The Pretty Things meant a lot more to me than the Stones because they never sold out in any form. They were true to their roots even through their "psychedelic" period.

Agree 100%. I have more Pretty Things music in my collection (burned cds from lps and other cds) than any other band by far. Loved the early Stones till they dumbed it down around 1970. But my favorites are the Pretty Things, Kinks, and Beatles, though I could make a long boring list but I won't.

Have this, unopened still. The Pretty Things are THE band the Stones always wanted to be but never got near their abilities! I have that Bouquets From A Cloudy Sky collection as well.

This really takes me back. Great band. Huge contribution to music that never got the recognition deserved. The band I was in supported the Pretty Things at a gig in Lewes Town Hall in 1967. I was fifteen and it is a great and treasured memory. Thank you Pretty Things.

I had a three years secondment in London ages ago and one of the highlights was seeing The Pretty Things live in a club in 1999, I think the place was called Club 100, in the center of London. I remember the singer mentioning once or twice that his guitarist used to play with the Stones at the very beginning.

Why was Wally Waller excluded from this? He co-wrote half of Emotions with May, co-wrote SF Sorrow with Dick Taylor and May, and co-wrote and produced Parachutes. 🤔

This is a nice surprise! Is there any hope of the Electric Banana material getting a similar treatment?

Great albums and band. However despite playing LSD, Rosalyn and House in the Country....those are non-album singles not in the box?

Yep, - there was Mick... BUT what about DICK Taylor, the very first Stones guitarist? Because he was there with Keef I suppose. I played a bit with DICK in the cloakroom at Sidcup Art School. And he was (unlike Keef) generous enough to show us his stuff.
He was a GREAT blues player, and a lovely feller, and later he was with the Pretty Things. Thanks Dick if you ever read this, your great clawhammer blues fingerpicking has stood me in good stead for over half a century. Ta mate. Julian.

En los comienzos de The Stones, cuándo todavía no tocaban bajo ese nombre, Dick, amigo de Keith R. tocaba una especie de bajo primitivo y salió del grupo con la entrada de Bill que tenía un equipo profesional.
