DMV Winter 2023-2024 Outlook: Why we're expecting more snow, chance for blizzards in DC this winter

With a potentially strong El Niño in play for the 2023-2024 winter season, we're forecasting more snow than an average winter for the Washington D.C. metro, Northern Virginia and Maryland.

Late last year, I considered buying s snow blower, and I'm glad I didn't since it never actually snowed around here. The coldest it got was 10 degrees on Christmas Eve, and the rest of the winter had above average temperatures.

Totally different than almost every major forecast i've seen..........most have us 1-2 degrees cooler with over 30 inches for the season..........up to 3 nor'easters predicted, some have up to 10 snow events in the mid-Atlantic.

I don't care for snow my wife wants it to snow across the whole State of Florida, damn she misses Wisconsin and wants to move back, not me! What am I to do? I suggested trips back but that's not good enough, she wants to live near her family again. Not me, don't miss her brother whining about his job, life, everything!
