I don’t think lennys death is forgotten because if you played the game side missions or even if you didn’t, Lenny was someone that really impacted Arthur and was a big change to story.
Yea I agree, I would go as far as to say Lenny and Arthur had sort of like a Father-son relationship, Lenny looked up to him and Arthur cared for him. If not it's a mentor and apprentice type relationship
Maybe it's me, but I can never forget grimshaw's death. I mean she was the first to speak up and side with Arthur in the final battle and she was shot down. Her screams are always in my mind because she didn't go down without a fight. Now compare that to say Molly who died in a similar way, IE in the stomach, but hers was unsettlingly quiet after the shot? That's just....wow
I mean... Grimshaw got gut shot by a revolver, there's plenty of time for immense pain and groaning before death, Molly got shot point plank in the torso by a pump action shotgun, there's just no groaning to be had there, even if you survive the initial impact, you'd be in so much pain you couldn't mutter a sound
Grimshaw's death to me signified the end of the gang. Up until that point it was at least shown some form of remorse or sadness by a member of the gang being killed, even with Molly it was a "rules are rules" and sad necessary punishment at the time. But with Grimshaw the way everyone just stared and did nothing showed me the gang was really dead.
I think Molly's death perfectly represents her character. An outsider who is forgotten and ignored. The other women in the gang don't like her, Dutch grows tired of their relationship, and in terms of the story she is used very little. Even the one mission where you see Arthur talking to Molly, she is interrupted and ignored. Molly's only call for attention was in that moment of "betrayal" yet it brought her nothing but a bullet. Tragically cast aside during her time with the gang and quickly executed by the group falling short on trust. A person playing the game forgets her just as the gang does.
I actually couldnt forget Molly her death is her most memorable moment especially when I forst played and thought it was bs that they believed shw was the rat when Micah is right there
I mean she got special treatment in the gang. That alone would cause a rift between others let alone how Molly went about being herself day to day. I think Grim Shaw saw an opportunity then remembered "the rules" ya know.
Kieran’s death was one of the most unsettling and heartbreaking ones. Arthur grew to like him even though he was originally a complete outsider… and Kieran was clearly developing a love interest with Mary-Beth if you pay attention their small interactions at the camp.
I wouldn't really say any of them are 'forgettable'. Some deaths come to mind before others of course, but I never forgot about any of these peoples' deaths or how they died.
Uncle going out defending John's ranch is so badass. Uncle was always a real one. Uncle is the brains of the gang and of johns ranch not the brawns. Lol
Uncle is extremely tragic when you look him deep down he lost his parents at 9 had to live in the streets being a thief and then lived with the van der lin gang where he was made fun of for being useless even though he actually pulls his weight and suffers with depression and guilt from his childhood
Lenny's death was one of the most memorable for me along with Hosea, Sean and Arthur. The amount of times I restarted that part of the mission to see if I could say Lenny... I stopped playing for about a year after losing both Hosea and Lenny in the same mission, it was heart breaking.
I feel so bad about kieran. His death was so forgettable to me, that during my first playthrough, which took two weeks because i was so immersed in everything, I didn't even realize/recognize it was him on that horse. I just noticed he hadn't been around camp for awhile until either it was someone mentioning it, likely mary-beth, or i had watched a video or something and they said it was him. I felt absolutely horrible.
Mrs. Grimshaw ? I don't know... She's quite a complex character. On the one hand, when you see her, you ask yourself "What's wrong with this old bitch?", but on the other hand, she was the first person who went to save Tilly and she was also the first person who stood by the side of Arthur. Molly? It's really horrible what happened to her (not only her death) but also the way Dutch treated her, how he constantly neglected her. But I think we all remember how Molly herself treated the other girls and their treatment of her is not without reason. But it should also be noted that there were girls who stood up for Molly and called Susan - a murderer!
I believe Micah killed grimshaw because he remembered her killing molly. So he shot her first chance he got because she wouldn’t hesitate to kill Micah for being a rat.
i think luisa was a somewhat forgettable death. she died in the finale mission of the mexican revolution. after her death you fight a huge battle against the army. and after the mission john goes back to blackwater and never goes back to mexico.
RDR2 got more depressing because the gang got smaller, shifted more from its original morals and principles. Notice how the remaining gang members looked when Dutch demanded everyone pick which side they were on at the end of chapter 6. They were all rough single men with guns and nothing to live for but to survive. No children. No women. Kieran was right when he said this gang was the same as the ODriscolls.
Lenny will never be forgotten if even for the fact that Roger Clark said everybody always asks him to shout "LENNNAAAAY!!" like he did in the bar mission
All the people who would have sided with Arthur were killed before the final confrontation, Lenny and Hosea most likely and I like to think Kieran would have too. So in the end all Arthur had was John and Sadie.
Lenny had his whole life ahead of him and almost certainly would've gotten out of the outlaw life and made something of himself if he hadn't been killed.
I never liked how Dutch had no reaction to Mrs. Grimshaw’s death. There should’ve been a line in there for something like, “Micah, what the hell?” People argue because he’s so far gone he doesn’t care, but there should’ve at least been a line of dialogue in there.
Kieran hit hard on me. I liked him because he did chores with me. My daily routine every morning in the camp started with coffee and cigarette and he was somewhere around cleaning tables, brushing horses... The one morning after Jack´s rescue party when I lit my cigarette and he wasn´t smoking behind the cabine in Shady Belle like every other morning... I was worried and blamed myself I didn´t care about him before. I spent much more time with him in the second playthrough. Miss Grimshaw was just my favorite. I must appreciate Micah's killer instinct to kill off the most dangerous opponent first (and btw Susan and Micah have great chemistry together).
Kieran tears me apart because I'm in chapter 2 and Kieran is literally the only one that doesn't make fun of Arthur or anyone and he's the only one who actually does chores
Ms. Grimshaw killed Molly because she saw an opportunity. She was clearly jaded given the fact she was forced to take a backseat and probably went from a respectful role as Dutch's mistress to supply role as a camp organizer.
Uncle is more suited for a supervisor than a builder 😂 but he is extremely smart than it seems he calls dutch on his bull s and is extremely wise when talking to him in cam
Kieran's death was pretty memorable to me just because it was so vicious and tragic (had a soft spot for the guy and usually followed his backstory and camp interactions, obviously plenty others feel the same). And Susan's death is memorable to me for all the wrong reasons, every time it comes up I'm just like "wow the game just leaves her writhing in the background of the scene with no dignity huh", and before anyone says "well maybe it was SUPPOSED to be indignant, its the wild west and brutal and ect", my response would be that it doesn't feel intentional it feels like they were rushing to have an in-game reason as to why Arthur and John had no backup. Like when they wrote that scene they were like "oh yeah Grimshaw is still at camp, we better take care of that story beat quick so it doesn't overshadow the big climax".
Lenny here is in a weird spot for me where I forgot about his death, the kill itself, but never forgot that he did die As for Grimmshaw, she does deserve #1 most forgettable, especially when considering the fact that she died on the same day as Arthur and were both killed by the same person
Honestly, besides Molly (and even then Molly's death makes everyone on edge), every death had an impact on the camp or Arthur, so I don't think any death is really "forgetful"
this game is amazing, Each characters death feels so real like I actually got to know them only to have them taken from me, and they're only fictional!
Lenny actually was one of the more harder hitting deaths for me. He wasn't even 20, basically at a point with the Gang both John and Arthur were at one point. Just a Boy on the way to make a Name for himself. ESPECIALLY how sudden he died is what made it so hard hitting for me.
Lenny's death was quick but I never forgot him. It was quick which is a good thing he was a good kid and didn't deserve a long and drawn out death. Kieran was a good kid as well who made a choice, be a stooge for Colm or die he was stuck and even when he thought he could get out Colm's boys had eyes on him and got him when he was drunk. I always felt bad for Kieran but i'm the type to cheer for the underdog. As Uncle's Grave marker said "Impossible to forget" for me that's the truth. Molly was a product of the time she lived in, but she refused to be married off to some stuffed shirt so jumped a ship to North America looking for adventure and was unlucky enough to catch the eye of Dutch and that her life in a nutshell, Unlucky and lonely. Lonely to the point it drove her crazy. Once again even though she was as stuck up due to her upbringing and just about as lazy as Uncle I once again felt myself feeling sorry for her. Ahh Miss Grimshaw, that woman annoyed me to know end but I did like her somewhat. She was like the den mother of the gang and her loyalty to Dutch was squandered as he didn't even care when she was killed. At least Charles respected her enough to come back and give her a proper burial.
Yall not talking about how quickly Dutch forgets. He never showed any issue with Molly dying, never once did he reprimand Micah for the murder of Grimshaw, he lightly acknowledged Lenny's death, hell he never even talks about Hosea's death afterwards(although hes clearly very upset by it in the missions)
When I started my first playthrough, I was absolutely DEVASTATED when I saw a spoiler saying that Lenny died later in the game, right after I was absolutely gutpunched by Sean's death.

He didn't go back and completely reshoot all 3 movies over again. After the mission at the start of horseshoe overlook with the reverend, I thought he'd get more development, but all we ever did again with him was the start of the nuns strangers missions... I just thought a smaller gang would have been better, I mean you can still have some people around that come and go, like Trelawny, but you could definetly cut away some fat...
Molly deserved better, all she wanted to do was be accepted by her peers and approval from dutch. Susan Grimshaw as well, she was the reason camp ran how it did, without her it wouldn’t be order, it would be chaos. Same with Hosea. Lenny’s death never sat well with me. he was so easily discarded, rockstar could have did him better justice
Lenny’s death was probably the worst one in the game other than Hosea and obviously Arthur’s. Sure, the death was incredibly sudden and didn’t allow much time to process (similar to Sean’s death in Rhodes), but I think that’s what made it so shitty. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rockstar purposely made Lenny’s death that way in order to further emphasize the dire circumstances that the gang constantly found themselves in throughout the story-especially in Chapter 4.
Is the what arthur shouts when lenny based on something, because for me he's always said 'you godd*mn b*astards'. (censored because youtube might suspend me or something)
None of the gangs deaths were forgettable each one hits as hard as the last. Fam is fam and they were all a family. The only death nobody will ever care about and even enjoy is micha hilariously getting shot by dutch..and even that was bitter sweet . Sorry but this made no sense 😑

I always felt it was karma coming back onto Grimshaw for the way she killed Molly.

Author definitely wanted Lenny to prosper and do something better with his life down the road.
You can't forget Molly's death, it's the only time in the game where she is the center of attention.
Who's Molly?
😉
She's literally the Meg (family guy) of red dead redemption
I like how more people remember Heidi McCourt, a character who's only ever been mentioned, than Molly.
Molly literally is meg but in red dead nobody really liked her not even dutch gave a crap about her

Is the what arthur shouts when lenny based on something, because for me he's always said 'you godd*mn b*astards'. (censored because youtube might suspend me or something)
i think rockstar chose to make their deaths forgatable to some point to show us how rutheless it used to be back then
If I remember correct, Abigail died of pneumonia in 1915, just prior to taking control of jack.
Dude forgot about Davy in the list for forgettable deaths🤣
I don't think Lennys death is forgettable and I'll never forget starting the Sadie mission in shady Belle and seeing kieran holding his own head
The door was moved the most by Uncles death 7:28
Mrs. Grimshaw. 😔
Lenny didn't even get a cutscene, he's killed mid mission and then everyone except Arthur and Charles run past with zero care of what happened
Javier stopped too.
can u make a vid about what would happen if jack went to itally
I gave you all I had: mostly hunted never gave to the camp.
Same, Arthur was a Class A bullshitter to the bitter end with me at the helm 😁
I think maybe you’re just forgetful, friend
what a wonderful way to start the video bud 😕
What do you mean?
@@CynicGTA thé scène that made all us cry the most
whats the song he uses in the background
I remember all the deaths
What jacket did you use at 3:47
Spoiler alert while showing the end of the game lmao
I miss lenny
Lies ! The ending of rdr1 hurt me to the core lol
Rdr1 ending broke 7 yr old me in half
Wait Arthur dies?
No Sean?
None of the gangs deaths were forgettable each one hits as hard as the last. Fam is fam and they were all a family. The only death nobody will ever care about and even enjoy is micha hilariously getting shot by dutch..and even that was bitter sweet . Sorry but this made no sense 😑
Sean
2:50
"major spoilers ahead beware" *shows the literal fucking ending*
i think you have short attention span lol
Arthurs death is probably the most forgettable to me coz i was too excited to finally get to play as John again 😁
RDR1 still the best game ever.
Damn good game🎉
Nobody liked Susan to be fair lol.
Am I alone? I liked her
Bro I like her, I didn't like her till my second playthrough 2 years later after my first playthrough.
@@soldiersgr996same man, she came across as a miserable control freak the first time for me,
Second time more like a Mother with understandable reasons for sometimes losing her patience
@@joedwyer3297 yea she's definitely like a mother figure. Can't believe she died the way she did and Dutch didn't feel even slightly bad
@@soldiersgr996 exactly and yeah Dutch was too far gone
This first thing he says after she gets shot is asking who's still loyal
All about him and she's not even dead yet as he's speaking
The irony in the fact that Karen is not even listed here is insane.
Title is about most forgettable deaths, but…. Content seems more based on ‘forgettable’ characters…. That’s a shame.
