Ate raw chicken in Japan at a high end sushi restaurant a few years ago. It was really good. But I won't eat it here in Canada. I did get Salmonella a long while ago (over 20 yrs), and it was the worst. I'd rather die than go thru that again. Good luck not dying!

The only time it is remotely safe to do this is if the chicken was butchered locally, if it was organically farmed and the chickens were well spaced and cared for.
If any of these factors are questionable or you don't know, I wouldn't even attempt this.

the only problem is that he's gone and cooked his chicken and he was fine. It seems like he's in Europe rn so maybe it's ok to that there like he said. It clearly is in Japan too. BUT eating raw chicken in the UK or US would be so stupid. Unlike the other meats like beef, chicken has pathogens and parasites throughout that will hurt you when eaten raw. Beef only has parasites and and pathogens on the outside as it's too tough to get through. That's why cooking it rare is fine. This guy is lucky to be in the right place ngl.

i think it's different to eat raw foods in Japan and any other countries. i mean, in my country can't eat raw egg like in Japan. they sterilized the egg before sell it at the store so in Japan can eat raw egg safely. i think they do the same to raw chicken
