    My great grand dad came from Fondo. My wife's grand moms and dads all came from Germany. Nice job on the mods on the 400. We have one too but havn't had the need for any mods. I tow it with a full size truck and pack the truck and leave the camper kinda empty.

    Fabulous information. We are new Tab 400 owners, so new, we do not even have it yet. Dealer says another couple of weeks. This has given us a “heads up” on improvements we should make right away. Thank you so much for sharing this information. Happy travels to you both.

    Love the flags. I was born in Lindau but lived in Munich as a youngster. My Bavarian roots run deep. Prosit.

      It is nice to be a Preiss but it is higher to be a Bayer! Thank you Rein Loeffl.

    Thanks for the video. I keep questioning if my Jeep Wrangler will tow a TAB 400 and your Mercedes looks like it has the same towing capacity!

    Nice modifications. We are thinking of doing that hose storage compartment. 👍#31

    Just watched your video and really enjoyed all the useful info and tips. My wife and I are taking possession of our 2022 T@b 400 Boondock at the end of August. I was wondering if you use mirror extensions to get a good view of your T@b 400 when traveling? My tow vehicle is a Mercedes ML350 Bluetec, and I was wondering if I needed mirror extensions? Your pups are so cute! Excellent content! Keep up the good work:)

      Hello Sciroccs, Thank you for your feedback, very appreciated. We do not use mirror extensions. Mirror extensions are definitely a safety plus, I just don't like them and so far it works for us. All the best for you and your new T@B400. Welcome to the club and Happy Camping!!!

    My wife and I also own a 2021 Tab 400 BD, and very much enjoy your channel. We are interested in the towing capacity of your towing vehicle, if you considered a weight distribution hitch as well as your anti- sway bar, and any loading tips to keep your tow vehicle’s rear springs from sagging due to the tongue weight of your trailer and the cargo carried in the rear of your Mercedes. Your tow vehicle and tow look level in your videos, and we’re curious how you managed that. This might be an interesting subject for a future video - please. Thank you for your fine channel on RUclips.

      Hello Paul, Thank you so much for you comment and for following us.
      The GLK350 has a towing capacity of 3500lbs. We are aware that we are pushing it with the TAB400 at a dry weight of 2900lbs. That technically leaves only room for another 600lbs of stuff.
      We are trying to be very lean when we travel, only bringing along the things we really need. And if we find out that we are not using certain items then they have to go. The TV and the Microwave for example.
      The cargo on the GLK is about 60lbs, chairs, a folding table, a carpet and the camp-chef stove. Yes, it is sagging but not too bad. A Toyota Tundra or a Tacoma would be our preferred choice but as long as the old Mercedes is running we will drive it.
      We will definitely make a video regarding inside and outside equipment that we take along, including info on how/where we store things while driving. Stay tuned.
      Happy camping and lots of fun with your T@B.

    Great video.! We own a 2022 Tab 400 BD. What are you using to store and secure the two small propane cylinders?

    We are having trouble finding a consensus between varying top-of-ball vs top-of-mount measurements for the 2021 T@B 400. Our dealer told us the top-of-ball height of our receiver needs to be 21" for the 2021 T@B 400 boondock. Most 2" balls are 2.5-2.9 inches tall from the hitch receiver's mounting surface. If your video has the necessary mount surface height at 19", then that would put the top-of-ball height closer to 22". How accurate do we need to be in our estimate to determine what size receiver to buy? What is your top-of-ball height so we may be able to draw a more apples to apples comparison?

    Thanks for all the great information on your modifications! I was wondering if you had any information on the real world tongue weight of your fully loaded 2021 T@B 400 Boondock? I know that NuCamp has the factory tongue weights listed in their specs, but I'm not sure how much it increases in a real world scenario once everything is fully loaded. I'm looking at the possibility of towing with a Toyota Highlander that has a max tongue weight of 500 lbs. Thanks for the great content you're providing to the T@B 400 community!

      Hi Ben, Thank you for your comment. We were watching so many T@B400 youtubes before we bought ours and we are so thankful to be part of the community.
      We recently checked our tongue weight with a bathroom scale and we came in at 330 lbs. Please check out the video from Old Coot Camper: ruclips.net/video/E7YmBQAwyBE/видео.html He was not happy with the Highlander as a towing vehicle. Good luck and thanks again.

    Doesn't your t@b have a sewer hose storage compartment at the back of the t@b on the driver's side?

    • @teardropjourneys1485
      @teardropjourneys1485  3 года назад

      Hello, I think NuCamp changed the compartment design in the back for the 2021 model year and therefore eliminated the sewer hose storage. That's why we have to store the hoses inside the trailer tongue.

  • @MaryOKC
    @MaryOKC 3 года назад

    Yeah…it would just keep going off that alarm until you get back … I don’t think the design was very smart at all! I have the tab2022/400. And how to lock up the Diamond box as well….another issue. I like where you stored the sewer hoses and I will be making that modification on my Lilly Belle. 😂
