I am 91 and have seen many movies in my long life but none affected me as much as Anne of Green Gables, I fell in love, not with Macbeth McNaulty but with Anne Shirley Cuthbert. She was so wise beyond her years, so dedicated to speaking the truth and demanding honesty and goodness in people and without predictive toward people from different cultures. I am reminded of Shakespeare’s to be or not to be, whether it’s nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune or to take up arms against a sea of troubles and by confronting, end them. Anne certainly fought against a sea of troubles and took up arms against mankind’s many virtuous failures and won everyone, young snd old to her more virtuous way of thinking. I have never gone back time and time again to marvel at her accomplishments, a guide for all mankind, bless you Anne and Amybeth for portraying her so wonderfully well. Bless you

(-; And she has a lifetime to become who she truly is but is yet to find. I think she has learned a lot from really interpreting and going through Anne's story, which has helped her to see many things I am sure. I hope her all the accomplishment of her shoal and to do what truly matters for her and what she loves ♥
I love the fact that we can really have the perspective of the on place filming, and the own experience during it from Amybeth McNulty. It is very interesting to see her perspective, the personal preparation, stories about all the filming, and what really where the purposes of the messages and the explanations about many mysteries of this beautiful show.
So she is not natural blonde... At first I thought "wow so they were limited to redhead girls and still managed to find such an actress", but now I see they weren't limited, which actually makes a lot of sense, since she is really convincing in this darker, more realistic version of Anne of Green Gables. And freckles she also doesn't have real freckles. The next time I'll be watching the first two seasons (you gotta do something waiting for the third) I'll pay attention to freckles pattern is it the same in every episode ;)
My sister and I watch Anne, we live in Southern Alberta and love the Canadian shows #CBC puts out there. I've never been to T.O. or PEI, but PEI is on my bucket list to do things. My great grandfather is from Belfast Ireland. Amybeth, from one actor to another, I enjoy your work on Anne, your fun, bubbly, sweet. I hope Anne continues forever!
I loved the show reminded me of little house on the prairie , Laura inggails though the setting on this is Prince Edward Island and not redwood county Minnesota. The portrayal of Anne Shirley by Amybeth McNulty was beautifully played as well as the remaining cast members , it gave me a sense of. What life must have been like in the midst of the twentieth century. I look forward to more episodes and will keep an eye on the young talented Amybeth
Amybeth, her acting, and Anne with an e, ALL of it, just makes me happy!! I can relate to her on so many levels though I have never been an orphan. The talking and the enthusiasm and the imagination and using bigger words! And let's not forget the big emotions and temper ! LOL my husband watches it with me and says, that's you! The filming and scenes, the choice of environment, costumes, way of acting is just amazing ♥ This hard work from so many really gave its fruits! Moira Walley-Beckett has done an amazing job, I think this movie has so much story and expresses many points. The movie, filming, costumes, as well as all the environment so well chooses and all the frameworks were just perfectly fitting. Thank you (-:
