kudos to whoever was tuning Kai's drums on this tour. Every video I've seen of them live that year his drums have sounded so much better than the times I saw them in 2015 and 2018.

After the fill at 4:37 Kai takes a quick look at Tuomas as if he was thinking "damn, that wasn't too much, was it?" haha!

My god Kai holds back! Nightwish got an absolute phenomenal drummer to replace Jukka- but compared to his playing in Wintersun this is just a walk in the park...

Must be a challenge for an artist, to support another artists´creation and vision, enhancing it with own artistry, without alienating the initial message.

Go to Tommy Johansson's YT and listen to him when he sings covers on, among other things, abba qeen gary more and others. He sings like a god, plays all the instruments himself. Just quit Sabaton as a guitarist and also has his own band majestica. Fantastic person

Tää kanava on mahtava, mutta mun on pakko sanoa, että tykkään enemmän vanhemmista videoista, jossa ääntä oli käsitelty vähemmän.
Iso syy miks nää videot on ollu niin siistejä kattoa, on että pääsee kuulemaan miltä eri rumpaleiden setit kuulostaa oikeasti akustisena, eikä PA:n tai tyypillisen live-taltioinnin miksaus+masterointi-putken läpi prosessoituna.

Molemmissa on puolensa, ja myös artistilla on sananvaltaa asiassa, että millaista tehdään. Uskoisin, että molempia videoita tulee jatkossakin. Esim. uusi Portimo-video on mun oma äänitys, toki olen sitäkin käsittelyt, mutta ei ole mikään multi-track-miksaus.
Somehow these Nightwish songs just don't seem to take full advantage of the talent that the musicians have. Regardless I do enjoy Nightwish music alot.
You either love Kai or you hate him. He is so perfect in what he does that he divides the waters. It sounds very robotic and in my taste it loses the essence of live. too much HD 😂
I totally disagree. He plays so well that he is the reason I started listening Nightwish again after a long break. A drummer that really makes a difference. But he is a musician not such of a showman as Jukka was.
@@katilaine6866 Does nightwish make a difference? Haha! It couldn't be more limited. Have you heard it on whintetsun? Nightwish does not need a virtuoso drummer, you have to know how to accompany and exploit the epic of the symphony. and Jukka knew that very well. Still, I like Kai, it's excellent, but it deserves a band that takes advantage of it technically. Still... it's just an opinion. Keep enjoying it. I'm here in your video for a reason.
