New subscriber. First off, thanks for saving me from buying the Polaris 280 (saw your review). My big question for the Dolphin and others is are they all capable of navigating around/over the main drain cover without getting stuck and eroding the liner. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing your other content.
With all the Dolphins I have tested, I have had no issues with it getting stuck on my main drain. However if it does, there is a solution! It seems based off of some of the comments I have gotten that it can happen on select drain types, so if this happens I would highly recommend getting a Main Drain Clip On. These are little clips that go over your drain cover and are flush with it so you can't tell it is even on it - but it is a great solution if your robot does get stuck on the drain!
Hi Justin!! Do you recomend buying a refurbished unit? I’m between the sigma and the premier but the difference in price for a refurbished unit is huge and they still have the 3yrs warranty
I would highly recommend it. If you buy from select Authorized Dealers, they'll have that same full 3 year warranty you mentioned and it is a great way to save big on some of the best robotic pool cleaners out there. Poolbots has some here that recently went on sale: www.poolbots.com/pool-cleaner-categories/refurbished-robotic-pool-cleaners
