You mean to tell me that changing or editing meta description is not possible without a plugin? Why isn't this a setting in Wordpress? You are the only RUclipsr to mention this. The rest prattle on about proper length and language, but no mention about where to find the mofo. I don't think they know! Thank you Stewart.

When I changed the Stub it also changed the URL link for my page so the pages that were changed are now broken. Is there a way to change the stub and keep the same URL for the page?

That is odd! There might be a clash with another plugin or your theme.

Hey! You can add it in the SEO section. This is upto you. However, your page URL should be the same as the slug section.

It can take some time before the changes are indexed. To see changes sooner you can add those pages into your Google Search Console and quickly reindex those pages.

Hey Stewart, how long does It take for a Meta Description to be seen on Google? I tried editing my Meta Description but it seems not to be updating or does it take a few days for it to appear on Google? Please let me know thanks.
It can take a few days. You can also submit your page in the Google Search Console.

If you can fit two that is great. However, this depends on your keywords. Try and keep your title clean and compelling.

You can use other plugins. It's more complex if you do not use a plugin.

You do not have a page as a home page? Click on settings inside your WP dashboard, click reading, then select a static page and your allocated home page. Hit save. Let me know if that helps.

It can vary based on when Google crawls your pages again. I suggest submitting your pages into the GSC.
