Very cool Doris - some of my favs there. Have an awesome day! 💥From Fun At Home (Hot Wheels, Lego, Cards & collectables)👍
Thank you 🤗
The Maori stamp is the 1.5 pence from the 1920 Victory set, it is a lovely stamp but only worth 10 or 20 cents, the only stamp you showed that could be worth something in good condition was the blue 6d airmail stamp, but it is used and has a large tear, so not worth anything much unfortunately, as is the Queen Victoria 1/2d used stamp. New Zealand stamps are amongst the most beautiful in the world in my opinion, especially the 1898 and 1935 pictorials. Thanks for showing nz stamps!
Thank you Brian.
Simon Bolivar was born in that bed, as it plainly states on the stamp in Spanish
good to see you pick up on the stamp's of rarely search great top video love those stamp's in your collection
Glad you like them!
The first stamp you showed was from 1895. It's not worth much but is quite rare. I've probably looked through a million stamps and never seen this. Congratulations!!!
+002DrEvil Thank you very much.I just love to hear when I have one in the 1800's.
It's not worth much AND it's not rare, sorry. I collect NZ postage stamps
I want all those stamps specially the Queen Victoria very nice and rare
That's an old video, but I'll find it my friend.
Ernesto Benchocron, Hello. I am a stamp collector my self and I'm sorry to say the Queen Victoria this person has isn't extremely rare, I have a couple and because it has a postal used mark on it that decreases the value to about 0.50 NZ cents. Any further questions, just click on the reply button. Yours sincerely, Benjamin
The symbol "D" denotes penny therefore 1D is one penny, the symbol "S" denotes shilling, these are old currency denominations before we changed to decimal currency. The face on the Victory stamp is a tattood Maori warrior, the stamp with Lake Wakatipu has a valuable varience when it was mistakenly spelled Wakitipu, hope this helps.
A very helpful comment. Thank you Lynette!
You are welcome, I am actually Lynettes husband Andy but using her account. I have a large collection of New Zealand stamps as that is where we live. I will pass on any other information I can. I thought it was a dying pastime but there still seems to be some interest around the world, Regards Andy
Well then thank you very much Andy. The world of stamp collecting is very strong and getting stronger as many are using it as an investment for retirement in today's market. They just had a ten day event in New York for philatelist from around the world to go see some of the most rare stamps of all times. Facebook has two great groups I belong to just for stamp collectors so stay with it Andy.
Good afternoon ma'am I have a stamps new Zealand from Philippines how much is it and I had also in other countries
Hi Doris you have some very old NZ stamps there, I have them in mint condition except Queen Victoria which I have used condition as minted are expensive to buy here. Your stamps here range from 1882 to 1940. You have most of the royal family there too, Queen Victoria who reigned from 1837 to 1901 & the black & white one you have is from 1882. Her son Edward became Edward VII in 1901 until his death in 1910 & I think you have him too in another video. You have his son George V who is our current queens Elizabeth II grandfather & her parents king George VI & queen Elizabeth are there too. Now the Victory stamp 1 1/2d is one of 7 stamps & were to commemorate the end of WWI a declaration of peace. The Maori warrior with his face tattooed. The pinkish stamp 1 penny is from 1900 & is a picture of the famous but no longer here of The Pink & White Terraces & not a field. This beautiful place was destroyed by a volcanic eruption from Mt Tarawera in 1886. I wish I could have seen them just once. Now I don’t have that stamp but I hope to soon. I love the old stamps you have from my country so much history & a story to tell.
Thank so much for all that history on my stamps. I appreciate it very much. Thanks Bruce!
Okay the bed in the stamp is because in that bed was born the Livertador Simon Bolivar the man make possible 5 countries of Suramerica was independent from Spain in several years of war from 1819 to 1827 until He freedom all those countries Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. so that bed simboly his born and is his hause made a museum. I think every stamps has his story
Very interesting history fact. Thanks for sharing!
Doris, hi 😃👍. The health stamps started when polio broke out in New Zealand in the early 20th century. The smaller amount went to help run the health camps around the country. They ran them in our country till around the late 80's / early nineties. Sadly, gone now and when we may eventually one-day need them again 😭.
Thank you so much Robert for that information.
Health stamps started in New Zealand in 11th December 1929 and ended in 2016[ i think this is the year].
Thank you Lol.
Finally found and packed!
