Bless you for making this. I'm a veteran with PTSD and my memory is SHOT. I was getting so frustrated that I almost quit watching Critical Role completely because I remember bits and pieces of these campaigns and would watch 20 mins to realize I've already seen this episode, but not remembering any context to just jump ahead and plow on. And I was only on like....episode 5 😂
I needed this SO BAD I've been wanting to get into the campaign since session 1 but my ADHD makes it impossible to listen to 4 hour long videos.
I feel the same way.
And only one break, watching live is hard
if you are still struggling, I got some tips! I struggle a lot to even start them because the thought of a task like that is terrible, so I throw them on in the background, and most of the time on 2x speed. This won't help you start episodes but maybe it will help you stick through them!

I really enjoyed how Liam continues his hair touching as a sign of affection in campaign 3. I really like what Dorian brings to the cast as well. We haven't had a charming soft boy like him.

I’m trying to think of something more specific as my favorite thing so far from campaign three, but… honestly, Dorian.
I really loved Robbie’s presence at the table, & even through what some would consider missteps, loved his thought process/approach to Dorian. And his exit with the little airship may very well be one of the most iconic moments from this campaign.
In typing through this, I also loved the ball a lot. I love the cross connections between campaigns. Even though Matt is (or at least used to be) averse to heavy crossovers in the main campaign, I eat it up lol
The Milo fixing Ashton Flashback is up there too
Dorian was wonderful and I hope we see him again in C3 🥺
I just happened to come across this and been needing it badly! Watching EXU Calamity really made me want to catch up on C3 after falling behind 4 episodes in. Thanks for this! Sometimes the algorithm really works.

I originally started watching campaign 3 as it was coming out but, since I am a neurodivergent binge watcher, I quickly got bored of waiting for episodes to come out each week so I decided to stop watching for a while and then catch up. This video was so helpful in reminding me on the few episodes I already watched when I finally picked it back up! This is the first video I have seen from your channel but I hope you keep up with the recaps as we go along. I love what you do, and I know great things are going to come for you!

You have my deepest gratitude. I start a 6 month certification class in two weeks and have been cramming the campaign so hard so I can get caught up and participate socially, but it’s really not enjoyable to rush through. I’ll go back and enjoy it properly, but FOMO must be stopped first! Thanks!

omg ur a life saver, I started watching campaign 3 when it first started and got to episode 11ish, I got busy with work and next thing I know it's just over a year later and we're in the 50s now, suffice to say I did not remember what happened in the first 11 episodes anymore but now I'm ready to jump back in where I left off

I had no idea we had a campighn one call back with Keyleth. I wathced a goood chucnk of campighen one AND the legend of vox macina but wanted to start campighn 3 and was looking for a quick recape, not only was I super happy to see a call back to Keyleth but found this super helpful... thank you.

Thank you; just found this and it helped me sort of find my way as I feel very lost currently with Season 3 because I can't remember all of the current quests. Here are my questions now that you've done this (well, a month ago). Any answers would be so appreciated; please forgive any mispellings...a newbie critter:
What about the dust found from episode 2, Broomstone?
Did they ever figure out about the fighting furniture? Or was that just a connection to the Nightmare King?
Did they ever figure out about the Shade Creepers? Was that all settled with the fight in Episode 16 with the Shade Mother?
Or about how Duggar was in some weird “ooze form”? We are told later about assassins “melting away,” so is this connected?
Are the Corsairs important still to the story?
Episode 7-Imogen took a mysterious orb in the Mimic? Are those the same things just found in the cave? Or the same thing as in episode 16 (“strange purple crystal”). After the crystal is taken from the Shade Mother, she holds onto it, but the first “mysterious orb” from episode 7 is never mentioned again. Were they different? Did she get rid of the crystal from episode 7?
Episode 17 is when they leave town to go to Hartmore…why did they go there? Was that for the thing for Ashton’s character?
Episode 21 Orem gets directive for some seminary to find out more about what happened to the Lumis twins; this hasn’t happened yet, right?
I'm glad it was helpful! ☺️ I think most of the things you bring up are still unresolved. In Episode 17 they left to go to Hartmore to do the museum break in job that Jiana Hexum hired them for.
@@Luboffin Oh, thank you so much Luna. I’ve written elsewhere that this is why I don’t play open world RPG games because I get lost, and then frustrated, by having so many unresolved quests. I remember quitting Witcher because I finally was at point where I had like 15 quests, and I couldn’t ever complete them. 🤦♂️ And since CritRole does the four hour episodes, and most are so engaging, that I’m into that story time, but can’t help but thinking “wait, what about X from 15 episodes ago…is that no longer a thing?”
As someone new to CR and started with C3 (and EXU), I have quite an attachment for the EXU trio (and Dorian in particular. Because it was nice watching Robbie-who's just new to Exandria as I am-see the world and start on this new journey like I did).
So him leaving was hard for me and I'm still trying to adjust. But Matt and the rest of crew have been so amazing in telling their stories and showing how alive the world is that it's hard to not stay.
Favorite moment I'd have to say were Chetney and Dorian's bonding and just the EXU trio having their spoon moments 🥲
That's totally fair, I hope Dorian makes an appearance in C3 too!
Now I can watch CR later to forget my broken heart over EXU Calamity.

I, for some reason, fell very much out of love with CR, but then sorta fell back IN love with it with Calamity.
New comment, I'll edit after watching video, I'm hoping you can convince me to watch C3.
EDIT: You do a great job, but it might just be me not having enough time/mental space to keep up with C3. Tbh, though, I think I'll come back to watch more recaps, and then watch clips of certain plot points I find especially awesome.
That's fair! It will always be there if you ever feel like jumping into it but if you're not digging it no point in forcing it 😊

I went from my job allowing me to listen to 2 episodes of criticle role a day to maybe 20miutes aweek since I quit that jobs cause beside listening to CR, I F***** hated being there, was able to listen to all of Campaign 2, 2/3 of 1 and was listening to 3 weekly on youtube release but fell behind during the death race 28

Sam; I guess oil can like FCG? / Avalanch and sword surfing? Untold backstory? Why did you break the formula here guys, I need to understand. Sam has zero robot references in this intro and the only one that might have been one came first, not second.

In C2, Nott (Veth?) and beau kind of water ski/ fight in an episode! I can't remember the context, but it may be a reference to that!
