I must admit, though, I died a little inside when you started on it with the tangle teaser. Curly hair can get damaged with brushes when it's brushed dry. I know it's for the sake of the ASMR. I'll just keep repeating that to myself 🤣
wdym it can get damaged? i have a pretty similar hair texture to her but im a guy and i didnt grow it out till a few years ago and nobody in my family rlly has such curly hair all of which adds up to that i basically have no idea how to take care of it and i just been winging it lol. i usually brush it dry right before i shower and i've noticed that generally gives jt better texture than most the other things ive tried but what im supposed to shower first or something?

Dry brushing curls with inflexible brushes, like the tangle teaser, can cause breakage. wide tooth combs are typically preferred to detangle curls. flexible bristles on brushes are better than inflexible. brushing curls when they're wet helps prevent breakage because tangles loosen easier when wet.
since you have just recently begun your curl journey, please allow me to give you some more tips.
don't wash your hair too frequently. frequent washes strip the scalp of its natural oils that protect the hair, which curls desperately need. frequent washes therefore create a dry environment that makes hair damage much more likely. Most people with curly hair wash their hair once a week, twice at most. We secrete scalp oil in lesser quantity and frequency than people with straight hair, so we do not get greasy/dirty scalp as quickly. between washes, detangling with that wide tooth comb instead of a brush helps keep the curls in tact without breaking the hair or disrupting the natural clumps of curls. if you use a hairdryer, be sure to use a diffuser attachment. the diffuser helps to disperse the air in a way that dries the curls without tangling or frizzing.
Some people with curly hair swear by sleeping on satin pillow cases, but I personally prefer 100% cotton. i have fine curly hair and I find that satin creates a lot of static in my fine textured hair. many people wear bonnets or other hair coverings to bed so their curls don't get tangled while they sleep and move around. I put my hair in a loose bun atop my head at night. my mother does the same with her curly hair. but if you've only recently started growing it out, you likely don't have need of a bun or bonnet to keep long curls in order. I hope this helps you and was informative. 😁

@@tori4408 not necessarily. Length and type. A while back she asked about different type of hair models, like 4C or 3B ect. It’s only a suggestion. People do come in all shapes and sizes, body and hair. It’s her channel and she can post whomever she likes. I’m not saying I don’t love she channel cause I do love her channels. All I’m saying a different variety would be nice every once in a while.

As I commented on Katie's video, ASMR has became a huge part of my life in 2022 since losing not only 1 of my parents but both of them. My dad suddenly passed away on January 22nd 2022 and my mom suddenly passed away on March 1st 2022. So I've turned to ASMR for anxiety relief and relaxation. While ASMR may not take away my anxiety it helps a ton! Thank you so much for all your time, effort and hard work that you put into these videos! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
