    I like to play the game on Lone Wolf so all this stuff is even more important since start with a single settler and only have a day before snow comes

    Great content as always! What size do you recommend for vegetable fields, like cabbage, in the early days so that your workers aren't tied up farming all day long but still have enough to feed themselves?

    • @SolutOdka
      @SolutOdka  Год назад +2

      Hi, this is a good question, and there is not really a straight forward answer. This would depend on several parameters with pro and cons. In essence for your colony pure consumption, you do not need too much resources, and if you have not prepared a cellar for food conservation, there is really no need to overproduce ! However, if you do not have good farming skill villagers, then it is good to produce in good quantities to improve the skills of your people (in that aspect, try not to plant all at the same time, rather by batches, so that you will also harvest by batches). Another parameter could be to consider having some fields to produce actual food, while other fields produce seeds (this takes longer to grow, but you can then grow your seed pool for the next year planting season: in this aspect it often try to harvest & buy all kind of seeds in the first year, so that i can grow a good pool of seeds for year 2). Also in case of blights, you could lose all your production if you were to have 1 big field, so better split into smaller fields (which is also in line with the concept to 'spreading over time' planting and harvesting). this also depends if you have researched the dried meat for example, and are having good stocks for winter. It can also be influenced on your research level in the alcohol tree, as you can use your produce to some extent this way as well. And if ever you end up during winter with a shortage of food, there are solutions to hunt wolves for example and get a good storage of meat to feed your village for the end of winter :). I hope this helps and you will enjoy this game as much as I do :) !

    After failing rimworld sea ice so many times, I am giving this a try.

    • @SolutOdka
      @SolutOdka  Месяц назад

      This is relatively easier than Rimworld I think, generally speaking :). But this is very fun, the 3D building environment offers possibilities that Rimworld can't !

    • @SolutOdka

      Hi there. Upon construction of the research bench, you need to open the technology tree and unlock it there.

      @HealthHappener 10 месяцев назад +1

      You have to harvest some red currant to be able to plant it.

    • @SolutOdka
      @SolutOdka  9 месяцев назад

      As replied below, you need a first harvest to 'discover' it :) !

    F me man, I'm trying so hard not to buy this game. But I can't help my self, I've just discovered it and I really want to play it. It seems extremely rimworld inspired

    • @SolutOdka
      @SolutOdka  6 месяцев назад

      Hello, yes indeed this is very similar to Rimworld ! It is somehow a bit less advanced in some functionalities of the game as it is still in EA development, but it offers more in the sense that you have a 3D environment with upper and lower levels when building your castle !
