michigan should hire Joel Klatt immediately
Hold up I thought Colin said Texas couldn’t lose because ibm and Tesla are located in Austin…?
I use to work for IBM in Austin. Colin said IBM's headquarters is in Austin. Someone needs to tell Colin IBM's HQ is in New York.
Here we go again, talking about Colorado. Unless you live in Colorado, nobody cares. Colin and Joel talk more about Colorado than the Miami Hurricanes that are 6-0 and also have a pretty good QB in Cameron Ward.
They talk about usc every week too, and they are doing far worse than Colorado.
I went to Arizona and have watched every snap of football they have played. They are absolutely atrocious. They have one of the worst coaching staffs in the Power 4 and like 7 of their best players are hurt. That was not a good win in any way, shape, or form for Colorado. Colorado has played 2 good to average teams, K State and Nebraska, and lost to both. They play in a very weak Big12 and don't have to play Iowa St or BYU. Colorado is an average football team and the national media will keep talking about them every week. It is nauseating
Klatt went to Colorado and held many QB records and that program right now is interesting to talk about.
@@travisoshea I know he played for Colorado but that has nothing to do with the team today. They have already lost 2 games and would get crushed by any team in the top 10, so what makes them so interesting? I don't get it. I find Indiana and Miami more interesting with a combined record of 14-0. That's who I find interesting.
@@georgehenan853 I agree but it's Colin's show and he's enamored with USC. It's annoying as well but USC does have a storied history. It's better for college football if USC is good; Colorado doesn't have a storied history. The USC marching band has a more storied history than Colorado football.
The Klattster!!!
I think the description meant "23 unanswered second-quarter points," even if the first seven of those points were scored with six seconds left in the first quarter. Texas outscored Georgia 15-7 in the second half.
Lol. Georgia went conservative after they got a 23 point lead. Texas U was deer-in-headlights.
Why can they admit that Georgia’s coaching caused the egregious mistakes that Texas made?
Urban made the Buckeyes tough. That’s what’s lacking
The NFL made pass interference for reviewable for a year, and how’d that work out? The refs almost never overturned their bad calls and the NFL got rid of the rule. A “universal” challenge won’t work unless it’s reviewed by someone separate from the referee crew.
You know Colorado isn't actually good, when your big statement is, "they dominated Arizona and UCF"
Clay Helton was 25-9 in the first 34 games at USC.
Lincoln Riley is 22-12.
That was Sark's 1st year this is year 3 for Riley
The panic was when sark put Quinn back in
