Thank you for this video, specifically stating the type of battery needed and you really saved me by mentioning the little brown insulator required under the battery. I hadn't realized the insulator was stuck on the old battery and without it the watch didn't work at first.
Thanks for the video. You might mention in any future videos to always take care in making sure you do this repair in a low-humidity environment. Even a few seconds in a humid, non-air-conditioned environment can lead to water vapor appearing under the watch crystal even days after the battery has been replaced.
This happened to me, I live in Sweden and now at the beginning of winter humidity is always 90%+ No such thing as air conditioner anywhere where I can open my watch again. I'm thinking to re-do it after leaving the watch with the back case open in a sealed plastic bag with a couple of silicon bags (that usually come with the packing of other products) and try to screw the case somehow with out letting humidity in. Any thoughts?? I'll appreciate suggestions!
Thanks for the video!... And I was wearing a watch (Luminox Recon) with a Renata 370 Sr920w battery, but I didn’t find exactly the same one, can Renata 371 SR920sw fit ..... Thank you!
great vid, thanks for sharing it with us. Btw. have you encountered any situation where the watch's movement stopped after closing the back lid? Also, I accidentally broke the negative terminal (little flat wire in battery housing) and wondering whether this can be purchased individually? Any thoughs? Many thanks
How do you get the chronograph back to the 12 o'clock position? My battery was just replaced (3080) and if I use the chronograph, it resets to the 59 min mark.
You don't know what you're doing. 1. You shouldn't touch a battery you're installing with your fingers as oils on your skin can damage batteries 2. You shouldn't tighten screws in that order.

Any Swedish good watch brand ?
Thanks. Simple, clear video. Fwiw, I had a 395 battery in my 8800, but 371 (a little thinner) seems to work fine. Cheers
I’ve shorted a few watches out using tweezers. I’d recommend getting tweezers that are non metallic. Learn from my expensive mistakes.
Yep!

Where can I buy a replacement gasket / o ring for 8800 model? Thanks
Great instructional video. What size screwdriver were you using, and where can I purchase the gasket compound?
It’s a Philips 00

Why you have to remove silicone gasket?
What are the size of those screws? I have a 3050 and lost a couple.
I thought you weren't supposed to hold a battery between your fingers like that am I incorrect.?
What movement takes a cr2012 battery? It's a luminox I'm trying to figure it out.
Hi my friend, the name the lubricant is?
I've got the luminox recon... 8831... I think.. I changed the battery and nothing happens.. what am I doing wrong??
I have the same problem.
Did you figure anything out?
1-2 years? Thought the battery was good for 4-5 yrs
Similar things to casio mrw200h

How should you do it then?
@@royk9028 With watch tweezers, carefully.
