As a non english speaker who struggles to understand what other singers are saying, I'm amazed I can understand every single word she says! Could literally listen to her sing all day!

For Gigi starters, ☺ who heard her for the first time should really start with THROUGH THE FIRE here then BETTER DAYS, FLY ME TO THE MOON and so on. Many of her followers here would tell you how good she is but it's up to you to discover more from her and experience what we already knew all this time.
Wow. GiGi’s voice, her tone, is so beautiful and what can she not do? She clearly has worked on both her chest and head voice and the blending of the two seems effortless. The word “may” at 11:40? We could talk a while about that all by itself!

Flipping from chest to head voice while obliterating the transition is one technicality well studied and learned by most Filipino singers. Morisette Amon, Katrina Velarde, Regine Velasquez just to name a few.
Know nothing about technicalities, but aside from Gigi's amazing voice and band, she's got the attitude that made her so fun to watch.

Gigi and her band is currently in a sort of hiatus now. They need to rest after that car accident that happened, but thank goodness, they are all okay. Anyway, there's a lot of stuff that this girl just slayed and it was all uploaded in her channel. You might wanna check out her rendition of Unholy, Better Days and Butterfly (Mariah Carey). You'll see how her voice can do a lot of colors.

I've heard Gigi's tone described as crystal clear, silky, warm, smooth, smoky, sultry, sexy...all true. Not only does she sing gorgeously but she also performs every song with her entire being and shows off her acting prowess. Amazing how easily she can get into character. Gigi truly has a great voice control, pitch and tone perfection at its best. I too was in awe when i first heard her during the lock down. Watching her while you review her performance drew emotions out of me. Made me miss her even more. Wait till you hear her sings Frank Sinatra in a way that will blow your mind. She's an amazing talent with great vibes that backs her singing.

Jennifer! A day late! I tried to catch this during lunch today but got interrupted so I had to start over. Just as well, new artist for me and she's fun to listen to. Pretty, and tiny it looks like for all that vocal power to come from her! She has some nice lower notes too I noticed! Amazing stage presence as well. I love all the different things she does with her voice. I think I love her natural chest voice is the best. She has the power to not strain, but just hit the notes, and hold them with some vibrato to sound so beautiful. Her voice has a nice tone too. I agree with you that she blends her voice so smoothly, and when she hits notes so clearly, forget about it. There is something about Gigi that I cant figure out, other than she has the voice and the style of singing that is amazing.

Hi Jen, I suggested this video to you about a year ago , and the reason I did was I think these would be good songs for you to sing. . I think you would do really, really well singing either of these . I see these as being two of the better songs from that era. This girl is a contest winner from the Philippines and not a household word at all here in the states. She does a pretty decent job on both of these and her decision to do these two particular songs I think was excellent . Probably a management may have selected those for her cause I think those are winners. Also , her band back there look like HIgh school kids, but give them props . They look like Donnie and the Donuts, but they do a great job on these. The keyboard player has those 80's DX7 voices. I am a musician also, as you are, and they do a great job on this. They got the order wrong, you don't do a medley with the stronger song first, but other than that, pretty good, Thanks Jen We love you. oh regarding the order...and ive only watched a bunch of gigi covers, so my question was whether or not these were requests from her fans during her live, or if these were special episodes where it wasn't a request and they planned to sing it, so yes i'd agree with your ordering statement if so. :)
Start from the oldest to the latest. You will appreciate the significant improvements in their performance.
She doesn't miss, even when she does. There is a GG Vibes TV video where the band listen to this performance and give their commentary. I don't understand their language, but it kind of sounds like they find something to roast in just about every other phrase. They all laugh so much about it all that it is entertaining to watch even if you don't understand.

No one can replace Mowie for me, but Gigi comes the closest. Can't forget Kat and KZ either. These contemporary Filipina singers are insanely talented. And as you commented, they all sing with such joy, you can't help but be infected by their smiles and personalities. The Vibes are outstanding too, along with all of the other musicians that back up our favorite vocalists. For more Gigi, I would suggest "Fly Me to the Moon" and for a real change of pace, "Unholy".
