@@eldersun5110 Not really. Most drummers have to LEARN the rhythm like anyone else, and that takes rigorous, constant practice and discipline. All that guy was saying is that Jarod has a natural knack for rhythm, and because of that he has somewhat of an advantage when learning new stuff.
It makes me happy to see Cali's work showing up in more and more places. She's incredibly talented, and even if you don't agree with me there, it's clear she puts in the time and the work. Same with 8bit here, some of that innate ability to find and lock into a beat is just natural finesse, but it's clear he's put a ton of time drumming, too.
I'd be really interested in him doing another Calli song- i know that Live Again has no swearing, ferrex. Also the amount of skill required in making a cover of that quality while you're hearing the song for the first time is mindblowing to me.

I love watching this man play for two reasons... The first is because he plays songs I like, and secondly because it just so much fun to watch him play. No matter what he's playing, you can see pure joy on his face and that's rare to come by.

I mean, in terms of time signature we're dealing with a straight 4/4. It's mostly the occasional 6 bar structure that throws people off.
