Which one of these is it?
Seems accurate honestly
4:30 fun fact: The fire is still burning. And likely will for another 200 years. Centralia is in Columbia County (as may be obvious from the story) . i love it when SCP's incorporate real world events. A fire burning for hundreds of years seems SO FAR fetched that an urban legend about a giant fire sword wielding monster seems ALMOST reasonable.
I've always been interested in Centralia and seeing that it's also one of the 7 foundation sites is really cool.
I think everyone should see centralia at least once, too bad the state removed all of the graffiti and art on the road we use for racing and such.
@@appalachiabrauchfrau Not all of it! Just the vast majority due to the google maps images of it showed all the graffiti and it "reflected badly" on the local gov so they cleaned up the majority of it.
Years ago it was very interesting to walk through the town. I was able to visit it when people still lived there. Watching the town just get reclaimed by nature at such a quick pace is itself interesting too.
I think O Death is my favorite SCP. I wish there were more stories about it. Such an interesting concept. What if it wasn't even an entity? It was like an off switch of life
I think someone kill scp 049 or put him in 914 on fine
@@unknowunknown9096 there is actually a story on how 049 was put in 914 on Very Fine. It was renamed the Soul Stealer and could recreate the anomalous properties of other SCP's it defeated. It killed 096, 173, 106, 076, and others before dying to 343
It was an entity its confirmed by the author

*scp-3989*-"I can giva olives!"
O'Death is probably the scariest SCP that exists that isn't "When day breaks" Because it killed everything down to a cellular level and left no exceptions. The foundation only assumed that it was quite literally the specter of death itself but I can't help but wonder if it was something tangible like a Thanos finger snap but EVERYTHING dies.
The author himself confirms that this was an entity
SCP 682 was killed by it too I believe.
@@TrueLadyEvilChan i think 682 is constantly in a state of reviving and dyobg due to the power of its father
It's pretty much the only way to penetrate the scp-682 dummy thicc plot armour

Scp-3989: An orchid farm to a large dimension
The infinite IKEA: Finally, a worthy opponent!
I grew up about 10 miles from Centralia and SCP1179. Have to say, this is is the first time I've heard this story.
Definitely an interesting tale.
me, too, hello neighbor!
They likely didn't tell you to not worry/scare you. A coal deposit in the mine caught on fire and in some places it still prevents ice from forming in winter. No one lives there but you can still visit it. The road that lead to the town is covered in graffiti in what parts of it remain. There are efforts at the mine going on today so the town may come back some time in the future here.
We should all be glad PA's natural gas deposits aren't close to Centralia else the explosion would have been...well, Mt. St. Helens comes to mind for one of our smaller deposits.
Unless you were exposed at an earlier time and had a memory wipe...
The most terrifying part about Un London is that it was clearly once used
SCP-Foundation: Did you do it?
Hollis: Yes
SCP-Foundation: What did it cost?
Hollis: Everything
They should do a compilation video of all the SCP-001 videos to make it easier to binge watch then all
they did
There's many
"For once, a secret military operation was the more innocent option"
Hot damn that is a good line
honestly, if the scp foundation were discovered it would indeed bring fear, but going up against a foundation that kept all these creatures contained even with their methods is pretty stupid.
Agreed
It's honestly stupid to try to fight an organisation that's been protecting you for decades after all all it would take would be one scp like shy guy to be freed for mass death and no matter what new organisation appeares to contain new and old scps they would all probably get destroyed by monsters like the old man shy guy and other horrific threats because of a lack of experience
You say that... right up until the Foundation abducts one of your children to feed to SCP-974.
Is there going to be a video about SCP-294, which is a literal vending machine with a keyboard that can dispense any liquid within a certain range? The possibilities for it are boundless; it could extract infected cells from people with illnesses, it could find undiscovered elements, it could has lots of potential.
It did remove leukemia cells, but the condition returned. I don't think it went more into why/how.
there already us
It can also make a liquid to kill 682, permanently
@@iamacatperson7226 wouldn't they have to know what liquid would kill SCP-682 for that to work?
@@SwedishBs no. They just type in "682 killing liquid" (which has been done before) and it got rid of some of it's tissue, didn't even regenerate. Only problem is the machine only goes by a little cup full at a time
I love it when actual historical events are involved in the SCP's like what happened in Centralia PA. It just shows how creative the SCP community is. ❤
Please tell me I'm not the only one that puts this on while I'm playing games just so I feel like someone is actually there and I don't feel lonely
idk about last part, i'm introvert but i do watch/listen these videos while playing games.
You're not alone it feels off to play a game in otherwise silence
@@avatarxs9377 Same here.
You're not alone, Darian. A lot of people will put up podcasts or the like to have background ambiance, sometimes it's to feel like a part of a conversation, or if you're like me and have trouble sleeping, sometimes it helps to just listen to someone talking. Centralia: In real life, about seven people still live there legally. They made an agreement that their land defaults to the government after they pass, but they refuse to leave otherwise.
I'm still fairly new to SCP lore. This video was a great deep dive into it. Thank you
Bro that’s awesome your in for quite the treat the scp lore is on another level of genius writers ! Some of the stories will have you so involved and in to them that you forget it’s just a story
just a fair note you've probably figured all this out by now there isnt one canon lore but many
@@kaiyz4222 well technically they are all canon bc on the official website it says all our canon because they have the multiverse so there infinite amount of worlds where all this takes place. I have some great animated scp channels I’d love to recommend to u if your interested
@@ghostgamingxd7881 I’m interested also pls. I’m new to the scp lore too
If GHOSTGAMINGXD doesn’t respond here are my recommendations Dr Bob and The rubber are both good
Also, I like how Lovecraftian 4971 is. In the universe that HP Lovecraft created, there is a person name Ana Kahlo, an occultist. Miskitonic University is located in Arkham Massachusetts, and is referenced many times in Lovecraft's works.
The Centralia fires are so frightening - those fires have burned my entire life, probably your entire life, too, and will extend for hundreds of years to come. I've heard they could have been caused by celebrations the residents used to hold in Centralia - they used to hold a festival, but some of their fires got away from them, and started the subterranean fires. Really, really frightening stuff - it's not just inspiring for the SCP writings - those fires are the original inspiration for Silent Hill. The town had to be abandoned due to the smoke toxinsand a town of thousands now has only 8 holdouts, as of about 2005 - perhaps less now. To that, the fire creates a lot of smoke that gives the town an often foggy look. Really, really scary place now.
whew i didn't know it was the inspiration for silent hill. I love it when fiction uses real world events, the story in this SCP about trash burning gone awry is also (i'm told) one of the possible explanations. And honestly, given how terrifying it must have been and just how unbelievable the idea of a fire that burns for a hundred years is, supernatural explanations aren't far fetched. Like, yea the SCP is just a story but it could just as easily have been incorporated into an explanation or urban legend surrounding the events and i'd totally believe it.
btw it's shocking to me that no one actually knows for certain what caused the fire, evidently, dang
Its a famous town because of those fires, and i some day would like to see it for myself
And the fires are moving up the coal vein now! Heading towards the surrounding towns and mines.
@@magicrabbit9446 There isn't much left today. The town is completely abandoned. In 08? 010? There was an order to remove the last few hold outs. The town that was a huge mess of half standing buildings when I visited it in the early 90's is now nothing but a few semi standing building and half a church.
The road leading into the town is used by locals for street racing, though their track gets smaller every year too as it is not looked after and nature is reclaiming everything quickly.
If you want to see anything at all, You really only have a few years left.
Easy, move a mountain to this madness. Bury it again.
This whole channel should be a tv show
I love how SCP monsters have the classic 80s monsters vibe to them. You don’t see monsters like this these days. This some Creepshow material

"Extensive background checks"
You had scientist who fed anomalous candy to a child just to see what would happen, others who purposely set several euclid class anomalies free, those who very 'carefree and conceded' personality literally puts everyone lives in danger at almost any given moment, and even scientist who literally take advantage of scp's purely to get their kicks.
....Are these extensive background checks as thorough as a McDonalds burger flipper? Hell, I can't count how many guards either straight up ignored protocol or went awol and joined the global occult coalition. XD
when your casually vibin to SCP Explained then you realize it's been 8 hours, and it's 5 AM 🤣🤣
What would happen if they gave scp-682? (Lizard difficult to destroy) scp-348 the bowl of soup (a gift from dad) that wouldn't kill him, but it would leave him feeling harmonious and peaceful and he would stop being aggressive
This would actually work because with scp 999 it made 682 happy and peaceful so it’s natural to assume that would do the same unless 999 is just really powerful
If Dr Bright is dead u know shits gone down
The effects of 1179 on the surrounding area reminds me of the stories of Armageddon, Ragnorok, and many other names for the end of the world, it could be possible that said entity may have been a general or possibly a soldier in some diety's plan to take over but said plan was foiled by an unknown source leaving this entity trapped beneath the Earth?
Love the little reference to Half Life with the story of SCP-610 Aftermath, Roderick freeman is clearly the Dr Freeman from the game (I'm saying because of the same physical traits between the two) :D
1:38:13 ITS THE IMMORTAL SNAIL!!! RUN AND HIDE YOUR PRINTERS!!

"911 what's your emergency?"

When I first saw these videos' visual style, I was unsure. As I kept watching, it grew on me fast! It's so creative, on the surface, looks simple, but works so well. The entirity of the sound, presented style, the narrator, the Foley sounds, music, storytelling, and the visuals, all of it weaves together for a viewing experience that I am super happy to watch. There are so many details put in, and I realised the graphics were actually fairly complex in terms of things to notice and look at. Lots of love has been put into these. It reminded me that originality, and a passion for the story, is often lost in programs, these days. I subbed up ages ago, and haven't looked back since. The teams that put these together really know their stuff, and how to engage the audience. I keep coming back again, and again, with each new video put out, I am delighted to view ASAP. These compilations are awesome to nap or sleep to as well. Thanks, guys!

I found out about this channel today and i already love it 😊
Dinner just finished and I'm vibing and this drops. I love you guys.
In SCP-6000 it is mentioned that the Serpent’s Hand refers to the SCP Foundation as Jailors and the GOC as Bookburners. It makes sense since the SCP foundation controls information and ‘jails’ anomalies, whilst the GOC just destroys em
First story is really cool considering there actually is a six decade long coal seam fire burning in Centralia, Pennsylvania(just one of many worldwide apparently) but the cause of which is “still a matter of debate”
Dunno what SCP actually is, or how I ended up on this video, but it was fun to watch.
I was almost done cleaning my room and this just auto played and know I don't want to get up it's just to good to stop watching
The wanderer’s library goes by another name as well: Archive of Our Own
"The weight of death does not weigh as heavily" it's more than that, they are incapable of understanding what death is like.
I would say The Children is my favorite scp since the scp is really powerful. And it probably has the power to kill/ destroy other scps
When Day Breaks is more powerful though probably, The SCP-001-A Instances can bring you back to life just to bring you to the sun and turn you into an SCP-001-A Instance yourself.
@@CodeMan-tj3rt o-death is more scary and powerful tho
@@CodeMan-tj3rt That’s actually my second favorite, but when day breaks could be stopped if they used Scp 055 and scp 579 and brought them together.
@@oldarthurmorgan6319 SCP-2935 was successfully sealed off by The Foundation, as long as they don't mess with it then it's fine. However W.D.B comes without warning, and the SCP Foundation can't contain it, leaving billions turned into wax zombies immediately.
WDB is a terrifying scenario in the context that it's a fictional work and will not happen in real life. O, Death is terrifying not only because nothing can survive it if it ever happens but also because of the fact that it reminds the reader that death is an equaliser and will happen to anything and everything. The threat that O, Death poses is not a fictional one, but simply a hyperbole of a very real thing and that's what makes it more interesting.
At least, that's my opinion of it.
the most fictitious thing in the video is the russian government letting someone else handle the 610 situation lmao
Why does about an hour and kind of feel familiar like something about a disease and riots and potential War just feels so familiar
my god, i remember watching 3333 from the doctor's view as she went up the tower being chased by those things. Except as a voice over with a single picture in the back. I remember where the video was, but it was terrifying, my goodness didn't know it was an SCP but it was really good.
I love putting long videos like this on while I do stuff like work or hobbies
I would absolutely love to see a tale where the foundation goes in and shuts unlondon down
I like how in 610 they sent the ФСБ or in English, The FSB. Nice detail.
Thanks for putting SCP's that are in caves together
These animations are awesome.
SCP-1179's 30 meter height would be a lot bigger than most mine shafts.
They dont know fs how tall it is
1730 is a weird fanfic, but a GOOD fanfic.
I love how you saved the biggest stories for last
54:20 I bet all the SCP fans in this universe were just thinking “god dammit”
love your deep smooth voice!
I freaking love the SCP universe
Me too I am obsessed with it lol
I’m not even surprised that the Maquires are involved in a SCP story. Centralia is in my backyard. The fire is now moving up the vein of coal to the surrounding area. There’s still people living in Centralia, so no, not everyone was removed from the area.
These need more love, these videos are great
I love that the cop holds up a picture of a cow with octopus tentacles with a head at 38:12 as if this was a common thing that they get asked about
These videos are great, very entertaining
About 1179: Imagine taking a nap in your cave and waking up in an enclosed area surrounded by guards
"But lucky for you, you're wrong"
Those words have never sounded so threatening in my life 😬
Since there was no mention of Dr Bright after his imprisonment...
Here is my theory...
His amulet ended up in the hands of the gate guardian after site 13 went away again.
So Guardian Bright is born! xP
So is the SCP foundation canonically gone now, after the aftermath of 610? It's really difficult to keep up with the continuity, if there is one. So many differing stories and endings
There is no continuity
And Dimensions! Technically it’s gone in a lot of universes and only beginning in others. You get to decide which one we’re in
I would've drug a 18 wheeler trailer behind me full of food and moved into O'Death before they closed it off. Seems like the absolute best place ever to live. Not even microorganisms would be around to bug me, never get sick, never have a insect to bother you, never have a person to annoy you. Unless Death still roams around, but I guess if he got to me I'd be dead instantly and wouldn't have to worry about it.
Great video compilation guys
Would love to see y'all cover SCP 093
Damn. The worm was really familiar for some reason.
The art style for these videos is awesome.. hard work the animator(s) did..
Ever seen anthill sculptures? Where someone pours molten aluminum into an anthill? That could probably kill off 610.
SCP 6000 Sounds like this is the end of the foundation in the actual universe
Is it just me or is SCP-2935 sometime inconsistent, because sometimes I see that is says the MTF team did not mean to use the nuke, but in others I see that the MTF did mean to use the nuke as a last resort.
(Sorry for the bad grammar)
2:25:05 So I was listening to this while playing Minecraft, not really paying attention at all. It was late at night and everything else was quiet. Around this time, I swore I heard three gunshots from outside. After about half an hour of what was basically a panic attack thinking there was a public threat, waiting outside my door with binoculars and 911 ready to dial, I gave up and rewound my video, just to realize it was the sound of a hammer hitting the wall... Paranoia at its finest.
ur voice it pretty calming. i like to put on the long compilations and gts to them
2:15:29 Damn, who could've guessed that 1730 was also capable of duplicating Ross's name tag and giving one to his buddy!
I think..out of all of the new SCPs that I've seen. SCP-6000 is amongst more intreauging, Cool and downright screwed up SCPs I've ever known of. Amazing job to ROUNDERHOUSE.
Indiana being the portal to absolute death is accurate tbh
I just started getting into SCP lure a few months ago, so im still learning. But I have been to Centralia several times. Only a 50min drive away. It's actually very beautiful. A few people still live there, but it is mostly abandoned, and most buildings have been demolished to prevent surface fires.
There is no such unit of measurement as a "square acre". An acre is already a unit of surface area equal to roughly four thousand square meters (4046 and some change).
"Square acre" made me cringe more than the anomaly did :P
Jesus,u seem fun...🙄
@@jenh7417 I understand your point of view, I am pedantic, yes, and I do nitpick. On the other hand, I am a fan of the series, I subscribe to it, I like the videos and, as far as the algorithm cares, a comment is a comment, so in the end, commenting is good for the channel. The comment is not rude, dismissive of the content or offensive, so it doesn't "hurt" anything either.
And if one can't take a bit of constructive criticism, and own a mistake as glaring as that, then that's as much on them.
I don't think that's the case however.

Centralian fire demon is cool. Love to see it
There are times when real life stuff is involved in SCPs like manefort being very funny, then there’s even touching a modern civil war that feels crass
