Very interesting method of attack, with some even more interesting brush rigs. You don't see this out west. There also seems to be quite a surplus of manpower but I guess that just boils down to how populated the East Coast is. Good video.

I have a 1983 M923A0 with a 2,500 Gallon water tank on the back that had completely replaced the cargo bed when the truck was owned by a fire department,it is not built up or guarded like the M923A2 in this video. Two of my trucks however have bumper guards and cages surrounding the cab area. One is a 1970 M35A2,and the other is a 1971 M813A1 which has seen a very rough life and I'm in the process of repairing it to normal status. Two fire departments here in Texas have a M923A1 and M1078 LMTV that they use.I also spotted in this video that I saw what looks to be a M49A2.

Those ARE military heavy duty off road rigs. On the west coast you see a mix of those and Skidgines from the volunteer departments. Not as deeply armored against whipping branches though. way fewer crew since the population density does not support it inmost places west maybe 3 or 4 at most.

Jp Desilets The only time I can think it would be beneficial is in a burnover, but that situation is rare.

Some departments aren't rich enough to have both types of gear Bnadit Fleet. And you know as well as most, those on the ground are governed by policies they have no say in and are following dept. SOP's and by-laws. I'm sure they'd love to have the comfort, and not look like fools, of wild land gear. I'm sure their first thought when they don their gear is how foolish they'll look in your eyes.

Yes it is. Yikes? Not sure why you’d say yikes though.

@@LiHotShots Because the Confederate Flag was for the Confederacy. Long Island is in New York.

bg1379 that’s very true. Did you know that NY was going to secede to the confederate side at the out break of the civil war, but switched to the union side at the last moment? Also, the confederate flag is also considered the “Rebel Flag” and you don’t have to be a southerner to be a “Rebel” 😁😁 behindthescenes.nyhistory.org/when-new-york-wanted-to-secede/

WTF is the guy doing at 2:25? Cleanest nomex I’ve ever seen, shirt blowing in the wind, no fire pack on, no shelter.
